Our stay was excellent, definitely a paradise for families with kids. Upon check-in, Joey gave us a tour of the hotel facilities and even spoke Cantonese, which was a thoughtful touch. The overall service at the hotel was fantastic. We chose a family room for two nights, then moved to an overwater villa for another two. The beach villa had ample space, with a separate area upstairs featuring a double bunk bed and a play area. It also had a private pool with direct access to the beach, which was very convenient. The hotel butler service was top-notch; whenever our kids tracked sand inside, someone would promptly come to clean it. The transition to the overwater villa was seamless. They arranged the change of rooms efficiently, so as soon as our luggage was packed, someone was there to assist, which was very considerate and saved us time. We opted for the all-inclusive meal plan, and all the restaurants were delicious, with many options to choose from. I highly recommend getting the meal package, otherwise, à la carte prices can be quite steep. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and ordering drinks as much as we liked; it’s an even better deal if you drink alcohol, as it's unlimited. The entire hotel ambiance was wonderful, and we had a very enjoyable experience throughout our stay. Kids under 11 get free children's meals. Tip: When booking on Trip.com, choose the package with airport transfer for the first two days. You don't need to select it for the latter two days; they will help arrange it for your departure day.

A. Family trip, two villas. One sunset deluxe beach pool villa, and one sunset beach pool villa. 1. The deluxe villa is very luxurious and new, with air conditioning in the bathroom, but it's far from the restaurant and relatively further from the beach compared to non-deluxe rooms. 2. The regular villa is next to the restaurant, very close to the main pool and the lobby. However, it's older than the deluxe villa and its bathroom doesn't have air conditioning. B. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 20-minute speedboat ride from Malé airport. C. We bought the full board package. The restaurant specializes in Indian cuisine, which we really enjoyed. Juices and beverages are only available at breakfast. For lunch and dinner, you can only order à la carte; soft drinks are $5, juices are $10, plus an additional 27% service charge and tax. Haha... D. The excursions are too expensive, it really hurt my wallet (see picture). It's better to book them on a local island. E. You can snorkel near the overwater bungalows and the jetty, but there aren't many marine creatures, and the water quality is just average. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money. Next time, I definitely need to visit a local island, it's so much more economical... PS. It's best to download WhatsApp in advance. Our butler didn't really use WeChat and was often unreachable...

Read this before you book 👇 Mid-September stay, two adults and two young kids, Beach Villa with kids' room (4 nights). A very good experience overall, but families should know a few things. 🚤 Arrival We landed at 5:30 PM and waited until 7:15 PM, since the speedboat runs roughly every two hours. Tough with kids after a long flight. The ride itself is only 10 minutes. The jetty welcome felt flat with no drums, but check-in was quick and we got a tour from a staff member who spoke our language, a great touch. 🏡 The Villa Clean, brand new and very private. The minibar is weak: soft drinks, two low-quality juices, spicy nuts and a small Pringles, so bring snacks. The kids' room is tiny, more of a dressing room; the cots were in the living area. 🍽️ Restaurants 🥇 Cocoon — 10/10 The best by far. The lamb ribs and wagyu mini tacos are outstanding, and you get four courses instead of three. 🍕 MIDI — 8/10 Our daily lunch spot. Great pizza and pasta, but the burger is a 5/10. 🍳 Baraveli (breakfast) — Good Solid buffet, though we were tired of it after three days. 🍜 SOI (Thai) — 6/10 Decent. 🍣 Bō (signature Asian) — 4/10 The biggest letdown. The duck and mixed meat dishes were below par; only the sushi starter stood out at 7.5/10. Staff at every restaurant were cheerful and great with kids. ⚠️ For families: one kids' menu for lunch and dinner across all restaurants, with only 4–5 dishes, and you can't order from the adult menu for your child, unless you pay. 🧸 Kids Club — Weak Small with limited toys. The outdoor area is unusable in the heat, and the slide burned my child. The man and young woman on staff were excellent, but the older woman was harsh; I saw her shouting at a little girl whose parents weren't there. 💆 Spa — 6/10 Spotless, but the massage is average if you've been to Bali or Thailand. 🛺 Buggies: fast and polite drivers. 🚨 Late Check-out — Most Important I asked for one extra hour and was refused: a flat $300 for one to six hours, no flexibility, poor attitude. At 11:58 they knocked for our bags, and housekeeping came in ten minutes later, despite the resort being quiet in low season. Also note: the last scheduled boat leaves at 2:30 PM, after which a private boat costs around $450. With an evening flight, you'd pay both. The departure lounge fits about 8 people; everyone else waits in a lobby without AC. ⭐ Overall: 7/10 for the price A new, beautiful resort with some excellent restaurants, but I wouldn't return with kids.

This is a perfect place for a good holiday! The hotel is really clean and brand-new. The rooms are very cosy, cleaned every day, the view from the balcony is really nice. Talking about the food, it can seem simple, but actually it’s very tasty and nutritious, you never feel hungry. The desserts are also really nice. The working team is very friendly, they always try to do their best. We also went fishing from the hotel, guys were really helpful, everything was amazing. If you’re not sure about this place because of some reviews, I should tell you, that if a person wants to find something bad, he definitely will. Island is small, yes, but that’s good, not so many people are there, the beach and water is clean, you still have some shops with everything you need. We have never smelt any smell from the trash burning mentioned in the reviews. We would definitely recommend this place, it has been one of our best experiences with sea holidays so far. What can be improved for the hotel: if you have an opportunity, add more sun beds to the beach with the umbrellas. It’s not that bad, but probably not always enough for all your tourists. All the rest was just amazing! We would like to come back!

