Seeking the gradient colors of Hangzhou in November
I didn't have the chance to experience the beautiful scenery of Hangzhou during the Asian Games, but I found stunning gradient colors in Hangzhou at the end of November. I've been to Hangzhou many times, and in the past, it was more about nostalgia, missing everything about my school days. Every time I went there, I would stroll along the route I used to take, reminiscing about the 151 tram on Yan'an Road. With two braids trailing behind me, occasionally a braid would come loose, the driver would get off the bus, pull the wire a few times, align it with the track, and then continue driving. This time, I was more in search of beautiful scenery. Hangzhou at the end of November was like a knocked-over palette. Cycling on the road from Lingyin to Beishan Street, the sunlight filtered through the dense leaves, and the golden plane tree leaves slowly fell with the wind. All worries can be put aside for the moment, and there is an irresistible urge to shout out loud. It's really too comfortable. From Jiuxi Yanshu to Lingyin Yongfu Zen Temple, then to Xiling Bridge and Bai Causeway, along Nanshan Road from Taiziwan to Huagang Guanyu, the golden or earthy yellow leaves are interspersed with red Japanese maples, reflected on the water surface, it's hard not to feel that the people of Hangzhou are fortunate.

Jiuxi 18 Stream is amazing 🌿
The crystal-clear waters and lush surroundings of Jiuxi 18 Stream offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you are visiting this place for the first time, I recommend this 2-hour trail route.
🚌 How to get there?
The parking lot is usually crodwd, so it is recommended to take bus or taxi to Jiuxi Station.
🗺️ Route: Jiuxi (bus station) -> Linhai Kiosk (林海亭) -> Jiuxi Yan Shu (九溪烟树) -> Yangmei Ling (杨梅岭) -> Man Jue Long (满觉陇)
Tips: If you turn left at Jiuxi Yan Shu, you'll see the Longjing Village (龙井村), which is famous for the Longjing tea.

Jiuxi, Hangzhou best outdoor seeking place
Hangzhou Jiuxi Scenic Spot is a forest area as famous as Xixi Wetland Park, which is very suitable for outdoor hiking. It's a good place to travel all year round and not far from the city, so it is better to take public transportation there, you can have many lines depending on where you start you travel. Driving there may hit traffic jam, you must make a preparatory.
Jiuxi is also the origin of the famous West Lake Longjing Tea. Here, you can see the flow of streams, you can see the tall shrubs, and you can feel the ups and downs of the hills. Find a tea shop to enjoy a cup of local green tea, get more close to the local farmer’s life.
Visiting the Lian temple is also a good choice, which is located in the middle of the Jiuxi scenic spot, you can find it on the wayside.

Inside Westlake lots to be explore like the Nine Creeks in the Misty Forest Located west of West Lake. The nine creeks merge and flow together until they form a Y-shaped brook. It is a wonderful place to enjoy tea , as many tea houses along the way.
You can take a buggy to take you to the center of the area, it cost 8 rmb PP one way. Or choose to walk it’s about 1 hour , but you get to enjoy the tea fields see the creek up close. The water is so clear it’s amazing.
Along the way you have snacks and shops to buy drinks , but taking your own is also a good idea. Once at the main area , you will see the beautiful waterfall and the river. A great place for a day trip.

[Hiking nine miles and eighteen miles, enjoy natural oxygen bar]
Hangzhou is a group building in the past, basically the West Lake, so this school sister decided to play something different ~ recommended stay On the mountain, you can enjoy the natural oxygen bar around you. Jiuxi 18 is one of the most typical ~
This is surrounded by streams and tea mountains. The trail is located between Longjing Village and Jiuxi Yanshu on the west side of Hangzhou West Lake. About 30 minutes, the difficulty is not big, both men and women are suitable for all ages - fresh air, birds and flowers, every visitor's face is written with a happy heart
[consumption] First of all, this is free of charge - public toilet resources are also in place. There are many tea houses and farmhouse restaurants outside the scenic spot, and the price is within reasonable limits.
[Go to way]
1. Walk. If you are staying at a nearby hotel or homestay, you can walk to it.
2. Self-driving/taking a taxi. There are parking lots in Jiuxi Yanchang and Longjing Village, which can be driven by car or taxi.
3. Bus. There are also bus stops nearby, but there are fewer trains.
4. Bicycle. A lot of people have been riding bicycles along the way, which is also a good way. (We also saw the skateboarding, the young people are really very fun and creative, and there is a feeling that someone will step on a scooter or roller skating...)

