The Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas Cultural Tourism Area is located in the northern suburbs of Dali Ancient City, a Buddhist cultural holy land at the foot of Cangshan Mountain. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple consist of one large and two small ones. On March 4, 1961, the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple entered the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. According to reports, nine kings of the Dali Kingdom have practiced in Chongsheng Temple, which is a famous royal temple of Nanzhao and Dali Kingdom. During the Xianfeng and Tongzhi years of the Qing Dynasty, Chongsheng Temple was destroyed by military changes and natural disasters, leaving only three pagodas. After many years of protection and restoration and reconstruction, Chongsheng Temple has become the largest Han Buddhism temple in the country, and the entire temple is magnificent and golden. A national 5A-level tourist attraction built with an investment of 400 million yuan is worth a visit.
