Auberge la Chouette

The hotel is in the old town, very close to the attractions and within walking distance. Just in time for the Christmas season in Quebec City, the streets and alleys are all dressed up with various Christmas decorations, and the lights are very beautiful at night. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, with two large beds very comfortable. Because there is no elevator in the old house, the residents can only climb the stairs, but fortunately, they can exercise on the third floor. There is a Thai restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, and the business is good. I originally booked a room without breakfast. I upgraded it to include breakfast at the front desk. Thank you very much. The parking fee for two nights was also confiscated before checking out. This trip was really worthwhile.

we needed a one night stay in our travels and I choose this hotel for the price and reviews and it did not disappoint. The outside does not look very inviting however our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is standard for the price. Overall great value for a one night stay.

The guy at the front desk was very welcoming and the check-in process was very smooth. The hotel is in a great location, facing the Fontana Castle, and very close to the Notre Dame Church and the Trinity Church. The room was small but clean, and I was very satisfied with the stay

Old Montreal
Beautiful hotel! I loved our room with casement windows that opened inward. Spacious, and well appointed. Desk, small table and chairs, fridge, robes and slippers. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows and big plush towels. The lobby smelled divine, and when I asked, was told it was the same scent as that of the toiletries in the room. This is the only hotel we have been to in the last 3 years that had full maid service every day, and we don’t stay at inexpensive hotels. Walk to the old port was right across the street. Valet parking is 38$c a day, but worth it to avoid the hassle. We had a riverfront view, and while it wasn’t perfect, one of the quays is a parking garage which spoiled the view a bit, it was still lovely, especially in the evening when you could look out at the La Grande Roue and watch it change color. This place was the best part of our Montreal stay.

Came to Quebec City for Carnaval. Chose this hotel for the location and price and it delivered on both fronts. Right in the middle of Old Quebec, we could see Chateau Frontenac from our window and were across the street from parking and surrounded by restaurants and shops. 5 minutes to the river and 5 minutes to Carnaval site. Very helpful staff and cozy accommodations. Room had bed, TV with Roku, sink, desk, chairs, dresser, closet, and lamp. Soap and 2-in-1 shampoo provided as well as towels and face cloths. Bathroom was close and had everything you need. Check in and out was a breeze. Clean all around. Do not book this accommodation if you struggle with stairs, as there is no way to get into the building otherwise. We stayed on the 4th floor and the stairs were steep and uneven but we didn't mind it and it added to the charm. Ceilings can be low in some places. Only lost one star because of the bathroom, it was difficult to access the toilet without ducking or hitting your head on the sloped ceiling, and the bed was a little uncomfortable.
Comfort Inn South

I reserved a King Bed Drive Up Room (at a traditional style Comfort Inn). This was not the type of room I was given. Upon asking about it, told no more rooms. I went online and they had more listed. Once again the front desk agent refused to do anything. After multiple times of insisting that he call the manager, I was told just make a complaint. After refusing the move from the front desk, the manager was called and the front desk agent was told that I was in the right and was given the wrong room. The room itself was fine, however, was missing tiles by the bath tub and for a hotel having just been renovated there was also multiple holes from where they tried to install the towel rack. Given the customer service that I received from the front desk, I will not be staying at this location again. As a platinum Choice Hotels member, I was shocked by the service that I received. I do not recommend staying here.

I needed a hotel nearish to Terrebonne on short notice that would accommodate me travelling with a dog. The Comfort Inn offered a competitive price and easy access to the highway. I have to admit that I had seen some online reviews that were not positive, so I was expecting a mediocre experience, but I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience. The staff that I encountered were all friendly (to both me and my dog) and helpful, with a particular mention to Sabrina at the front desk. The hotel was clean, as was my room. The internet worked very well. In addition to many guests with dogs (there was a nearby dog show), there was a boys' hockey team staying at the hotel and some kind of other celebration on the Saturday night, but the hotel was quiet. There was breakfast included in my room rate and, while basic, it had eggs (scrambled and hard boiled) and sausages, cereals, a variety of breads and pastries, fruit, yogurt, and cheese. So, it did the job. I have business in this area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Plateau Mont Royal
We stayed here twice over a period of a couple of weeks and found it to be a very good option. Located in an interesting neighbourhood with plenty of dining options nearby. Our rooms were in the nearby satellite building and were 2 levels up. This meant a steep winding climb, but we managed. Our room for each visit were both really great. Tons of room, a functional kitchenette, large bathroom, comfortable modern furniture and a large smart TV. The rooms were both immaculately clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning, especially the fresh smoked salmon. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I guess the fact that we went back to this hotel after our first visit when we had many other options says it all. A really nice place to stay.

We had an impromptu trip into Trois Rivieres to visit our son who was send there for work from Alberta. Did not know what to expect in the room but was pleasantly surprised with it size and comfort and with the sofa included came back to our room to talk. The only down side was the lacking of hot items on the breakfast selection and the taxes on the room (even the tourist tax has provincial taxes on it)
