The Factor's Inn & Factor's Cottage
3.8/531 Reviews
We stayed at the Factors Cottage last night and had a lovely stay! When reading the reviews, I was put off slightly and regretted booking it almost to the point of cancelling but the room has been great. Check in at the castle was good, the lady on reception was very helpful and friendly. Our room was large, clean, comfortable bed (maybe 2 singles pushed together, but no less comfy), big bathroom, stocked with all the usual teas, coffees, shampoos etc. We liked that this was away from the main hotel as you can come and go without the awkward 'hi bye' constantly. Parking was right next to our room and the accommodation was dog friendly. There's also a communal area for making food etc, but we were unable to use it for to covid. However there is a utility room with a washing machine, which was a life saver for us! It's a shame there's no breakfast included for £110, but we knew that when we booked it. A lot of the reviews described this as the castles poorer cousin, which of course it is, if you want rooms/service like the castle pay another £200. My only criticism is that the toilet flush is very weak.
Sutherland Inn

Nice location, very good food, nice staff. The bed creaking heavily at the slightest movement prevented a good night's sleep. The duration of breakfast 1.5 hours is very little. After a bad night, we didn't even have time for breakfast.
Loch Ness Inn
4.4/586 Reviews
We spent 2 weeks in Scotland and London and the family agreed The Loch Ness Inn was our favorite hotel and our favorite breakfast. Nice rooms, fantastic food. It's about 10 minute walk a grocery and 20 minutes to 'town'. The Urquhart Castle Ruins is a pleasant walk (just under 2 miles) over a small hill and there's a beautiful park to walk through as well.

The location of this hotel is too great. I didn’t find it when I drove to the last 0.8 mile. I felt that I was on the wrong road and surrounded by the Scottish wilderness. Then suddenly a row of wooden houses appeared, with lights, cafe logos, and the house was warm. It felt very good, it was Xiaogui. The bar bar checked in, and I didn't look at any procedures.
