Pete's Inn

Had a comfortable stay here for one night. The room was clean and surprisingly spacious for 2 people. There's television inside the room, sink is separated from the bathroom and bath towels were provided. Pete's Inn is walking distance from the city's cathedral, museum, stores, city hall, etc. Very affordable and tricycle drivers know the place. The only downside here was they have no generator.

Really knows how a supposed island bar looks like and leans all the way into it. We were first attracted to this place because of the laidback atmosphere, with a thatched looking low hanging roof and a ridiculously huge size bearing a name that makes no sense (please if anyone can tell me what this means, I will be glad!). From the first night, this place was packed with people enjoying a live band and free flowing drinks. We went here on their quietest night, since it was Good Friday and big celebrations and loud noises were prohibited on the island in respect of the day. They had high chairs for 4-5 people and tables seating 5 or more. If you only had 2-3, you can opt to sit by the bar to be closer to the source of the juice. What’s neat about this place is if you love seafood. You can select the piece outside, they weigh it and cook it in the kitchen! For the fresh seafood aficionados out there, you can try this place to see if it matches your standards. You can also ask them to cook it a certain way - buttered, steamed, whatever else. We had buttered lobster (goodbye, immortal snip snip of the ocean, you were delicious), fresh shrimp tempura, baked scallops. The food was well made but it didn’t hit the ✨spot✨, you know? Like I am sated but not fulfilled. It wasn’t bad food by any use of the term; it was great and the service was fast enough despite the sheer number of people who were in the area. I just expected something different. Perhaps if we ordered the staples rather than had them cook it, I may have a different opinion. They do have a lot of things on the menu. All of which were outlined in the most 2000s word art and atrocious layout possible that I can’t quite decide whether it’s quaint or lazy. It’s giving “I Love Graphic Design” but I’m taking it as a fun little idiosyncrasy of the menu. The service was a hit or miss. They were attentive when getting you seated and taking your order and it’s 50/50 afterwards. Will they come and give you more water? Only if you somehow get lucky enough to make eye contact with any of the roving waiters. If you ever go here, let me know if it’s better than how I painted it out for you!

Cheap rate for a family of 5. Place is in good location in the middle of beach and the downtown. Staff are approachable. Room is nice, suggestion to have another water dispenser in every floor, WIFI connection medyo mahina and sana you have space for sampayan ng mga basa damit and also to have a direct contact number on the front desk. Recommended for a budgetary room accommodation. Thank you

It was a day when our internet was not working well , we had to go somewhere to have our classes for the night , East Square Inn is one of our option because it is just 30 minutes away from our location . As we inquire how much the room was --it is only 500 pesos for one night and it is actually cheaper than other places which we also checked online .... the room is clean , the area is so cool and relaxing . The lobby has wifi . the room has strong wifi , the reception gives password for all the wifi from lobby to 2nd floor (very useful) water is available in the lobby and receptionist is available all the time . Thank you . Surely checking in here is not a hassle . We didnt regret choosing your Inn for our travel and it helped us a lot .

The epitome of you get what you pay for, but budget should not mean low quality, rooms are far from the pics they show, it was very small for family room standards, cobwebs, dirt on the edges & corners of the room, this shows very very poor housekeeping, should have backed out upon seeing the entrance, uncut grass, dirty facade, upon entering, you are greeted with a musty smell, also, bathrooms is as unappealing as the room, there was also the sound of something gnawing on wood, but to be fair,AC was good, WIFI fast & stable, location is very good, but sadly that's it, to the owners of this hotel, please improve, your location and pricing is hard to beat, cancelled my 2nd day coz I was concerned of my family's health, the 200 peso cancellation fee was well worth it

It's certainly an older hotel and it looks in need of tender loving care. However, it was a good price and the staff were nice. The aircon worked. The water was warm though the shower hose was broken.

Good day! Rest with my wife in March 2020. I will tell you at once for the luxury and brilliance of five-star hotels, it is not here. A small hotel on 10-12 rooms. The main dignity of it is that it is not on the seaside, it has left the room and 10 metres across the sea. The room recommends taking an improved 4th floor, there is its balcony with sea view and the floor below the pool. The staff is very welcome and willing to help in any matter. Breakfast is ordered every morning and can bring it to the room. The choice is not big. 3 options of European, which includes juice, coffee, toasts, fruit and eyelashes with sausage or bean or ham. Philippine instead of eyeliner rice. I will say honestly if someone likes a good breakfast, it is not enough, but my wife and I were enough. The room has beds on the beach and issues beach towels. In our view, the plus of the hotel is to find it at the third station, that is, very few people in the evening. If you want to move, 10 minutes walk to the right and a lot of cafes and restaurants. From the nuances : it is necessary to be prepared that you will not be taken directly to the hotel and from the place where the road ends it takes 7 minutes to go with the sand bags. Also the feature is that if you want to remove the room, it is necessary to tell you. Of the downsides in the room, it is little room for garment storage and not very successful location of the air conditioner that blows right on the bed. Nearly three minutes walk a shop where you can buy beer. Cafe is a lot of any taste. The dish is on average 350-400 pesso, meat from 600 pesso, soups are cheaper. There are a number of restaurants where you pay 750-800 pesso and eat and drink (wine, beer) without restrictions. Of course there is cheaper place, all on any opportunity. Food is very delicious, everyone will find himself in the shower. On the market you can buy seafood and ask to prepare them in the restaurant. Nearby there are many diving centers, who is interested. The cost of diving 2000 pesso (45 minutes, depth 18 meters, who has a certificate) . The course is 1$- 49-50 pesso. To summarize, I will say that a beautiful place for a quiet rest with a snowy beach, clean water and very friendly local population. Here you want to return. P.s bank cards are not everywhere accepted.

Stayed here for 3 days and our stay was very comfortable as 8 Colors is located near everything...restaurants and beach. Our room was the cleanest I've ever seen...literally. I've noticed that they didn't just sweep the floor, they probably mopped it which most of the hotels we've stayed at that were even more expensive don't do. The bathroom was super clean as well, as every corner or grout between tiles were free of grime or dirt. I really appreciate their efforts in making sure our room was extra clean as we're really very particular about cleanliness. They were kind enough to lend us an extra folding table as I needed it for work. The room had everything we needed. It wasn't huge but enough to feel comfortable. I guess the downside is that the road going to 8 Colors is too narrow and can't be passed by van so we had to walk going there when we arrived and when we left. The breakfast option at Bamboo wasn't really satisfying. Although their servings were sufficient, the food was too oily and options were limited. On our last day, however, I liked how considerate they were in serving food from McDonald's as we had to leave early. Overall, 8 Colors was worth it and great!