.
📍Location: Jiuxi Bus Station
🚶♀️Walking route: Jiuxi Bus Station→Jiuxi Yanshu→Jiuxi Eighteen Streams→Shili Langdang→Longjing Village
🕐Total time for sightseeing + photography is about 3-4h, the route is gentle, suitable for all ages
📌For those who want to drive, you can park at Jiuxi Bus Station and then take a taxi from Longjing Village to Jiuxi Bus Station, but it is not recommended, as parking fees are somewhat expensive
.
✅Must-visit spots
1⃣️Jiuxi Eighteen Streams
Along the way, there will be many streams crossing the ancient path, surrounded by very large ancient trees and tea gardens, which are very fun
2⃣️Jiuxi Waterfall
In the middle section of the entire route, the waterfall is very beautiful and also great for taking pictures. If you can't find it, you can locate: Bajue Pavilion

.
✅Photography Tips
On this trip, I took a series of photos with the recently released Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition and was amazed.
1. 5x telephoto lens shooting, not only does it have a great sense of spatial compression, but the image quality is also very clear! As someone who has high standards for pictures, I am really satisfied~
2. Based on Lofic technology, even in complex lighting situations, shooting can retain the colors seen by the naked eye!
3. SLR-level eagle-eye camera paired with a 1200-point laser radar focusing system, focusing is fast and accurate, whether running or jumping, it can better capture every detail
4. Equipped with a 5600mAh second-generation Qinghai Lake battery, super long battery life, after shooting outside for a whole day, there is still plenty of battery left when you get home~

I was healed by hiking the most comfortable 3 routes in Hangzhou during spring!
As a semi-Hangzhou local, if you ask me what I love most about Hangzhou, I would answer 'I love the greenery everywhere in Hangzhou'🌿. Spring in Hangzhou is not just about West Lake; these tea mountain and stream hiking trails truly represent Hangzhou's 'spring mountain climbing'🌳. Compared to West Lake, I prefer these❸ less crowded, eye-protecting, and lung-nourishing spring hiking routes, which are comfortable and healing~1️⃣Tea Museum—Shang Maojiabu—Feilai Peak Sculptures—Lingyin Temple⏱️Tour Duration: 4-5 hours Walking from the tea garden closest to West Lake all the way to Lingyin Temple, isn't this a kind of off-peak travel method?~ In Shang Maojiabu tea garden, there is also a lonely big tree, which probably 99% of Hangzhou people don't know about🌳2️⃣Jiuxi Smoke Trees—Jiuxi Eighteen Streams—Longjing Village—Ten-mile Langdang—Yunqi Bamboo Path—Meiling South Road⏱️Tour Duration: 5-6 hours Hangzhou's most classic spring and summer hiking route, the whole journey is quite long, and you can plan the trip according to your own physical strength. The Jiuxi section is more suitable for beginner hikers, with streams, tea gardens, and ancient trees🌲 all the way, making it very comfortable to walk~ Ten-mile Langdang is relatively more tiring as it involves climbing, but the magnificent tea mountains are worth it~🌱 Yunqi Bamboo Path is like a fairy-tale secret realm, or just walk along Meiling South Road, the tea gardens by the road are also pleasing to the eye!3️⃣Changdai Village—Guangming Temple Reservoir—Longweiba Mountain Pond Reservoir⏱️Tour Duration: 3-4 hours Surrounded by tea mountains, there is a pool of clear water, such a beautiful scene is probably only found in Hangzhou!

