From my friends:
“Well, he's so-so, not super wow, old. But the bed was awesome! very soft”
“Listen, the breakfast is crap. We got there somewhere around 8.30, 9. There was practically nothing there. And they didn't change anything. And the breakfast wasn't like the pictures. In short, yeah, it's a regular piece of crap. And you asked for a room next to the elevator, but they gave us one at the very end of the corridor, the very last room. You had to slog to get there for a million years.”
“And it stank of some kind, but the room itself seemed okay. Old, but that's it, pretty nice, not terrible. And the bed was soft.”
“The location is also good, by the way. Just as I wanted, next to all these temples.”

Kukup, a fishing village in Pontian, has often been among the top draws for harried out-of-towners seeking a respite and the flavours of small towns.
“It is a small and serene coastal town, where we can enjoy activities like cycling and walks on the jetty,” said Mohd Aniq Mohamad Fauzi, 23.

I had a wonderful stay at Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort. Everything from the service to the room and surroundings was excellent. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the facilities were well-maintained. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

Really enjoyed our stay at Doowall! The location was not near the city, but we purposely chose it for that reason. The surroundings were very tranquil (can hear birds chirping) and just lovely. The in house cafe had very good drinks and food. And the breakfast provided was also delish! We loved it so much. They also gave a welcome cake. The room was very comfortable. Service was very attentive. They also provided transfer to and fro the city and airport (at a reasonable cost). Staff also welcomed us at the door and we felt well taken care of. Thank you for the stay Doowall!
The location is good, but the interior of the room is too old and feels worn out. There is no view, but the room is big so it is not stuffy, and the parking lot is spacious, which is good. You could say that everything is nearby. It is about a 5-minute walk from the border checkpoint. I couldn't try breakfast because it was not open.
I liked the hotel very much. Clean and comfortable room, good bathtub, wifi, breakfast. The receptionists were attentive. They can order a tuktuk taxi for you. Also, there are free bicycles, which was very convenient to explore the temples and stupas in Chiang Saen. The city is safe, and you don't need a lock for your bicycle.
Our 2nd time at Katiliya. Location is both a pro and a con. It is very out of the way, but in return, you get absolute peace the entire stay. The cleanliness is tip top for the property, although u get some visible fatigue in the bedlinen (with holes) and yellowed pillows. Can see the balcony has been freshened up a little. Service is top notch with great hospitability and swift responses to our requests for buggies. There is only 1 restaurant and 1 bar. Fitness centre is an eerie walk down to basement - not for the faint hearted. But overall we would come back again as its the best mountain view accommodation without sacrificing on comfort, almost at a luxury level. Breakfast spread was wonderful. Wished there were lifts though, as my mum has difficulties in walking and had to always climb up and down 1 floor to the restaurant. For such views, you might usually have to consider rundown homestays.
perfect place to wait for crossing the boarder. great view from porch to the other side of Mekong river (which is Laos). Great kitchen, very friendly, english speaking stuff and a good breakfast. Room is very clean, also the bath.
New, clean bedroom with a beautiful view. There are many restaurants near the hotel, all within walking distance.”

PPloyycs🛖🌳 The atmosphere is friendly. Hidden in the community area of Chiang Rai. It's also secretly in the alley. if unintentionally It's definitely not a drive-thru. Once you enter, it will be like a big house. with ample space Divided into cafe, room and lawn 🌿🍃
The room we stayed in was Deluxe, priced at 2,000 baht, located on the 2nd floor. The room had complete facilities. Clothes rail a bit short because there is no wardrobe the bathroom is ok If there is a partition for the shower zone, it would be better. There is a small balcony. Can be made into a sofa to sit and lie down.
🍳🍚🍞 Breakfast is served as a set with eggs, pan, boiled rice and toast.
GGuest UserGenerally pleasant, Fantastic location and relatively new facilities that ensured a comfortable experience. However, the receptionist and restaurant staff could improve their friendliness and customer service. It seemed they lacked the patience to provide directions or assistance when needed. Despite this drawback, the overall stay was enjoyable, thanks to the convenient location and comfortable accommodations.
NNeil H.Think of this hotel, I will think of its location first. As it is located in the heart of Chiang rai City. So convenient for everything. Just cross the road, I can explore a very beautiful northern style temple . Nice local market is just 3 blocks away. Several famous old restaurants in a walking distance too. The hotel itself is nice and clean. Breakfast that I almost skip to get good food outside is good. It was not a buffet though. I got a small menu to choose when checking in.
GGuest UserVery clean and new hotel in a quiet residential area. It’s a bit far from the town center if you don’t have a car but there’s plenty of parking for those that do. A ten-minute walk gets you to a number of popular riverside restaurants. A good choice if you like peaceful surroundings and less than 15 minutes by cab to the airport.
WWWF_WWEStayed here for a few nights.. was my first time in Chiang Rai. I have nothing negative to say, the room was a good size for one person, clean, fully stocked with towels, shower gel, shampoo, bottles of water, etc.and cleaned everyday. When I came back from a days out it was nice and fresh. The shower handle needs to be in a certain direction in order for the hot water to work - (if it's pointed towards you, more pressure = less hot). Location-wise, it was only a few mins from the night bazaar which is very convenient. Many nice temples nearby via walking. Also the clock tower, cat cafe, Watsons, bus station, Boots, restaurants, etc.all walkable - 5mins tops. I recommend staying here.. if you want to go further away to see white and blue temple you can hire a bike rider for just a few Bhat. The big Central Chiang Rai shopping mall is not that far, you can also walk it!
I walked about 2 hours from the hotel to see the giant Buddha statue, along the way I saw many cool stuff. I really do recommend you walk around and check out the scenery rather than taking transport, you will find hidden gems along the way. A+
GGuest UserIt's a quiet and secluded hotel that's a good place to rest comfortably, even though it's far from the city.
If you're looking for a quiet place, it's probably fine.
I stayed in the villa building and it's spacious. The bathroom has an instant water heater, but only lukewarm water comes out, so it was a little uncomfortable to shower.
And a simple breakfast is provided.
GGuest UserThe hotel environment is very good, the staff attitude is very good. Anyone who doesn't know Thai the hotel staffs will help. Breakfast was delicious. The swimming pool is clean. The hotel suit for Travelers on vacation, on business trip and those who want a quiet place to relax. I highly recommend this Hotel.
GGuest UserGood quality hotel. I love it, the cleanliness, room and everything. Just, is better to get rooms on the 2nd floor as you can open the curtains.
Breakfast provided. The variety was not lot but overall is ok.

FFred ConcklinWonderful, friendly and professional staff. Hotel is modern and squeaky clean. Daily housekeeping. Free bottles of water, tea and coffee. We really liked the glass water bottles which we think are sustainable.
Room is spacious for two people. All the amenities for a comfortable stay. Comfy bed but the pillows were too high, made uncomfortable to sleep on it. Good air-conditioning. Ample hot water. Bathroom with good fittings. Water pressure was impressive. Spacious refrigerator which is cool. Flat screen tv with local tv channels.
Nice indoor swimming pool but open roof so during the daytime it gets enough sunlight. Hotel provides
washing machine with a drier. 100 Baht for wash and dry for one hour cycle. Free bicycles for a deposit of 500 Baht.
Hotel's location is great which is walking distance to the main bus stop, night bazaar and the temples. We highly recommend this hotel.
