Was a really clean, welcoming hotel experience.
The room was great, plenty of space & felt very relaxed throughout my stay.
Bed was nice and comfortable.
Room did feel a little warm at times, even with the temp turned down.
Staff at the front desk were really lovely.
Happily stay at this hotel again.
Located next to the university, there are swans by the lake, beautiful scenery, and close to the train station, shops, restaurants and supermarkets, very convenient. What’s even more unexpected is a small welcome gift🎁 in this cold☃️weather❄️ – warm cookies🍪
Excellent stay at this hotel 10/10 staff friendly room spot on carnt fault it ! enjoyed our stay breakfast was good will be back just what we needed a lovely weekend break Thank you 😊
The Pelham Hotel was a pleasant surprise! As a solo traveler, I appreciated the friendly staff and the cozy, clean room. While the location isn't in the heart of a bustling city, it's perfect for a quiet getaway. The on-site pub was a great spot to unwind after a long day. It might not be a five-star luxury, but for a comfortable and affordable stay, the Pelham Hotel definitely hits the mark!
Stayed here for 4 days, I’m currently walking the coast line. Cheap and cheerful, nothing too exciting but good if you just want to relax close to the sea! :) I actually enjoyed it here, nice place, but I’m a simple guy! :)

If I'm honest this hotel was not great value for money. The room was small, not very clean, bed was uncomfortable and smelt musty (I know they make a big thing about being a hotel/inn since 1203 - but I don't want the smell from that era as well). I have stayed here previously and it was much better (or at least the room I was in was better). So I will not being staying here in the future
SSamThe staff were friendly and the actual hotel was quite elegant. The grounds were amazing, and there were plenty of lovely places for photos with colourful flowers. We ate dinner in the hotel and the presentation of the food and the quality was excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection. The mushroom risotto wasn't quite as good as it had some crunchy bits of rice in it. It needed about 10 minutes longer on a slow heat, and then it would have been perfect; as it wasn't that hot either.
This hotel boasts that it has a spa, swimming pool, and lots of different spa room experiences. Normally, when you use the leisure facilities connected to the hotel that you're staying in, they provide towels free of charge.
Not this one. We walked over with our swimwear and room key card to be told that towels were £1 each. We explained that we didn't bring a wallet, money, or a phone to pay with. We asked if they could charge it to our room. They couldn't!! They said that you can use the one in your hotel room or walk back to the hotel reception and they'd give us them. Not helpful at all.
Then, we went in to find the two foot spa's didn't work, and when I said it to the leisure centre manager, his reply was ' I know as I reported them last week'. But not a sign on them to say that they weren't working!
Overall, the hotel needed a bit of a spruce up; but they made up for it with friendly staff.
We paid to play a 9 hole game of golf and the staff in the golf shop was amazing.
LLantianbaiyunVery ordinary hotel, the location is good, in the city center, next to the restaurant street, walking to the castle and transportation is very convenient. We arrived a little early and couldn't check in. We had to wait until 3:00 to check in. The hotel breakfast was not bad,the dining environment was good and the style was modern and fashionable.
GGuest UserFirst impression it could do with make over every where seened tired sticky to touch. Room was large but basic no shower, but could look past that. But local good for bars, club and restaurants. Also free parking one site. However at midnight the fun began the noise outside was horrendus shouting swearing we had no sleep from midnight till five am then we had a dog crying and someone trying to use a key safe very loudly. Tried to have a bath in the morning, water very hot but cold came out as a trickle had to use the kettle to filter Cold water from basin. On the plus side bedding was lovely and room warm and comfy. But unfortunately WOULD not be returning. Will definitely book alternative.
GGuest UserAll the staff were friendly efficient and very helpful. The room was very clean spacious and beautifully decorated in keeping with the age of building yet and uncluttered contemporary feel. Room temperature was controllable and the provisions, TV etc. of excellent quality. Next time we would look to have dinner there as the breakfast restaurant was of the same excellent standard with everything beautifully cooked fresh, hot and well presented. We were able to park and this plus the location in Stamford made the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. A big thank you to Toni on reception who was very helpful and friendly.
JJames Tsz KwanFree upgrade from a double room to a family room (consists of a separate double room, a single room and one toilet / shower) in a big room. Free onsite parking.
Dinner deal was very great, 2 mains for £15, and big portions! Free welcoming hot drink was available too.
The shower water is hot, yet the water pressure is weak (perhaps it is a ”water-saving” style?)
Hot items of breakfast buffet was great, esp. the mushrooms were very big, with free refill filter coffee and tea. It'd be good if there are yogurt and more varieties of bread.
Just 5 minutes drive to town centre / train station.

Aangie adeJosie and Paul are very nice friendly hosts, we arrived early and they let us park our car up while the room was being prepared. We stayed 2 nights in a ground floor room which was very clean and tidy with a tv, coffee stand and fresh towels, the bed was so comfortable and clean. also the guest house was quiet and well lit when you arrive back late at night .
A really nice area and it's only a short walk to all the attractions and seafront from the b&b. We didn't have breakfast but it did look amazing. We recommend this guest house 100%
