This is the perfect location for first-timers in Hong Kong! It’s just a 2-minute walk to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR and various bus stops. There are endless food and dessert options nearby, though prices can be a bit higher since it's a tourist hub. You’re only 10 minutes from Victoria Harbour, the Avenue of Stars, and the Star Ferry. Note on Macau: Check ferry schedules carefully, as service from the TST pier to Macau is currently limited or unavailable. I took the bus instead and it was well worth it, the views along the bridge were incredible! The building itself is a bit older and the service is just okay, but given the convenience, I really enjoyed my stay here.

I really enjoyed my stay here! It was especially cool for me to stay in this particular building because it's where the famous movie 'Chungking Express' was filmed. That alone makes the place special and gives it a unique vibe. The room was clean, cozy, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room cool, which was especially important in the hot and humid weather. I also want to give a special shout-out to the host. He was very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. Check-in was quick, and I was even able to check in earlier than the set time.

The location is perfect. After entering the building, you need to take the elevator (on the left) to the reception on the 16th floor, which operates 24/7. They took a 100 HKD deposit. The room is very small. There are both European and American power outlets, a fan, and air conditioning. The room smelled of smoke, and at 170 cm tall, I barely fit in the bed, having to bend my legs while sleeping. The duvet cover smelled like a sour rag, and condensation constantly dripped from the air conditioner unit outside the window, making a very audible 'drip-drip-drip' sound in the room. There were also some small flies constantly in the room.

I was really skeptical about staying at this budget hotel but it surpassed expectations. This was a booking made at the last minute as the other hotels we usually stay at were very very expensive on that particular night. Be prepared for really tiny rooms and a miniscule bathroom. Between the room door and the bed there was no space to lay down and open a standard 24” suitcase. Had to place my suitcase on the bed to be able to open it. If I stretched my arms out at 90 degrees I could touch both walls of the bathroom - it's a tiny square with just enough space to stand in one place and shower with the toilet and sink right in front of your body. The shower head was actually placed right above the toilet which was a first for me but if you are not too fussy it's manageable. You don't get any bath, face or hand towels - it's all one time use disposable stuff made from non-woven fibers - again a first for me in a hotel. But having said that it was still decent value for money. I paid less than half of what I would have paid at one of the hotels I regularly stay at. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. When I returned to collect my bag they just looked up and pointed straight at my bag amongst a pile of suitcases without any luggage ticket. Location is outstanding - in the heart of TST with the MTR station just across the road - very very convenient.

Despite being in the middle of this urban whirlwind, the moment you step inside the residence, the noise of the city completely vanishes. The soundproofing is world-class, which is a rare and precious find in Hong Kong’s high-density environment. ### The Aesthetic and Comfort The interior design is where Hygge Residence truly shines. Unlike the cramped, dated rooms often found in this district, these units are: * **Modern and Minimalist:** Clean lines, light wood accents, and warm lighting. * **Impeccably Clean:** You can tell the management takes hygiene seriously. The linens are crisp, and the bathrooms are spotless. * **Thoughtfully Equipped:** Every square inch is utilized efficiently. From high-speed Wi-Fi that actually stays high-speed to the premium toiletries, no detail has been overlooked. ### The ”Hygge” Factor What sets this place apart is the atmosphere. There is a tangible sense of calm. After a long day of navigating the humid streets or attending business meetings, coming back here feels like a deep exhale. The bed is incredibly comfortable—the kind of mattress that makes it difficult to wake up in the morning. ### Exceptional Service The staff deserves a special mention. The check-in process is seamless, often involving smart-lock technology that makes coming and going a breeze. They are responsive, helpful, and genuinely care about your stay. The front desk and the room are not in the same area, the front desk is in A, and the room is in D. People arrived late, Peter at the front desk was very enthusiastic, and he also upgraded the independent guard and introduced the details of the stay. like

Relatively easy to get to, with easy communication with the Guesthouse owners. The location is great- right in front of the Kowloon mosque which was great for us, indicating availability of halal food nearby. Within walking distance of the mtr, tourist attractions and shops (7e is right below). We took the Cityliner from the airport and got dropped off at the nearest stop which was great! Room was super tight, with small bathroom with a shower head right above the toilet. The toilet doors required some manoeuvring because it could close but was somewhat disconnected from each sliding panel (with evidence of some bugs stuck between the panels, I can understand, in rather hard to reach places).Otherwise, clean enough room and very quiet. Enough space under the beds to store luggage but otherwise, just enough space around the room for a single person to walk about, so we had to take turns and mostly sat on our beds. For very short stays, seems like a good place.

