We used this as our first accommodation on our trip to the Amalfi Coast. There are trains from Naples Central and, although there are fewer trains to Sorrento, so getting there and back is easy. Transportation to places like Positano and Amalfi is sparse and takes a long time, so staying here is a safe option. The door lock was a bit stiff, but the front desk staff and someone in the room next door helped us out. The view from the breakfast area was amazing.

This hotel boasts a classic style with rich burgundy tones and well-appointed wooden furnishings. It was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays. The front desk staff were kind and efficient. Our room was spacious and bright, just as pictured on their website. The continental breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of pastries and cakes, served in a room with a sea view. The location is ideal, perfect for reaching both Piazza del Plebiscito and the various restaurants along the Partenope seafront. Overall, a very positive experience.

The hotel is a bit far from the train station, but it is convenient to drive. There is a small parking lot. The hotel is a bit old (or do they want to deliberately do old?), breakfast is delicious, the hotel facilities are small and beautiful. Very close to the site, this is a big advantage.

GGuest UserHotel itself is pretty standard as what you would expect from any big chain hotels, but service was definitely not up to par. We were told there would be valet service - there was none. The bus boys just told us to park ourselves. FINE. Then after I've checked in I asked if the luggage will be sent up to our room - reception then asked if I got a luggage ticket to which I told him we weren't given anything. The bus boys just stood around the entrance. He said they would be sent up shortly but given how they were just standing around we just took our luggage ourselves - mind you I am 6 months pregnant and obviously so but they did not offer any help. Once we got to our room the air conditioning was not working - we kept dialing it down but there was no air. Amazing to find out the AC wasn't working for the price we paid. The room is stuffy and even the hallway was cooler. Also during our stay there was conference - we were given a room on the same floor as conference participants and as expected they were loud and rowdy at night. We could hear them talking in the hallway at night when we called reception they said there was nothing they can do. So very helpful. Upon check out, the same bus boy stood around while watching a pregnant lady wheel 4 pieces of luggage out. I really just wonder what they do other than standing around all day hanging in the shade. Service is terrible here and I've had better service at small boutique or family run hotels than here. The only upside to this stay was that the rooms are spacious and clean and that's about it.

GGuest UserWe originally booked Hotel Aequa for one night and extended our stay to seven nights, which reflects how comfortable and convenient the experience was overall. The pictures show the lovely pictures of the compound. Very pet friendly. The hotel is very well located as a base for exploring the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, and Naples. It offers a quieter and more practical alternative to staying in the more crowded tourist areas, while still providing easy access to key destinations. The room was comfortable, with a balcony that provided a good view. The ground floor common areas are spacious and well laid out, creating a pleasant environment to relax outside of the room. Breakfast is consistent and enjoyable, with items such as hot chocolate and a well-prepared cheese omelette. The staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the stay. Housekeeping is reliable, with rooms cleaned daily and maintained to a good standard. The hotel also provides a private car park at a reasonable rate of 15 euros per day, which is particularly convenient for those driving in the region. There is a lift available, making it easy to access rooms with luggage. Amenities are very good overall, contributing to a comfortable and well-managed stay. The hotel offers a balanced combination of convenience, comfort, and value, making it a strong choice for travelers exploring this part of Italy.

GGuest UserI would think with the pictures showing a pool and daybeds these would be free but when we got there they told us they are 15euro each day to use even though we are hotel guests. The reason we chose a hotel with a pool rather than paying for 1 at the beach. Very disappointed. The showers are very small we aren’t big people and found it hard showering. Balcony was good as could rinse clothes and dry outside but just placed over the chairs. No kettle in the room but can get free coffee with breakfast. Breakfast was included which was great. Scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, danishes, juice and coffee. Location was great coming off the ferry as right at the port with luggage. If going to town it’s a big stair case up to the top or you can walk along the beach to the lift down the road which is 2 euro to use. The bar upstairs has amazing sunsets, lovely watching the sun go down and they have a DJ playing lovely slow singing music which all generations could enjoy. The drinks are slightly priced at the bar though. The restaurant at bottom of hotel was great. 7 euro Margherita pizza and you get 10% off being a hotel guest. I would probably next time stay in town as closer to everything but I like walking and hiking for exercise so the big staircase worked for me but wouldn’t for lots of people. I think the hotel may of said they have free taxi to town but not 100 % sure.

