The guesthouse is located within the scenic area and has a small courtyard that the children loved. The receptionist was very welcoming, and the rooms were clean and tidy. A pleasant surprise was the rooftop terrace outside the room, which had a washing machine and dryer.

As a returning guest, I've stayed at Diaohai many times, from dorms to private double rooms. It's perfect for hosting friends and loved ones alike. The double room, though not large, is super cozy. It has books to read, a bedside lamp, a beanbag chair, and a rug. The bedding is especially comfortable and cute – I really love their patchwork design. On our first day, we also booked a Nanshan Ancient City walk with the owner of Diaohai and a local resident. We discovered so many interesting places and details that only long-term residents would know. I'm growing to love Diaohai and Nanshan Ancient City more and more. Can't wait to stay again!

1) Location is superb. Right smack in the ancient city and 50m from the landmark guangji gate. You can walk everywhere to do your visits and taste street food & other gourmets . You can even get on a trishaw & do a slow sightseeing of the city among the interesting streets outside the non-traffic square 2) hotel is new about 6 months old. Clean and full amenities . The bed is comfortable and good. We are not familiar with the light switches so had trouble switching to dim lights at night 3) there’s a lift and a laundry area downstairs 4) service is perfect . Our room came with breakfast. Breakfast is simple and fresh and wholesome . Well in chaozhou you probably wanna skip to eat the yummy snacks on the street. We had breakfast for 2 days. On the last day we skipped. We slept in till breakfast time was over. We had bought a rice dumpling and a rice snack the day before. We requested for them to heat up. They went beyond our expectations. Not only heat up, but gave us fresh fruits all serve properly on a tray like room service. Thank you 5) we booked a one bedroom suite on level 2. Ceilings are high. Room is airy. Soundproofing is good. Once the windows are closed. There’s minimal noise from street outside. By night 10pm it’s quiet . Morning noises only start around 9am plus from tourists foot traffic 6) Tip- as traffic are not allowed on that street. The nearest point is to get off at the Xia shui men (下水门） gate and enter the gate. From there you walk about 100-150m on flat well-tiled surfaces to the hotel 7) hope the hotel maintains their cleanliness & newness moving forward . Will definitely stay there again when in chaozhou

Every team member was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. The amenities were top-notch, from the relaxing pool area to the delicious on-site dining options that featured fresh, flavorful dishes. What stood out most was the peaceful atmosphere—it’s the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort or luxury. Whether you’re traveling for a romantic getaway or a relaxing escape, this hotel delivers on every level. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect beachfront retreat.

This famous hotel is the best inn I have ever stayed in. Because the traffic jam came late, I didn’t expect the boss to wait for us at the front desk. I also upgraded our room for free. The most surprising thing is that there are moon cakes and sugar water for us. The lobby manager and the boss are very friendly. I gave my baby a lot of food and balloons, the whole feeling is very good, really worth recommending! (Thank you the innkeeper and staff for waiting for us so late ～)

Great stay at Buyan inn. A beautiful room . The staff were very helpful and service was great . The restaurant served great Chinese barbecue and the bar had a great beer selection .

Our company held a team-building event and booked 10 rooms. The rooms were quite spacious, with balconies, a karaoke room, a mahjong room, and a billiards table. There was a lounge area in the lobby. The hotel had a great overall environment and excellent service. The owner even arranged breakfast for us, which was quite good. Highly recommended!

First off, the location is fantastic. The hotel is right next to the ancient city, and as soon as you step out, you're at Chaozhou West Lake. A quick right turn and you're in the old town. Plus, there's a bus stop right there that goes straight to Chaoshan Station and Guantang Town (for delicious beef hotpot, of course!). As for the environment, the room was incredibly spacious and bright, with beautiful views of West Lake Park right outside the window. The hygiene was also top-notch. The proprietress was incredibly warm and accommodating, always ready to help. She even enthusiastically shared recommendations for tourist spots and great places to eat. Overall, a 100-star experience! I highly recommend staying here!

It's worth the price, but there's nowhere to park. The room was quite clean, and the facilities were complete, although the bathroom wasn't very clean and the ventilation wasn't great.

Found a gem! Seriously so comfortable ✨ The mattress was perfectly firm yet soft, I slept soundly till morning, it was so restorative. The room was clean with no strange odors, and the decor was cozy and stylish. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, which made for a very reassuring stay. The location was easy to find and convenient for getting around, and the owner was incredibly nice! The value for money was excellent, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel.
