The room was small, but the room was clean. Breakfast is in the lobby and tastes good. Good location, close to the beach, there is an American supermarket nearby, shopping is more convenient.
I had a problem with my visa when arriving at the airport so I was not able to left the customs/airport and I informed the hotel, and they refused to help me to cancel the reservation which was just for 1 night due to connecting flights. Then no support for the customers so will not consider this hotel for other occassiobs
Ibis is much better than the local hotel at the same price, sharing a small courtyard and a garden with Novotel. Can choose the sea view room, very quiet, recommended.
Booked a room for two people for 5 nights.
Room looked neat: clean, AC, TV and safe worked fine
The left window could be closed but not locked
Bathroom:
- However, there was a lot of mold in the joints of the tiles in the shower room
- the sink was virtually clogged
- There was a tear in the shower 'curtain' that had been patched.
Service: was bizarre
People at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful
Problem: it was booked for two people, but only one bath towel, one cup and one glass were provided (with kettle)
I later received the t****e bath towel after asking at reception. Unfortunately, the first three days I went back to reception 8 (!) times to get a t****th cup and t****th glass.
It was always promised that we would get them. There was also a call in my presence to come through and bring a cup and glass. I put a note next to one cup asking for a second cup and a second glass.
It's not a disaster, but you shouldn't pretend to be a 4-star hotel with such service! The room, bathroom and service are more consistent with a 2 or 3 star hotel.
The buffet breakfast (over 12 euros per person) was appropriate for a 4 star hotel and was excellent.
Upon arrival we were told breakfast was included. When I asked them the next day if they wanted to check this again, so that I wouldn't suddenly have to pay an extra 120 Euro at the end, they could no longer find my booking. They would search further. The next morning I received a call that breakfast was not included after all!
(We had received the trip as a gift and didn't know if breakfast was included)
All in all, great location, friendly, helpful people at reception, but apart from a good breakfast, it is at most a 3-star room that needs maintenance

Nice hotel and good breakfast. The price is very high in Dakar. It is also very close to the Dakar wholesale market, and it is very good to live here for business travel.

GGuest UserThe location overlooking the lake is of course fantastic. On-site restaurant and bar are lovely, three pools to choose from (all operational when I was there). If you want to swim in the lake it's a bit of a climb down a wall to get there, or you walk through the bushes behind the small building at the far end of the pool area.
Staff was nice even if maybe a bit uninterested, but can't blame them, there were barely any guests and they essentially kept the restaurant and bar open just for a tiny group. Everything friendly and nice. Rooms are a bit dated but everything works fine, so it's alright. WiFi was actually very decent.
NNTDialloExcellent stay at this brand new establishment!
. The rooms were wonderful and spacious offering a Cozy bed was also a huge plus!!
. The staff was highly efficient, accommodating and true examples of exceptional service.
. The food was ok. We didn't experience the breakfast buffet since there were very few guest, so this was totally understandable.
They didn't miss ANYTHING on this one and spared not one amenity. From energy efficiency, luxury accommodations and beautiful decor. I recommend Sama for your visit to Almadies Dakar.

RReneReneThis is the second time staying at this hotel , it’s a good clean place to stay with a certain charm . I think it’s run by a French family. Convenient location and a nice restaurant on the roof for dinners, I highly recommend this place

FFANGThe hotel is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and it is very good for vacation and leisure. You can see the sun rising on the Atlantic Ocean... There are a lot of eagles here. Whether hovering, swooping or perching, eagles will make you remember them with a special call. The service is very good, the breakfast provided by the hotel is very good, the pool is also very good, the service is great