OoliviachenzwWe stayed 3 nights at Santa Fortunata Village in Dodome Tent No. 9 and had a pleasant experience overall. The village is located a bit outside of Sorrento town, but since we were driving, the distance wasn’t an issue. For those not driving, they do offer a buggy service, which is convenient. Our tent didn’t have the best view, but we were still able to catch beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was quiet and peaceful throughout our stay, with no disturbances from other campers. The bed was comfortable, and the tent included a plug point and two USB ports. However, there were no built-in lights, so we recommend bringing your own portable USB light. There were ants on the ground, but it wasn’t a major problem. The parking lot was spacious, and the shared bathrooms and toilets were a short walk away. Showers had hot water, and there were plenty of basins and mirrors available. The provided hair dryer was quite weak, so it’s better to bring your own if needed. The village also has mini marts and a restaurant. We had dinner at the restaurant once—it was a bit pricey, but the atmosphere was elegant and enjoyable. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. They offer excursions as well, though we had already planned our own itinerary. All in all, it was a comfortable and quiet glamping experience. We'd definitely consider coming back!

GGuest UserWe arrived at 1030am and were informed that the check in was at 3pm. Asked twice because we thought it was later than usual. The lady with spectacles insisted it was 3pm. Checked online later, found out it was after 2:30pm. If the room wasn’t ready, she could have just said it so, instead of misleading us.  Second, this was the only hotel in entire Italy that didn’t even offer free water bottles. You would find it in the mini bar and it costs 3 euros.  The amenities consisted of paper cups and small bottles of body wash/ shampoo which weren’t replaced the next day, so we had to make do with what little soap was left. The bed was put horribly together. The bathroom had mold in so many corners, the walls were dirty, didn’t seem like it was thoroughly cleaned in years.  The good thing was that there was spare pillows, a balcony with table & chair. The breakfast was one of the better breakfast we had in Italy. The location was amazing, 1km to the port and there was a grocery shop nearby. The price was also reasonable  (250 euro per night) when we booked. However we considered extending our stay and checked two weeks before we were due to arrive and it had gone up more than 50%, at which point I don’t think it was worth it.

KKas1Mixed feelings about my stay at Grand Hotel Parco del Sole in Sant’Agnello. There are some genuinely good points: the garden and pool are well-maintained, and the entrance is magnificent with palm trees that make you feel like you’re arriving at a grand villa. The shuttle service to and from Sorrento is also a convenient plus. However, the hotel feels like it’s past its glory days. It seems it’s now mainly serves British package holidaymakers, and many rules feel outdated. For example, you must return pool towels to reception upon checkout, and they keep your ID at check-in for about 30 minutes to make a copy—both inconvenient and old-fashioned practices. The breakfast is very standard with terrible coffee, which is particularly shameful for Italy. But the worst part was the outdoor seating area in the breakfast restaurant—it was filthy, seemingly not cleaned for a year or longer. Bird droppings and general grime made it unpleasant to eat there. Overall, while the property has potential with its beautiful grounds, the outdated policies, and cleanliness issues make it hard to fully recommend.

GGuest UserOver all experience ! 8/10! Location 10-15 to Sorrento town centre by bus ! Which is right outside. So don’t bother for taxi , or paid car parking ! Sea view hotel. 3 star but with lovely pool , sea view sitting area to relax for guests. Hand wash , hair dryer , small bathroom. Shower area very tight but manageable. Locker. Air con. Room size ( booked Standered) ok. 15M ! Manageable Room cleanliness good . Bed comfortable ! Cupboard. All this in 3 star is mind boggling ! Now Negative points . U can’t sleep for long. Max 8-9am. As check out is 10.30am max. BF 7/10. As other guest start closing doors going for BF so u hear them. It’s a two story hotel with stairs. No elevator. But has help to take your luggage to rooms. Try to take rooms on 1st floor. If u r over 55 plus. But keep in mind. It’s 3 star. With sea view and pool. Last suggestion. Don’t other taking rent a car. Take ferries. Driving on some road here is not very safe with Italian drivers. Plus traffic.
