Room was lovely and no complaints. However, breakfast was an absolute shambles. Waiters/waitresses trying to seat people at table where clearly people had their phones/drinks on. We went at 9am and considering breakfast shuts at 10:30 you’d expect there to be good options… wrong, when we went up, they had no beans bacon, a few sausages and barely any scrambled eggs left, no sliced bread by the toaster.
I never thought I'd get a room for special care needs. There is no bathtub with an open area. Never select if it's unnecessary. No sleepers, no toothbrush, no
Exceelent newish hotel near Utilita Bowl Cricket ground. Breakfas busy but very good as included in room prices. Rooms suitable for shorter stays and pre cruise stays from Southampton only a little further out. TV lounge/bar area was excellent to watch England play in the Euros. Large car park and walkable to nearby stores and restaurants.
The hotel is not far from Heathrow Airport, and it takes more than 40 minutes to drive back to West London on weekends. Convenient transportation. And you can also park for free, the overall feeling is better, you can order again.
The manager and staff were very kind and considerate. The room was amazing with all the facilities you need for your lovely break away. Thanks kindest regards Al.
Stay here a few weeks and had a much better experience. Checkin told we are full and you have to take a twin bed. Then asked to pay, however I had already prepaid. The room had a window which was an internal view. Bath struggled to stay filled as issue with plug. The light above the bath flashed on and off for a while then stayed off. The attiutide from reception was poor, we are full , nothing we can do!
Breakfast is more abundant, the most rare thing is that there is hot milk, which is great for the Chinese.

GGuest UserWell, the service at the hotel was excellent too. The hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful, they were always willing to answer my questions and provide useful advice. Also, the breakfast provided by the hotel was very delicious, varied and had different choices every day. The service at the restaurant is also very good, and the staff is always very thoughtful and welcoming.
The only downside is that the hotel is slightly more expensive, but I think the price is still very reasonable given the location and quality of service of the hotel. In short, I really like this hotel and I would definitely choose to stay again if I travel to this city again.
GGuest UserCame here for our first wedding anniversary as got married here the year before. Beautiful setting. Food was lovely. Service also was spot on. My only concern would be some of the grounds could do with tidying up as looks a bit tired and neglected
GGuest UserNice hotel, warm winter and cool summer, no air conditioning (no air conditioning), the temperature difference between morning and evening is very big, pay attention to the increase of clothes, the town is very warm, it is too expensive to go to London train
JjS-I never thought I'd get a room for special care needs. There is no bathtub with an open area. Never select if it's unnecessary. No sleepers, no toothbrush, no
SSimonoonIt's cheap and cheerful but the concept is getting a bit tired. The bathroom's fixtures and fittings and I'll need to be updated soon. The beds are a strange concept not enough plugs in the rooms . Come on z that's a simple obvious thing . Nice staff. The kettle needed a deposit . Yes it did .
GGuest User3 identical rooms booked but only had complimentary items in fridge & robes
Lack of towels
Duty manager Michael was amazing when we struggled to order from limited bar menu
Slow food service & errors with our order
No martini glass available for espresso martini
Lovely rooms, great surroundings
GGuest UserLet me tell you the truth, in terms of guest house standards, the elevator can only take one person at a time. The waiter suggested that I use the elevator. I went in, but there was an iron fence about to be closed. I was scared to death and ran out quickly.
GGuest UserHotel was huge, couple of things that really disturb me:
1. Toilet were old and it stinks of damp
2. There were no window to open for fresh air evening time it really gets hot the room needs fresh air to circulate, I had to open the doors to get fresh airs.
3. The most disturbing thing that occurred when there were cleaners and other stuff came in the room without knocking the door there were no display to put outside when the room was occupied I stayed there for 2 nights the stuff just gets in with their master keys. Very unprofessional.
4. There were no bottles of water at the table normally when I enter most hotels there was water but this one there were nothing.
5. Make sure you bring along your charger for your mobile, normally hotels have USB this days.
Other then that receptionist was friendly to give her charger.
