"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Potala Palace. It's also just a few hundred meters, a walkable distance, from Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The biggest highlight is the view; breakfast is served on the fifth-floor restaurant, offering an expansive and perfect view of the Potala Palace from afar. The night view, in particular, is stunning. Our room was a 180-degree unobstructed view room. While a bit more expensive, the unparalleled scenery makes it the best choice for viewing the Potala Palace from a distance. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety, including local specialties like tsampa, and delicious butter tea and sweet tea. The room facilities were quite comprehensive, including a dedicated nasal oxygen concentrator. The room also provided complimentary Coca-Cola and glacial bottled water, with refills available, and a fresh fruit platter daily. We even received a small souvenir upon check-in. Overall, I'm very satisfied."

"This was my first time choosing The St. Regis Lhasa Resort. Coincidentally, I had just stayed at the Shangri-La in Lhasa two days prior. The rooms at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort are significantly larger, and the quality of the slippers is much better. The entrance area is a walk-in closet, with a spacious bedroom to the left and a large bathroom to the right. They provide a Dyson hairdryer and even facial cleanser! Thumbs up! They have an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier, which are essential for the ******* region. Even though it wasn't a Potala Palace view room, the view was still excellent. The front desk staff, Anna, provided wonderful and thoughtful service. Knowing we ran out of water on the first day, she helped us restock with several extra bottles on the second day. Breakfast is semi-buffet. The à la carte items were all a bit salty. The buffet selection wasn't very extensive. Overall, the breakfast experience was just average. Some of the service staff are Nepalese, so you'll need to speak English with them, which is something to keep in mind."

"On my一路318 self-drive trip, I stayed at all Songtsam's Tibet properties, and the scenery at Basongcuo is indeed stunning. You can see snow-capped mountains from the room, and the hotel's hardware configuration is top-notch within the Linka series. The butler service was also excellent. However, the staff at the scenic area entrance were truly awful. At Nanga Bawa Mountain Retreat and Lhagu, you just need to register to enter the scenic area. But at Basongcuo, even as a guest, you still need a ticket. That's fine, but first, they made us park aside to buy tickets and register. Then, as soon as we finished, a car with local plates immediately blocked the entrance, preventing us from entering. When we tried to communicate and ask what was going on, the security staff actually started yelling at us. For a national five-star scenic area, this is completely unacceptable. I suggest the hotel follow the example of the other two Songtsam properties and incorporate the ticket fee into the room rate for direct entry, to avoid such situations, or have a hotel staff member at the scenic area entrance to welcome and guide guests."

The hotel called in the morning to confirm our itinerary, added us on WeChat to answer questions, helped us arrange transportation to the scenic area upon check-in, and we found fruit in our room with the floor heating already on and oxygen turned on. When they learned we'd be heading to Gawula Pass for sunrise and would miss breakfast, they proactively refunded the breakfast fee and even prepared two packed meals for us. The service throughout our stay was outstanding. I highly recommend experiencing it for yourselves!"

"I checked into the Dekang Hotel on the 24th, and it's a typical Tibetan-style hotel. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was impressed by the exquisite decor and furnishings. The room was spacious, bright, well-equipped, and very clean. The owner was very kind and thoughtful. The front desk and staff were all very welcoming, making me feel right at home, so I extended my stay by two more days. The hotel's price is excellent compared to others in the area! The breakfast was rich and varied, with dishes, meat, eggs, and fruit, plus butter tea, tsampa, and yogurt – the milk was especially delicious! There's also an Indian restaurant on the fifth floor of the hotel, and plenty of other dining options nearby. You can find the famous Lhasa internet-famous Cuomu Liangfen (cold noodles), Lao Chengdu's Sichuan restaurant, and some great ******* restaurants. So many delicious choices, I couldn't try them all! Getting around from the hotel is super convenient. It's a short walk to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street, and just a few stops by bus to the East Gate of Potala Palace Square, costing only 1 yuan. This truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem for tourists visiting Lhasa."

