Nestled in Bukhara's Old Town, Mercure Bukhara Hotel is surrounded by UNESCO-listed landmarks that inspired its architects to blend tradition with elegance using natural wood and handcrafted ceramics. The hotel features a stunning XVI-century-style hammam with a serene pool, a state-of-the-art gym, a well-equipped conference hall for 50 guests, and a refined restaurant with exquisite cuisine-alongside a vibrant bar that constantly delights and surprises.

"・A few days before our stay, my travel companion lost their phone in Tashkent. We had almost given up hope, but Mr. Mirfayz and the other front desk staff went above and beyond, calling various places and eventually finding the phone for us. They provided immense support, including arranging for us to pick it up, and we successfully got the phone back on our departure day. Even though it was a problem unrelated to the hotel, the front desk offered service that went far beyond their usual scope. I don't know everyone's names, but a huge thank you to all of them. ・There were many comfortable seating areas in front of the rooms and the reception. While waiting at the front desk, a staff member brought us tourist brochures for Bukhara and explained them to us. All the staff were very friendly, and Mr. Timur, in particular, was incredibly kind and helpful. ・The laundry service was prompt, meticulous, and thorough. ・It was raining and we were very tired on the day we arrived, but being able to use the pool and sauna made our stay comfortable. The pool area had many small, partitioned spaces, making it comfortable to use even with other people around. ・When we checked out, we had a taxi arranged, but the roads were closed that day, so we had to go to a pick-up point quite far away. The front desk staff carried our luggage all the way to the distant pick-up point. They helped us with so many things until the very end, and we only have good memories. Five stars aren't even enough! When I come to Bukhara again, I will definitely choose this hotel."

"The hotel could be much better if they improved their service! Overall, it's pleasant with a nice design. Let's start with the pros: + Great location, with a bank nearby for currency exchange, a coffee shop across the street, two decent fast-food places, and a small supermarket next to the hotel selling nuts, dried fruits by weight, and tea (prices are generally like a market). Tourist attractions are only 100 rubles and about 5-7 minutes away by taxi. + Good breakfast with a wide selection, almost everything you could want, and tasty. + The room was clean. I can't comment on regular cleaning as I requested it at reception for a specific time, and they accommodated me. + The indoor/outdoor pool is clean, and there's nobody there in the morning. Cons: - After 12 PM, the pool gets crowded. Local guys were smoking right on the sun loungers, and no staff member said anything to them. - Upon check-in, the administrator gave me a room that didn't match my booking. I booked an upgraded room, but I was given a 'budget economy' room on the first floor with a view of a concrete wall and absolutely no natural light! (Photos attached). The administrator refused to give me another room for free, claiming they had no rooms. However, after I contacted Trip.com support, he miraculously found another room category for me without any extra charge! A woman before me had the same situation, so it seems they try to scam guests by initially giving them a bad room and then charging extra to upgrade to the one they should have had in the first place. It was a bit stressful, but the issue was resolved in the end. - The shower barely worked; you could only wash under the tap as there was absolutely no water pressure in the showerhead. - The air conditioning only worked on maximum power; it didn't work at all or would switch off on the lowest setting, which was inconvenient. Hotel management needs to control staff who are ruining the hotel's reputation by assigning rooms that don't match bookings, thus spoiling the mood of guests who paid to relax! I also recommend partial renovation or replacement of the plumbing. The hotel looks solid from the outside, but there are clear management shortcomings internally. Fix these issues, and it will significantly improve occupancy and the number of positive reviews! It's all in your hands! I've also included photos of the room I eventually received after the dispute."

"I had a wonderful stay. The most beautiful room I experienced in Uzbekistan. The hotel is built around a central open courtyard, with rooms on all sides. When you step out of your room, you’re on a balcony overlooking the space, facing the other rooms across the way. It gives the whole place a really calm, traditional feel. What truly made the stay special, though, was the hospitality. The hotel is family-run, and the owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, getting us water at night, arranging something for us to eat before a late departure, and helping organize a taxi. His son also helps run the place and he's really kind, diligent and attentive Breakfast was also very enjoyable, served in a bright and welcoming room that made mornings feel relaxed and pleasant. Overall, a warm, comfortable, and genuinely caring place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bukhara."

Since the hotel seems to have been newly built, there was a slight smell when we first checked in, but it disappeared after two days. The breakfast was abundant. It would have been even better if we could have dined outdoors, as the courtyard has a wonderful ambiance. The hotel owner and staff were all super great and very nice!"

The SAFIYA BOUTIQUE HOTEL is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Bukhara will find that the SAFIYA BOUTIQUE HOTEL is a fantastic accommodation choice. Guests will find Mir-i-Arab Madrasa, Chor Minor Monument and Nadir Divan Begi Khanaka just a short distance from the hotel. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Bukhara hotel features parking on site. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate.

"Located in a location like the entrance to the historic district of Bukhara, convenient location. There was a new annex facing the street and a new annex in the alley, and I was staying in the annex. When I tried to check in at the main building, you were told that it was an annex, and the person in the annex came to guide me, it seems that I don't know which one to stay with the reservation from here. I think the main building and the annex are the same grade. Not a luxury hotel but clean room with Arabian atmosphere, comfortable stay. The only disappointment was that when I checked out at 6:30 in the early morning, I was troublesome. I was telling you to check out at that time the day before."

