The double room was ok. The dorm room not so. Double rooms were sold out so we had to book the dorm. There isnt much ventilation in the dorm room, and its set to 25 deg heater, really very warm. Even 26/27 deg air conditioning wouldve still been better. Quite uncomfortable with the heater.
The hotel is literally 100m from Saga JR station. We make it as a midway stop to Huis The Bosch. This little city has the best beef and a fantastic onsen to offer.
Onsen is 20mins away by foot. On the way, there is one big Japanese drugstore to fill your suitcase!
The hotel is in a great location, right next to Saga Station, with convenient transportation, and it's very convenient to take the airport bus and JR. The room I was given on the third floor had an air conditioner from the opposite building outside the window, which was a bit noisy, and there was no sunlight, but I was only staying for one night because I had a transfer, so I could handle it. The windows of the even-numbered rooms on the lower floors may all be like this, so friends who are going to stay there can avoid the even-numbered rooms on the lower floors. The hotel also offers rice, bread, curry, salad, cooked vegetables, and natto for breakfast, which is enough to fill you up.
If you are just staying in Saga for one night, you can still consider it. I really don't recommend other hotels because the bed is very small and the bathroom is really average. You don't even want to take a shower. Of course, if you have the courage, you can try the hot spring bath on the ground floor. You can get toiletries in the lobby and there is also free Costa coffee. So you can't ask for too much for this price. It is a certain distance from the airport on foot, but it is within an acceptable range. Across the main road outside the hotel (next to the airport bus station) there is a supermarket that is larger than 711 and opens until 12 o'clock in the evening, which is convenient for guests who want to buy things when they return late, but it is not duty-free.
Pretty standard business hotel style lodging. Free parking, but the main parking lot fills up quickly, so had to park around the corner and slog it back to the hotel in near pitch black darkness. Front desk speaks English!
The onsen is amazing. Extremely convenient location which just 30 second away from railway station. There is bike free for use as well. Some of the staffs can speak English and they are all very helpful and nice. You can enjoy Japanese style breakfast as well. Highly recommended !!!
Located very close to Yamamoto Station. It is a container house.
There are 7 people in quarantine, and each person will be given a free Ding Ding rice meal when checking in.
The room has a microwave. Although the room is small, it is very practical. It is very ok to stay for one night.
The hotel is located very close to the Tosu outlet, but please note that the outlet closes at 8pm, and the restaurants inside also close at the same time. Self-driving travel is very convenient. The hotel has two free parking lots, one at the main entrance and one at the back of the hotel, with ample parking spaces.
The room is simple and clean. The double bed is very big, I believe it is 5 to 6 feet, but it means there is not enough space. I brought a 22-inch suitcase and it can be opened. If I bring a larger suitcase, it will be difficult to open!
There is a popular bakery nearby, ”Shiyao Bread Workshop”, which is really delicious! There is free coffee and tea at the door, and you can buy bread and enjoy breakfast at the outdoor table. The day I went was a Sunday and there were so many people!

KKennyI recently stayed at Hotel R9 and had a pleasant experience, giving it an overall rating of 4 out of 5. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for short stays like overnight visits.
The unique concept of individual container rooms at Hotel R9 adds a touch of novelty to the experience. While the rooms may not be spacious enough for two males sharing a double room, they are still comfortable for couples. I found the rooms to be clean and well-maintained, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 for cleanliness.
Although Hotel R9 lacks fancy facilities like hot spring pools, swimming pools, and saunas, it does provide a convenient laundry room. This is particularly useful for solo and family travelers on a long trip but with a short stay at the hotel. Additionally, the hotel offers the option to soak in a hot water bath, which is especially rejuvenating when feeling tired. In terms of facilities, Hotel R9 falls slightly short with a rating of 3 out of 5. However, considering its focus on providing a comfortable and unique stay, the overall experience compensates for the limited facilities.
The hotel's location is excellent, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating when driving. As for the service, while it was generally good, there is room for improvement, leading to a rating of 4 out of 5.
In conclusion, Hotel R9 is a great choice for travelers seeking a short, convenient stay. With its clean rooms, excellent location for drivers, and a range of practical amenities, it offers a pleasant experience overall.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel. It's only a few minutes away from the beach. Pick-up service is available upon arrival at the station, very nice! The city of Karatsu is so beautiful. The prices there are much lower than in Obama, which is also a coastal city! It’s a great place to relax surrounded by mountains and the sea. There are free snacks and drinks in the afternoon and evening. The room was also very big. Worth it 💯!
AAnonymous UserAfter getting off the train at Saga Station, I found it even more desolate than expected. It is indeed the place that ranks first in the list of the least attractive prefectures for many years. I walked a few hundred meters in the wind and rain to reach the Hagakure B&B. The appearance is no different from that of ordinary residential single-family houses. It is a relatively large villa.
After entering the door, I found that the lighting and atmosphere are quite warm. There is only a young lady at the front desk. You need to scan the code, fill in the information, take a photo of your passport, and finally see the entry and exit password and get the room key.
I booked a four-person female dormitory. The ventilation is probably not very good. One of the people living with me may have lived there for several days. I don’t know if it is Chinese medicine or something. The smell fills the room and can’t be dispersed. Fortunately, the store is very considerate to set up a small portable fan at the head of the bed. At night, the fan is always turned on to speed up ventilation.
There was another small incident. Because it rained that day, we left our wet umbrellas at the entrance area to dry. We didn’t expect to find out the next morning that the area was locked from the evening until the next day when new check-ins were received. Therefore, when we left the next morning, another customer and I couldn’t go to the bar area to get our umbrellas. Fortunately, after contacting the store, we got their understanding and they promised to send our umbrellas to our homes. Although I haven’t received them yet, I’d like to give a thumbs up to this early response!
Lluhwa99Very close to the train station, just walk two or three minutes to the left of the station
The facilities are very clean, the bed is very good, and the toiletries are all dhc brand products
It is also very quiet to sleep at night, and there is a simple Japanese breakfast in the morning. It's more than 200 yuan, so it's very cost-effective. I will stay here next time.

GGuest UserThe Hotel is very accessible. 2 minutes walk from Tosu station. There is also Lawson beside.
The hotel is very clean and quiet. The staff are welcoming and some can speak English. The food from the restaurant is delicious.
GGuest UserI am very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. First of all, the staff is very friendly and professional, they are always willing to help and answer my questions. Whether it was the front desk or room service, they always had a smile on their face and made me feel warmly welcomed.
The hotel's facilities are very traditional Japanese. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable, allowing me to enjoy a good sleep every night. The bath is beautifully designed and provides a variety of high-quality toiletries. Allows me to relax and unwind while traveling.
Overall, this hotel provides a comfortable, luxurious and enjoyable stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone planning a trip here. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure vacation, this hotel can meet your needs and give you an unforgettable travel experience.

Small hotel, many old staff, warm and polite, can't speak English but can use a translator
Breakfast and dinner are good, but crabs cost extra, 3,000 yuan each, and you can drink all you want with sake (2,400 yeb)