The location is excellent, very convenient for visiting the Jokhang Temple, and there are plenty of dining options/supermarkets nearby. 3. A special thank you goes to Manager Shiyi, a benchmark for service in the hotel industry! She called beforehand to confirm (though I missed the call), and upon arrival, upgraded our family of three to a family suite (two bedrooms and a living room, ridiculously spacious). She also recommended Xiao Pangzi Sichuan restaurant to us (which was delicious!). After checking in, any questions we had were answered very promptly, and she even allowed us to check out late at 3:30 PM, so my parents could rest well before their 4 PM high-speed train. We are truly grateful! I've never been so well taken care of as a Titanium Elite member at any Marriott property! 4. The hotel robots proactively deliver takeout to the room, a blessing for lazy people. 5. The breakfast was unexpectedly good, comparable to the St. Regis Lhasa."

My stay completely exceeded my expectations; from the moment I arrived until I left, I truly experienced five-star quality. Service: The staff team was professional and incredibly warm. From the efficient check-in with Rinchen at the front desk, to the detailed guidance from the concierge, and the swift response of housekeeping, everything was impressive! Cleanliness: The room was spotless, the bedding was crisp and white, the bathroom gleamed like new, and not a speck of dirt could be found even in the corners. The防疫 measures were also very thorough. Ambiance: The hotel design was elegant and grand, the lobby was artistic, and the corridors were quiet and cozy. Facilities: The in-room smart control system, high-end bathroom fixtures, and mini-bar setup all demonstrated the hotel's meticulous attention to detail. Highly recommended! [grin]

First of all, I really want to praise the owner. He was incredibly dedicated and responsible, and we were deeply moved. We stayed for three days, and on the last day we were going to do the pilgrimage around Mount Kailash. We overestimated ourselves, thinking we could finish the pilgrimage in one day. However, we didn't reach Zhire Monastery until 6:00 PM. Then, at noon, we contacted the owner to say we couldn't come down that day and asked if he could pack our things, cancel our reservation, and let us stay there after we finished the pilgrimage. I was amazed by the owner's generosity. He said it was no problem, it's the off-season, and he understood we couldn't finish the pilgrimage in one day, so he reserved the room for us. I was truly touched. However, due to our physical condition, we eventually had to call a rescue vehicle to come down; there was no way to rest on the mountain. This hotel is very clean and hygienic. The bathrooms have separate shower and toilet areas, which was very satisfying for us, as we are from the south. Oxygen cylinders are also available for rent in the hotel lobby. The parking lot is also very convenient. Our travel companions stayed at other hotels, but we ended up staying here because the cleanliness was excellent, the toiletries were comprehensive, the hairdryer was very good, and there was underfloor heating and an oxygen machine. I still wouldn't recommend staying in those teahouse-style accommodations.

This homestay really exceeded expectations, the decoration style is elegant and beautiful, the facilities are complete, and the bedding is soft and sleeps particularly peaceful. The surrounding environment is quiet and comfortable, and it is particularly healing from the hustle and bustle. The landlord is kind and easy-going, and the answer is very intimate. The living experience is full. It is really worth everyone to stay!

This hotel has a strong ******* style, and the owner was really great, taking good care of us visitors from inland China. They helped us with our luggage and arranged for us to stay on the third floor, which definitely made the altitude sickness worse when climbing the stairs! We visited in August, and the blankets were super thick, so I didn't get a good night's sleep either night. Also, I personally think this type of Tibetan-style hotel is nice for a two-day experience, but not suitable for a long-term stay!

I really loved the hotel's courtyard; its architecture has a very exotic feel. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon, leisurely sipping a pot of sweet tea, was incredibly relaxing. It's a rare oasis of peace and quiet amidst the bustling streets, perfect for unwinding. The rooftop cafe offers views of the Potala Palace, and guests can go up for free to visit and take photos. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Barkhor Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to Liukai Fruit Store after a taxi ride. It was very convenient to explore Barkhor Street on foot every day. The ******* noodles for breakfast were delicious, and there was plenty of fruit. Afternoon tea also included a complimentary pot of sweet tea. The room came with a nasal oxygen concentrator, which was a thoughtful touch. My only minor complaint, personally, was that the room felt a bit small and the soundproofing wasn't great. Because of this, I didn't spend much time in the room other than sleeping, preferring to relax in the courtyard. Finally, a big thank you to Ms. Zhaxi Lam for her thoughtful and heartwarming service.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights when I first arrived in Lhasa and really liked it. After a few days of touring outside the city, I returned to Lhasa and chose to stay here again. The hotel's breakfast offers great value for money – it's not expensive but has a good variety of options. Other positives have already been mentioned in previous reviews, so I won't repeat them.