I was so busy I forgot to take photos, so I'll just talk about it. Firstly, the location is excellent. Secondly, the staff's service attitude is wonderful. During the day, there's a young man, and at night, there's a foreign young woman. The young man always greets you with a smile and speaks softly, as if he's afraid you might feel discriminated against. The foreign young woman is a bit introverted. When I saw her in the evening returning to the hotel, she wanted to say hello but didn't speak Chinese, so she just nodded at me from behind the counter. That evening, while I was showering in the hotel, someone knocked on the door. I thought it was the room next door, so I leisurely continued showering for over 10 minutes. Afterwards, when I finished showering, I realized the knocking hadn't stopped. I said 'wait,' and the knocking immediately stopped. I put on my clothes and opened the door. The young woman then nodded and asked, 'Are you speak English?' I actually know a little, but instinctively I said 'no' 😂. She then said 'wait' and handed me her phone. I thought she wanted me to look at a translation, but it was actually a call, most likely from the boss, who apologized and explained that there was a problem with the room today. Honestly, I had noticed it but wasn't too bothered, but their meticulous attitude was really impressive. After the call, the young woman nodded, said 'tks,' and left. She had waited at my door for over ten minutes just to explain this. The boss is very diligent, and the entire hotel definitely follows their excellent example, not cutting corners with customers. Another day, the young man was looking after the hotel. As soon as he saw me, he immediately apologized for yesterday's issue and even gave me a small gift as compensation. This shows that the staff remember their guests, and I didn't feel even a little bit mistreated during my entire stay. So, if you're shy, go for it! The old man who watches over the downstairs area is also very nice. If he sees you're from out of town, he'll keep an eye on you – not because he's worried you'll do something wrong, but because he's afraid you might need directions, and he's watching so you can ask him (this is my own imagination 😂). Because when I asked him, he even helped me press the elevator button and told me where to go. The hotel might be a bit hard to find for mainland Chinese. Make sure you look for the entrance between 53 and 55, then go in, otherwise you might go to the wrong place – don't ask me how I know. Thumbs up to all the staff, and thumbs up to the boss's hospitality. I hope the hotel keeps up the good work. I'll definitely come back to Hong Kong, but it's been raining a lot recently, so I only stayed for one day. If you don't like small rooms or expensive prices, don't stay here. If you're afraid of being mistreated or dealing with hassle, then stay here without hesitation. One last thing, if you have an issue, email them, the phone might not connect, and don't ask me how I know that either. They respond to emails very quickly! Also, boss, give that young man and young woman a raise, and if you really do, tell me, and I'll come back to stay again! 🤪

The place is super convenient, the entry of subway station is nearby. The spot is hidden inside a condo, it’s a unit in the condo, not a whole building itself. There is no front desk, when you reach there u just scan the qrcode pasted on the door, and contact the owner via Wechat, he will tell you the password of the smart locker of the door. And you just pick wherever an empty bed spot. Everything is prepared inside the house, you just need to look it up yourself, especially when you check in at night where the light is switched off already. The bed and the temperature inside the room is comfortable. And I love the notes left by owner, full of HongKong spirit.

The location of the hotel is undoubtedly one of its best features. It's very accessible, with a bus stop right in front of the property and an MTR station just a few steps away. This strategic spot also placed us conveniently close to popular attractions like the Avenue of Stars and a variety of famous dining spots behind the hotel, such as Cheung Hing Kee and Bakehouse. As for the rooms, while they were kept impeccably clean with daily fresh towels and duvets, they were quite small. The bathrooms, in particular, are so compact that it’s impossible to stretch your arms fully inside. Despite the size, the hotel does an excellent job of maintaining cleanliness, with tidy hallways adding to the overall positive impression. Overall, this hotel is a good choice if you prioritize accessibility and cleanliness. However, if you need more spacious accommodations, you might want to consider other options.
