Stayed here for a few nights.. was my first time in Chiang Rai. I have nothing negative to say, the room was a good size for one person, clean, fully stocked with towels, shower gel, shampoo, bottles of water, etc.and cleaned everyday. When I came back from a days out it was nice and fresh. The shower handle needs to be in a certain direction in order for the hot water to work - (if it's pointed towards you, more pressure = less hot). Location-wise, it was only a few mins from the night bazaar which is very convenient. Many nice temples nearby via walking. Also the clock tower, cat cafe, Watsons, bus station, Boots, restaurants, etc.all walkable - 5mins tops. I recommend staying here.. if you want to go further away to see white and blue temple you can hire a bike rider for just a few Bhat. The big Central Chiang Rai shopping mall is not that far, you can also walk it!
I walked about 2 hours from the hotel to see the giant Buddha statue, along the way I saw many cool stuff. I really do recommend you walk around and check out the scenery rather than taking transport, you will find hidden gems along the way. A+

It was a very good stay. When I got to the room, there was an earthquake at 1:20 PM and at 1:39 PM. There were two earthquakes, but the building didn't shake much even though there was a lot of shaking. The room was good and clean. It is near Big C Mini, so it is convenient to buy things.

Had a very relaxing stay at Meridien Chiang Rai .
Would recommend it and come back again.
Service is very attentive. Gave a small present to my daughter on arrival + toiletries for kids.
I took option with dinner included.
It was at the Italian restaurant. Food and service ate good but should give more options to be chosen from the menu when you are staying several nights.
In general very good experience!

Hotel is new and location is good. Not so far for going downtown area and also close to highway road. But really nice and quiet place. There have big C market around and some restaurants near hotel. Enough Parking space and good environment. Staffs are polite and some of them can communicate with English language. Hotel only provide shower gel and towel. You need to bring your accessories.

The air conditioner is cool. There is no hot water kettle. There is no hair dryer. The refrigerator is big. There is a back door but it is locked so it cannot be opened. It looks like an old building that has been renovated. The bathroom door is hard to close. It is not soundproof. There is a 500 baht security deposit. You have to pay in cash. There is no elevator. 🥲 Carrying my luggage up to the last floor, I almost cried. 😂
The hotel is very clean. The security is excellent with a key card system. There is a welcome drink and in the morning there is bread, coffee and cookies. The smell in the room is very fragrant. There is a clean swimming pool that the children love.

Room is super clean. Staff are nice. A bit noisy from the other house nearby so you should bring earplugs. 7-8 car parks. Quite and easy to find. Recommended!

AAnonymous UserThe rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious, full, the mattress is comfortable, the TV is clear, the entrance is a bit mysterious, hard to find if you don't know, the internet signal is not good. The room is convenient.
GGuest UserGenerally pleasant, Fantastic location and relatively new facilities that ensured a comfortable experience. However, the receptionist and restaurant staff could improve their friendliness and customer service. It seemed they lacked the patience to provide directions or assistance when needed. Despite this drawback, the overall stay was enjoyable, thanks to the convenient location and comfortable accommodations.
NNeil H.Think of this hotel, I will think of its location first. As it is located in the heart of Chiang rai City. So convenient for everything. Just cross the road, I can explore a very beautiful northern style temple . Nice local market is just 3 blocks away. Several famous old restaurants in a walking distance too. The hotel itself is nice and clean. Breakfast that I almost skip to get good food outside is good. It was not a buffet though. I got a small menu to choose when checking in.
GGuest UserVery clean and new hotel in a quiet residential area. It’s a bit far from the town center if you don’t have a car but there’s plenty of parking for those that do. A ten-minute walk gets you to a number of popular riverside restaurants. A good choice if you like peaceful surroundings and less than 15 minutes by cab to the airport.

RRobert Bendula JrThis property has 3 sections to it. 1st the Bungalows these are the most outdated and show it but bed's still comfortable these are in A section. B Section is a line of rooms all connected. These are more up to Date and are nice Big rooms with a nice bathroom. The 3rd C Section is a 2 level indoor Walking area to the rooms these have balconies that some overlook the nice swimming pool. Breakfast is served in a very nice area up Front. I found the staff to be very accommodating except for 1 heavy set person on the night staff who was More into his Phone then helping me and answering my question it's as if I was interfering with his video game or whatever he was doing but definitely not doing his Job. If you want to drink anything more than a coffee cup size bring your own drinking items because they only have coffee cups as I have been told by this night staff. Not having regular drinking glasses at a Resort?? Minus 10 points Big slip in my book. But overall very quiet and relaxing. A little outside of the City it's self but definitely not Bad and a good choice for a few nights. Pictures from Section B
GGuest UserVery quiet home stay style resort. There were plenty of little pot of plant and lovely flowers around the property. A cosy seimming pool to dip in during the lazy morning. Great getaway.
RRAYMOND LYNTONWe needed a 3 night stay in Chiang Rai, so we picked this hotel and found it was in a very convenient location in the center of the city. The lovely people at reception welcomed us with a drink and had our room ready for us. The room was large and clean. There was a variety of dishes for breakfast with good service. It was an excellent stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying a short stay.
TTruderAlways stay at Hi Chiangrai when i visit this town.
Hotel location is perfect as there are lots of eateries within walking distance. Can also walk to the night bazar which also walking distance.
The hotel just renovated recently and the lobby and restaurant looks fantastic.
Will definitely stay in Hi Chiangrai again.
