Forest Rise Chalets and Lodge

Such a beautiful piece of paradise that I have been visiting for many years now. My go to place when visiting the region and will not stay anywhere else but forest rise.

Chilled and relaxed stay with everything you need for a winter getaway. Right in the middle between Margaret River and Dunsborough and all the wineries and craft breweries which we frequented during our stay. Plenty of wood to keep the fire going for our 4-night stay. Thanks Team at Forest Rise.

A blissful retreat in the forest. The team at Forest Rise have paid extraordinary attention to detail in creating these lovely chalets placed in secluded spots around the property. From the moment you enter you feel that you are being cherished. The sounds of the forest, the sights of the forest, the smells of the forest – just beautiful. Additional touches like bicycles waiting for you, the outside rainfall (hot) shower, champagne bucket beside the spa bath – together with sumptuous linens and a really comfy bed. So many native birds and scores of kangaroos. We will be back.

This is our second stay at The Lodge and we can’t rate it highly enough. The accommodation is spacious and beautifully presented. Hosts Benson and Deb have thought of everything! The setting is stunning, magnificent trees, kangaroos lazing in the paddocks. We were able to ride the trails on the mountain bikes provided,walk the bush paths and enjoy a wine at the outdoor fire pit. We squeezed in a yoga session with Mandy and still found time to visit some wineries. Ideal spot. We will be back.

Our recent stay at Forest Rise in The Lodge was only 4 nights but gave us the refreshment we needed, while also leaving us wishing for more. We spent much of our time just enjoying The Lodge, its surroundings and antics of the many kangaroos & birds. This time we travelled with another couple whom we wanted to experience what we already knew to be the best stay in WA's southwest. We have stayed in Forest Rise chalets several times now and the quality personal touch has never wavered. Everything is perfectly clean and ready for your stay, including a selection of welcome goodies. On entering you are greeted with gentle music, ambient lighting and a comfortable room temperature. There is firewood ready to use - The Lodge has a gloriously large and perfectly located open fire. The bathrooms are stocked with plenty of quality toiletries etc and there are beach towels for use in the outdoor hot tub and pool. The beds are king sized and luxuriously comfortable. The kitchen is modern and large enough to allow several people to prepare meals together. In fact every aspect of The Lodge is generous in size and quality. You will not be disappointed if you are lucky enough to stay there.

I don't usually write reviews but we had such a fantastic long weekend at Forest Rise that I'm happy to shout about it. It was a surprise birthday celebration for my husband and Emma and her team went above and beyond to help with the surprise. They made a fantastic recommendation for a private yoga instructor who came to our chalet, assisted with getting the balloons and cake delivered prior to check-in so that they were there on arrival and even assisted the uber driver delivering everything. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The chalet itself is wonderful. It was chilly and having an unlimited supply of wood and kindling at the back door was very welcome. The super king bed with luxurious pillows and bedding was extremely comfortable and we had the most fantastic nights sleep. There was a lovely basket of welcome goodies awaiting our arrival and even some useful information about the local birds that we could see on our walks or bike rides around the lodge (bikes were left for us at our chalet at no additional expense), that was available on the TV on arrival. Honestly, every little thing has been considered and thought about right down to eco friendly bubble bath and an ice bucket and champagne glasses next to the spa bath. In a highly competitive market, this is a real jewel in the crown and we cannot wait to go back and make good use of the balcony and bbq when it warms up. Emma and team, keep doing what you are doing!

Excellent second visit to the property, great to see small modernisations like google nest and updated outdoor furniture. The chalets are perfectly equipped and clean with super soft bed linen. The bike/walking/running trails are great especially when the many kangaroos are about. We will be back (again) soon!

For us, two American tourists, spending a few days in the Margaret River region was special already. Staying in a chalet in Forest Rise added quite a bit more to the experience. We loved it! We found the remote location of Forest Rise unique. The trees and the grounds were inviting when we arrived in an autumn afternoon. Our chalet was indeed far from other ones – such quiet and privacy, surrounded by nature. The chalet itself was not rustic at all. We had all the modern comfort and conveniences that you could name. We ordered food hampers from local merchants and were able to have quick preparation for breakfasts and dinners in the well-appointed kitchen. After long days of exploring the many attractions in the area, sipping nice wines by the fireplace after dinner was a treat. The bedroom was warm and comfortable. So was the bathroom. The washer and dryer came in handy also. Walking or biking along the trails within the Forest Rise property was enjoyable. We were fascinated by the kangaroos when we saw them by the road leading to Forest Rise. It was a treat when we had a few of them hanging out on our driveway one morning. Nice to observe them in their natural habitat. All in all, it was a special and refreshing time staying the 3 nights here. We missed it as soon as we travelled back to the cities. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay, serviced chalets, quite and peaceful surrounds. Staff are friendly, very welcoming and go out of their way to help. Well maintained and comfortable chalets seperated from each other by areas of bush land. Enjoyable walking trails, kangaroos, native birds and south west bush. We go every year and this was our 12th visit.
