I'm deaf person and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful, we talked by writing in notebook too, and breakfast was yummy :) I was there in a expensive weekend than to other weekends, but what to do.. But the view from the window at the night was nice and making us calm. Unfortunately there in the TV I couldn't find subtitles in English language.

Overall, this hotel was a superb experience.
We arrived around 18.00 in the evening after a long drive. Unfortunately some technical error in their system required us to wait in the lobby for about 30min, but we were swiftly compensated in the form of free parking and a complimentary prosecco in the room.
The room itself was beautiful. Amazing view, very comfortable bed and TV placement, a very long bathtub. The only mild annoyance was that the bathroom light was finicky to turn on and adjust.
The spa is a must-experience, especially after a long drive from one side of Sweden to the other. It was excellent; nothing to complain about.
The best thing about Upper House however, is the breakfast. I have never had a better breakfast experience anywhere else in the world. I would gladly stay again just to eat their breakfast menu.
Very excellent stay, great service and great food. A solid 9.5/10 experience.
It's my third time to live in this hotel! It's very comfortable, convenient, very near to the airport! Free shuttle-bus to airport.Quite good restaurant and delicious breakfast!
A good hotel, but the rooms already have problems. For an overnight stay of 1 day, it will do. Unfortunately, the pool was not working during our stay. Also, parking at the hotel is paid, but there is a free one right next to the gas station. We thought it was strange. The hotel is not in the city center, but in a quiet area. The rooms are very large, although it was written that the room was small, this was a nice bonus. The hotel is three stars, except for soap and towels there is nothing, but this is logical. Breakfast is good
Next to the main road in the south of Gothenburg, the hotel price is not high because it is relatively biased, but the facilities are quite complete. I told the front desk that we would leave at three or four in the morning. I also prepared a bag of breakfast, sandwiches, juice, yogurt, and apples. All gave one. Coffee is free, too, and it’s great.
Ett hotell mitt i stan med otrolig utsikt mot havet och gästhamnen
Väldigt god frukost med mycket att välja på
Omelett gjordes efter önskemål
Fint rum med fläkt då det var väldigt varmt ute.
Bra parkering
The service was good. Our card didn't work for the door. The staff helped us change it and came up to the room to make sure the card worked. The breakfast was good. Could have had a fridge and AC in the room. Otherwise everything was great

Dusty and super cold room, they came with a hot air fan that barely helped but sounded like a fan. No ceiling lights so hard to get light in the room to see, only night lights. The location is great and the staff is good, but you shouldn't have to freeze and ceiling lights are a must if you need to be able to see clearly like me.
Good with a few restrictions
The hotel is very centrally located. Other positives: good value for money, very friendly staff, the price includes an evening meal (a dish of the day, soup and salads from the buffet, good and plentiful) as well as coffee/tea/cocoa plus cake in the afternoon.
Negatives: a small room, stuffy at night and a narrow bed (1.40m) with a very soft mattress. The room was so small that we could hardly pass each other. The request via the booking portal for two single beds and a hotel parking space was not met. The hotel also only has a limited number of parking spaces, we found a cheap one at the university, about 3 minutes on foot.

DDejan SkaljacThe location could not be more central in the heart of Gothenburg. The hotel is a stone's throw from both the train and bus stations and walking distance from tons of restaurants and shops. The service is impeccable and the cleanliness exemplary - high gloss is the word!. I am not a pet owner but this little detail will warm the cockles of any dog owner's heart - the doggo welcome corner by the lifts across the aisle from the reception, with a bit of water and some dry nosh. (see picture). Great experience. A heart-felt recommendation for the hotel ,and a rave review for the breakfast!!!
WWanna goThis was good hotel, located in the center of Gothenborg where you have good access to almost everything. It was a beautiful hotel with a good interior design. It was clean enough. As a not good point, we can say they don't put slipperies in the rooms that is a little annoying.
Breakfast was perfect with a very good anf acceptable range of foods and drinks.
Parking cost is too much here. It's almost 400 SEK per each day, buy you still have this alternative that park your car in some public parkings, with 10 minutes walking to the hotel and much lower cost.
AAnonymous UserSuper great hotel! It is recommended to book a superior room of 30 square meters, which is really large in Northern Europe. It is very cost-effective. The superior room has enough space to separate the bathtub and shower. It has double sinks and is very comfortable overall.
The toiletries have a very special smell, and the Chinese character ”Jing” on the bottle is very friendly. The hygiene is very good, and the cleaning staff is also very easy to communicate with. Even if the room is full of people on weekends, the cleaning is very fast!
The breakfast is good. There are free coffee machines on each floor, milk plant milk, as well as croissants, sandwiches, and snacks for you to enjoy. This is very special! You can enjoy the centuries-old castle architecture without leaving the hotel!
The rooftop swimming pool is said to be good but I didn’t go there. I might give it a try next time!
The location is undoubtedly the best choice for taking the train. The train station is very convenient for business and there are many restaurants and supermarkets. Accommodation is very convenient!
Gothenburg is not big, but the Volvo Museum and the Art Museum are more worth visiting!
special reminder! This city is nicknamed ”Little London” in autumn and winter because it is foggy and rains almost every day! But it’s just light rain, and it will stop for a while, so it’s best to bring a waterproof hard-shell windbreaker to wear over your down jacket! very important! This way you don’t need to bring an umbrella!
The restaurant on the second floor of the hotel! delicious! The sommelier is an Italian guy who is very talkative and knowledgeable about wine. The wine pairings he recommends are very good! It would be great to stay in this hotel and go directly to the second floor for dinner. The set menu is very cheap at four to five hundred Swedish kronor per person for three or four dishes, but I personally prefer a la carte! Recommended raw beef tartare is delicious! Fried artichokes are delicious too! Flounder is also good! Highly recommend this restaurant!
The restaurant is also very loving. It is closed on Sunday night in order to give homeless homeless people in Gothenburg an early Christmas and feel the warmth. All the restaurant chefs and service staff went to cook for them! On the big weekend, it was indeed Nordic style! Thumbs up!

SScullyThe staff working on the weekend were super nice and helpful, and I’ve stayed here many, many times, always so nice & such a lovely boutique place to stay with many awesome things to like. On the day I checked out oh my god, where did this girl suddenly come from? Little wanna be Swedish police officer banging on my door trying to get in. Ok i fell asleep after breakfast? So what. Even after i checked out & and was just having a coffee in the lobby, she came again in my face demanding to know if i had checked out? She was just rude, unprofessional, behavior was unbelievable. Really ruined my experience at the nice hotel Pigalle. Actually, I don’t accept people thinking they are better than everyone else & they think that they can just talk to people like they are a piece of crap. Therefore, sadly, I don’t think I will ever stay here ever again.. Sorry but..
GGuest UserThis is a great place to stay if you are having a child-focused holiday. Its also a cool place for adults too. The bunk beds are great. The rooms are dark at night which is great because the sun never goes down in the summer. The breakfast was amazing—one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere in the world. The bathrooms are spacious. The hotel is really new. The attention to detail in all aspects of decor and thoughtfulness of what makes a good customer experience have been considered. It connects to the theme park which is easy and great. The rooftop bar is cool. I would staff there again and recommend it to anyone. The only thing that could have been better would be a spot to drop luggage, there is no easy car access to the front door.
KKekexiaojieCocoThe scenery is so beautiful, I want to come again next time! This hotel feels like the crew used it back then. Although small, it is very clean and very special. The coffee is delicious.