Very nice and comfortable accommodation. Went with a friend of mine back in October 2023, and we were greeted by a warm friendly receptionist and a clean lobby. Our room was on the second floor, with very comfortable beds, toilets, and necessary amenities. Except that the sink's tap water smelled a little funny which we avoided using. However the reception was quick to send over whatever we requested, like water, clean towels etc. Would definitely book again if i ever visit Himmafushi again next time!

Actually I never write BAD REVIEWS , just because one people “That Woman on Receptionist” Start from Arriving (check in ) I paid for speed boat & tax fee she looked me from up with empty eye glaring of coz with no smile like usually hotelier specially in reception. Go to room , my room have AC dripping ( floor wet ) my porter quickly call engineer ( thank you both of you so nice and quick job to handle ) but AC still dripped for 2 nite I stay ( but I don’t complain so ignored and put towel under AC ) And just realized my Room Key Card only has one , put side door for automatic lights your room so when you go out you need take out and all room is turn off. So on dinner time I go to reception and ask for spare key so when I back I have AC. That woman staff said “ NO WE ONLY HAVE ONE FOR GUEST, YOU CAN ASK US AND OPEN DOOR FOR YOU WHEN YOU EVERYTIME YOU BACK TO ROOM “ With Jaw open seriously? She strictly say YES ( and of coz without smile only glare ) So after dinner am ask her for call other staff open my room , need wait outside room 10mnt when Male Staff come I say to him “ did you have other options for open door without call you everytime I go outside?” Thank you for Him , he take seperate card for my door so I have key when I go outside. Last for CHECK OUT : my flight on 8:30pm so I booked my speedboats on ARENA , they said I boarding on 5pm and later she change on 4pm. I’m asking again can’t I have late check out for 1hr so I don’t need outside to much long because so hot. Straight say NO , because guest arrive on 1pm no options only say you can put luggage at reception. Woww .. no I don’t argue just said really ? That’s why I cancelled my speedboats back airport ticket ( not yet paid ) I said I don’t need speedboad , and I go to KAANI PALM HOTEL , they offer me Lounge for $10 ( you can shower to ) so can relax inside with AC and I booked speedboat with KAANI PALM HOTEL. We were lucky enough to spot them during breakfast, which was a magical way to start the day. Stargazing: During serene night, either near the beach or while you slowly brisk walking back to your room, it’s surely the perfect place to just enjoy the Maldivian night sky with the beautiful shining stars smiling at you. We had stayed at Bandos Maldives before, so coming back felt a little like returning to a familiar place. Overall, we had another very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend the resort. One of the biggest advantages of Bandos is its location. It takes only about 15 minutes by speedboat from Malé Airport, which is incredibly convenient, especially after a long flight. The downside is that you do sacrifice some of the feeling of isolation. Malé is clearly visible from the island and has grown considerably since our last visit, and you can also see other islands around Bandos. So if you are looking for the feeling of being completely alone in the middle of the ocean, this may not be the best choice. For us, however, the All Inclusive package made the whole stay exactly the kind of holiday we needed. We genuinely didn’t have to think about anything. We didn’t have to plan activities, worry about where to eat or constantly think about what to do next. It was a real mental reset — slow, peaceful and completely relaxing. The package also included a good selection of activities and drinks at the bar. The food was definitely one of the highlights. The restaurant has changed since our previous visit, and we were very impressed with the quality and variety of the food. Everything was fresh, well prepared and genuinely delicious. The house reef is another great advantage of Bandos. There is plenty to see, including colourful fish, turtles and sharks. However, the best snorkeling is concentrated on one side of the island. Other areas have more damaged coral, and some parts are quite shallow, so swimming is not always possible. During our stay in June, the wind was also very strong, creating large waves around the breakwaters, which made snorkeling difficult even for a confident swimmer. We stayed in a Garden Villa. Everything was clean and housekeeping was good, but the villa, especially the bathroom, is starting to feel a little tired and could definitely benefit from renovation. The staff were friendly, attentive and always willing to help. Overall, Bandos remains a lovely island with great food, a beautiful reef and a relaxed atmosphere. We were happy to return, and for anyone looking for an easy, comfortable and genuinely relaxing Maldivian getaway, especially with All Inclusive, Bandos is a great option.

One of the best decisions I made during my trip to the Maldives was staying at Oblu Select Sangeli. I had an incredible and unforgettable experience there. I booked the water villa with private pool and it was stunning, offering the perfect balance between luxury and privacy. The private pool was the ideal spot to enjoy the sunsets and turquoise waters. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed during my stay. If you are looking for a luxurious experience in the Maldives, I highly recommend the Water villa with private pool at Oblu Select Sangeli. It truly was a dreamy destination, and I can’t wait to go back!