Nine Considerate Tips for Traveling to Hangzhou During the May Day Holiday – Save this list!
1️⃣ During the May Day holiday, avoid visiting the West Lake area during the day as it's extremely crowded. It's recommended to go early in the morning when there are fewer people and the morning light is soft, which is great for photography. During the day, you can visit the areas around West Lake, such as Nine Creeks in Misty Forest, Yunqi Bamboo Pathway, and Longjing Tea Village. The scenery deeper in West Lake is more beautiful, the paths are quiet, it's not crowded, and you can listen to the sound of springs and the chirping of birds and cicadas, gaze at the vast tea plantations, savor the fragrance of Longjing tea, and enjoy a lovely time walking or cycling.
2️⃣ You can take a bus directly to Nine Creeks in Misty Forest and start hiking up the mountain. Take the bus down from Longjing Village, or you can walk all the way up, which takes about four to five hours round trip. We once rode bikes from Leifeng Pagoda all the way up, and halfway, we had to push our bikes for a bit. Going downhill was like lightning with continuous braking, and it only took 20 minutes to get back to Leifeng Pagoda, haha.
3️⃣ If it's a sunny day, don't miss the sunset over West Lake; it's incredibly beautiful. The tourist boats and painted boats on the lake are dyed red by the sunset, resembling an oil painting. You can bargain for the price of a manually rowed boat, and in the evening, you can cut the price in half, which is much cheaper than in the morning.
4️⃣ For internet-famous streets like Hefang Street, it's best to casually stroll around in the evening or early morning. It's not a big deal if you don't go, as it's commercialized and crowded, making it less comfortable to visit. Instead, I recommend visiting old streets like Wuliu Lane, Chengtou Lane, Dama Lane, and Shiwuku Lane to see Hangzhou's old buildings, full of local life and authentic local snacks, which are especially wonderful.
5️⃣ The scallion pancakes in Dama Lane cost five yuan each, which is much more authentic than the internet-famous ones that cost ten or twenty yuan. The Bao Mei pastries in Chengtou Lane, Pian Er Chuan, water-fried buns, wontons, and tofu pudding from time-honored brands cost only a few yuan and are delicious. Su Qin's home-cooked dishes like white-cut chicken and braised bamboo shoots are authentic Hangzhou cuisine, and you can get several dishes for just a few dozen yuan, which is tasty and a great value. The green dumplings, osmanthus cakes, and zongzi in Shiwuku Lane are so good that they make my mouth water just thinking about them.
6️⃣ As for accommodation, it depends on your budget. If you're looking for something nicer, you can stay near West Lake at places like Dahua or Xinxin. If you want to visit Lingyin Temple, you can stay nearby. In the city center, I recommend Zancheng Hotel, an old brand, which is convenient for eating, playing, and taking public transport. Additionally, Hupao is a great location for a holiday, quiet and elegant, with an excellent surrounding environment, suitable for friends who like peace and quiet.
7️⃣ When visiting Hangzhou during the holiday, especially if it's your first time, don't go to the internet-famous shops. You won't get the essence of Hangzhou's cuisine, which is all in the residential areas. Just wander around the residential areas, and you can't go wrong with inconspicuous shops with many locals sitting inside. There are no price traps, so go ahead and eat boldly. For a big meal, you can choose famous time-honored brands like Ziyi Hall, Jinsha Hall of Four Seasons, Xin Rong Ji, or more ordinary places like Xin Bailu and Grandma's Home.
8️⃣ Hangzhou's pastries are also very good, suitable for personal enjoyment or as gifts for friends and family. Zhi Wei Guan, Cai Zhi Zhai, and Nan Song Hu Ji are all good choices, with a wide variety, and quality assurance. I've bought from them many times and have rarely been disappointed.
9️⃣ A special reminder for those coming to Hangzhou during May Day: do not drive to the scenic spots. Do not drive, do not drive, as parking is very hard to find. By the time you find a parking spot, it might be two hours later. It's recommended to take a taxi or the subway. You can drive in the suburbs, but it's highly discouraged to drive to urban scenic spots.

West Lake Cultural Square
I believe that the Chinese Scholar Tree is scenic all year round, but it is uniquely beautiful in autumn.

