Qipao dressing experience [Republic of China style]: Very good, beautiful colors, elegant design. The hotel itself is stunning, with a small courtyard perfect for photos and breakfast. The terraces on the third and fourth floors offer direct sea views and a view of the Bagua Building, including at night. The service was also excellent, with prompt replies and thoughtful reminders at specific times. The Loft was interesting to stay in; I'll try other room types next time. Overall, highly recommended!

A century-old Gulou, full of charm. It's very close to Bagua Tower. The shower facilities are a bit basic, and it can get a bit cold if there's a temperature drop. The view from the rooftop observation deck at night is fantastic.

The hotel is not far from the pier, directly opposite the Bagua Building, and next to Xiamen No. 2 Middle School. You can see the school's sports field right from the window. The rooftop offers great views, including river scenery. The rooms retain their elegant Republic of China-era style and are very clean.

Brought my parents to Gulangyu, Xiamen for a three-day stay. I have to say, the suite we chose was absolutely fantastic, with two bathrooms – perfect for a family of three traveling with elderly parents. The hotel staff contacted us via WeChat in advance; we just had to let them know when we boarded the ferry, and they arranged a pickup at the pier. The hotel is quite close to the pier. Gulangyu is full of these uphill and downhill paths. The only minor drawback is the big slope right in front of the hotel, but after three days, we got used to it. And because of that slope, the hotel is situated on high ground, offering amazing views from the rooftop. **Romantic Rooftop Afternoon Tea for Two [Afternoon Tea]:** A leisurely afternoon tea on the rooftop with my family of three on an autumn day was delightful. **Qipao Dress-up Experience [Republic of China Style]:** My mom looked great in her qipao, and the hotel staff (a young lady) was very good at helping her pose for photos. Breakfast is a fixed portion per person, but you can ask for more if needed. All in all, it was a very satisfying stay. Xiamen was great, but coming back has been a bit of a shock to the system, still recovering!

The hotel is a century-old heritage building with a beautiful garden, complete facilities, and is clean and hygienic. The service here is absolutely excellent; the ladies are friendly and thoughtful, and the gentlemen are diligent and gentle. My mom was so happy with the cheongsam photoshoot they offered. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

The hotel proactively contacted us about purchasing ferry tickets and even arranged for a pick-up at the pier, which was fantastic. The location is also excellent. The third-floor rooftop is very unique, and the rooms are well-equipped. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, and the cheongsam dress-up and photo session was a really meaningful experience.