"I booked a superior single room. I was a bit worried because I didn't get a response when I asked if it would be one bed for two adults, but thankfully it turned out to be two single beds pushed together, which was a relief. The room was on the first floor, a corner unit, facing a small courtyard past the reception (not the courtyard shown in pictures). Security was excellent. However, a downside was that the courtyard light stayed on all night, and the light coming through the glass window above the door disturbed my sleep. Also, the middle of the mattress was worn out, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. The reception staff were fluent in English and very helpful. Since I had an early check-out, they even prepared a breakfast box with sandwiches and an apple. Yandex taxi also came right to the hotel entrance, which was great. "Comfortable in the middle of the historic district First of all, it is located in the center of the historical district, and as soon as you get out of the hotel, you can reach Taki and Medrese. Also, the hotel room is simple but wide 々, so you can spend it without any inconvenience. Personally, I like the breakfast venue, especially in the corner of the terrace seat, there is a small up space of the Chai Hana style, and I had breakfast there on 2 day. It was good because it was an atmosphere that played the conversation with nature and other guests, and it became an open feeling. I can recommend it here too!"

I decided to stay at Dunyo Palace as it had a swimming pool and was great value for money. Getting to Dunyo Palace was very easy on public transport as I caught bus no 33 from the centre of Bukhara straight to the outside of the hotel. It was easy. I have stayed at Dunyo palace before and I had a great stay. My room was bigger than expected with a fridge, air conditioning and a kettle. I was greeted by the nice reception lady she was very helpful. I had breakfast and it was a buffet with a large selection of Uzbekistan breakfast foods. An omelette was freshly prepared for me in the mornings. The hotel pool was really nice to swim in after a long day walking around sight seeing in Bukhara. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and I will stay again in the future. The images I share are of the room I stayed in on my departure, the air conditioning, and the bathroom area. I’ve also added the places I visited while staying there. I have already added a lot of images to my last feedback if you want to check it out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Boutique Old City, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. Perfectly located in the heart of the old town, the hotel offers convenient access to major historical attractions, local restaurants, and vibrant الأسواق, all within walking distance. This made it incredibly easy to explore the cultural charm of the city without needing transportation. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the team went out of their way to ensure I felt welcomed. They were always ready to assist with recommendations, directions, and even small personal requests, which added a thoughtful touch to the overall experience. The room itself was beautifully designed, blending traditional aesthetics with modern comfort. It was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with attention to detail in both décor and amenities. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite the central location, which can often be a challenge in busy areas. One of the standout features of Boutique Old City is its charming courtyard. It provides a peaceful space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and soak in the historical ambiance. In the mornings, breakfast was served with a variety of local and international options. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was a great way to start the day. Another aspect worth mentioning is the hotel’s authenticity. Unlike larger chain hotels, Boutique Old City offers a more intimate and culturally immersive experience. The architecture and interior design reflect the heritage of the region, allowing guests to feel more connected to the destination. Overall, my stay at Boutique Old City exceeded expectations. It combines excellent location, friendly service, and comfortable accommodation in a way that truly enhances the travel experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the old city.

Loved staying here. Excellent, yet peaceful, location right in the middle of the ‘old town’, surrounded by shops and restaurants and most , if not all , of the important sites within walking distance. Friendly service, comfortable rooms and lovely breakfast. ( note this is Rayyan 1 hotel, next to the Synagogue, not sister hotel Rayyan 2, which Yandex taxi might take you close to, but still within walking distance)

An absolutely wonderful hotel that left us with absolutely wonderful memories! The Lyabi Hauz Hotel is located just a stone's throw from Lyabi Hauz in the old historic city of Bukhara. The streets are narrow, nestled between closely packed houses, often other hotels, and cars are not allowed. So the taxi driver dropped us off near the edge of the old city, and we then wheeled our suitcases to the hotel. Apparently, the Lyabi Hauz Hotel is a former madrassa converted into a hotel. A small part of the hotel is occupied by the Aivan restaurant, which apparently serves primarily European dishes, but at lunch you can try Bukhara pilaf, which is not on the menu. The location right next to the tourist center is a definite advantage. It was very convenient to walk to the nearby attractions, of which there are plenty. We also walked to Samonid Park and the Ark Fortress. Our room was comfortable, with windows overlooking an inner courtyard that could be screened off with curtains. The Wi-Fi worked well. The only downsides I could find were that the bathroom exhaust fan was loud and turned on with the light, and that there wasn't enough space in the bathroom to hang two sets of towels—there weren't enough hooks or anything else to hang four towels. But those are minor details. We really enjoyed our stay and relaxation at this hotel, thank you!

Our stay here was excellent! We decided to book this accomodation based on the other reviews, and it was even more wonderful than we thought! This is a home stay, and it was great to meet the family and speak with them. It is very close to the old city attractions, which made it so easy to walk to them. The family were lovely to us during our stay. The breakfast was extra special as our host made sure that we tried an array of dishes, and he even went out of his way to go to the market to get ingredients to prepare our breakfast. It was really lovely to go on the walking tour, we went to the summer palace and got to learn a lot about Uzbek culture during the tour. We chose to do a plov making class with the family as well, and it was the most delicious meal we had during the trip, and we really enjoyed learning how to make the dish and getting to know the family some more This stay was excellent and made us really love Bukhara, we highly recommend staying here!
