Yangshuo Sugar House

I arrived at the hotel initially in a sour mood. I took a taxi from the station, and the meter showed 103 yuan for a half-hour ride to the hotel, even though the most expensive Didi ride was 70 yuan. The driver also refused to provide a metered receipt, as it would show the time and distance, only offering a fixed-fare ticket. I'd like to remind everyone not to just hail a taxi outside the station for convenience, as they might tamper with the meter. It was my sister's 60th birthday that day, and I had specifically requested room decoration to celebrate when booking through Trip.com. The hotel thoughtfully decorated the room and even sent a birthday cake and a bottle of red wine. My wounded heart felt warm comfort and immense gratitude. I didn't go anywhere during my two-day stay; I just spent my time taking photos around the hotel. The hotel is converted from the core buildings of an old sugar factory, nestled among mountains and directly facing the Li River. It beautifully retains the historical charm of industrial architecture while incorporating the natural beauty of the karst landscape, and has even won numerous design awards. The hotel's design is very unique, with picturesque spots everywhere. The weather was also cooperative, making for excellent photos. I had two lunches at the hotel restaurant, and the food was delicious. There were welcome fruits, and the drinks in the minibar were complimentary, allowing guests to enjoy them freely. The service is beyond words; it's meticulous and anticipatory, addressing guests' needs before they even arise, and embedding quality in unseen details. Guests don't feel 'served' but rather genuinely cared for and understood.

A very satisfying stay. The environment was great, the room facilities were complete, and the bed was very comfortable. There's free parking, which makes getting around convenient. Special shout-out to our housekeeper, Luna, for her excellent service. Highly recommended!

Converted from a dilapidated sugar factory from the 1970s, it retains the industrial charm of its mottled exterior walls and gantry crane foundations, yet seamlessly blends in modern minimalist aesthetics. The fusion of old architecture and new design creates surprises around every corner. This place is an absolute paradise for photography enthusiasts; you can capture stunning, high-quality shots just by standing anywhere. The staff's warm and thoughtful service made us feel incredibly welcome. From the welcome fruit at check-in to the attentive service during meals, every detail showed genuine care. Any request was promptly addressed, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was another highlight, offering a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options with fresh, authentic ingredients – so satisfying that you might even skip lunch! Even without venturing out to tourist attractions, you can comfortably while away your time at the hotel. Whether it's lounging by the pool or playing with the rabbits and ducks in the courtyard, it's all so relaxing and therapeutic. Definitely worth revisiting!

A beautiful and exquisite hotel. The location is great, very close to West Street, just a short taxi ride away. I didn't experience any of the noise issues mentioned online. Definitely worth staying at.

Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven, and Yangshuo's scenery is the best in Guilin. When visiting Guilin, Yangshuo is a must-see. This time, I booked the Sugar House, a place I frequent. The hotel is a converted old sugar factory. The rooms are spacious, and the balconies are wide. The swimming pool is right by the Li River, offering beautiful views. The night lighting is also excellent, and the breakfast has a wide variety of Chinese and Western options. The only downside is that the hotel is located by the road, so there's a fair bit of noise. It would be even better if the honking from passing vehicles could be controlled a bit more.
