I stayed at the Chomulangzong in Shigatse again after a few years, and the feeling I had was still good. First of all, its location is very convenient. This is by a long way the best hotel I have stayed in , in Tibet. Love the ”Manor” feel, at the same time homely. The rose garden which decorates Lakari cafe ia a lovely place to eat, relax, wind down. Food & service excellent. There are in addition two other restaurant on site, serving authentic Chinese & Tibetian food, yum. DURING a qord in the garden, I notice birds churping and hunting worms on the lawn ! Rooms takes on a modern Tibetian style, everything works & impeccably clean. Staff are v warm, helpful, even helped w my washing, offered to show me around on her day off. A most enjoyable stay. Tops all otherss I have stayed in Tibet.