Hiking through the Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies
Upon arriving at Hangzhou East, take the subway Line 1 to transfer to Line 3 to reach the Huanglong Sports Center Station Exit F, have a KFC breakfast, and there's also a Luckin Coffee nearby, which is less crowded.
Special attention: Originally planned to take a taxi from Huanglong Sports Center to Longjing Village, but due to road control, online car-hailing is not allowed in the large area around West Lake, and taking the bus would also be very congested, so we chose to ride bicycles. It takes about 40 minutes to reach Longjing Village, and during the ride, we passed by Maojiabu and unexpectedly enjoyed beautiful scenery. After passing Maojiabu, you can wait for the bus at the bus stop sign on the road to 'Longjing Tea House Station'. The remaining section of the road is not congested and is uphill, so it is recommended to take the bus.
Our route was from Longjing Village → Ten Li Langdang to Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies → Nine Creeks Smoke Trees → Nine Creeks Bus Station. Since it is a reverse route, going against the flow of people, it's less strenuous and more comfortable, and the scenery is still enjoyable. You can search for other bloggers' detailed route map posts.
We rode and played along the way, moving slowly, arriving at Longjing Village around 11:30 am, then walked inside to find a wonton shop with a signboard, had wontons for 20 yuan a serving, finished eating around 12:30 pm, and started the official journey.
The part from Longjing Village to Nine Creeks Smoke Trees, which is the waterfall as the endpoint, took about 1h, playing with water and taking photos along the way, mostly on flat roads.
Upon reaching Nine Creeks Smoke Trees, we took a sightseeing car to Nine Creeks Bus Station, the ticket cost 8 yuan, and if walking, it would take about half an hour. After arriving at the bus hub of Nine Creeks Bus Station, cross the road to take bus No. 308, ride for two stops to Haiyue Bridge Bus Station, then take subway Line 4, and in about half an hour, you'll be back at Hangzhou East.
What to note is that the weather has become hotter, so be prepared for sun protection, and it's more comfortable to travel on cloudy and light rainy days; also, the entire route of Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies is basically paved with stones, which can be uncomfortable, so it's best to wear thick-soled, soft-soled sports shoes.

The most eye-protecting hiking route in Hangzhou
Spring is of course the time to go hiking outdoors.🌿
This Longjing Village, famous for its well tea,
Is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with West Lake on the other, and tea gardens wrapped in forests.
The vegetation in Longjing Village is lush, with all the tea gardens on the slopes.
Compared to Meijiawu and Longwu tea gardens,
Longjing Village has a more unique location and culture.
The 18 imperial Longjing trees from the Qianlong era are located here.
You can follow the steps of the tea garden up the mountain,
And see rows and rows of tea fields at a glance.
Early April is the most beautiful tea picking season, but it is not recommended to buy tea here.
·
Highly recommend this hiking route: Jiu Xi Bus Station → Jiu Xi Yan Shu → Jiu Xi Shi Ba Jian → Longjing Village → Longjing Wen Cha → Shi Li Lang Dang → Yunqi Bamboo Pathway → Meijiawu
·
✅ The whole journey takes about 5 hours, easy and not tiring, a super classic hike in Hangzhou.
·
✅ One of the routes, where you can experience the charm of the West Lake mountains.
🚙 Self-driving: Navigate to Jiu Xi parking lot.
🚌 Bus: Take the bus to Longjing Tea House or Jiu Xi bus station (need to pass through Jiu Xi), walk inside from the Longjing Village archway, after seeing the 'Shi Li Lang Dang' sign, go up the steps and you will see a large expanse of tea fields.

The best viewing period for the Nine Creeks in Misty Forest has arrived
Nine Creeks is connected to Longjing in the north and runs through the Qiantang River in the south. It originates from the Yangmei Ridge of Wengjia Mountain, and along the way, it merges with Qingwan, Hongfa, Tangjia, Xiaokang, Foshi, Baizhang, Yunqi, Qingtou, and Fangjia, the nine creeks, winding and hidden, flowing into the Qiantang River. The Eighteen Streams refer to the many small streams, with flowing springs. In fact, both Nine Creeks and Eighteen Streams are metaphorical. Along the way in the mountains, there are overlapping peaks, scattered tea gardens, winding paths, flowing water, and chirping birds. The scenery is beautiful on sunny days, and the mist is floating on cloudy days.
There is a poem:
The spring silkworm spins silk, the Lion Peak weaves, the mist flows, the face is wet, the sky light and cloud shadow run in the green river, the tender buds raise their tongues, the tea flowers are late, the thousand gullies and ten thousand ravines are eighteen streams, the overlapping peaks fall into nine creeks; singing all the way into the Qiantang water, the Nine Creeks in Misty Forest is known to the world.
***Note
For the first time hiking, you must walk on the Li'an Temple side, where the stream is gurgling, the water fir is on the side, standing in the fallen leaves, letting the sunlight sprinkle down, the artistic conception is quite good. The Longjing side is slightly inferior.
***Different angles
Look back more, you will find the scenery that few people pay attention to, people are busy taking pictures of the maple trees in front, but few people pay attention here.

Red leaves and yellow flowers signify the late autumn
December is the season for appreciating maple leaves. The recent sunshine is just right. Go to Jiuxi early in the morning, and there will be a white mist on the water surface. Coupled with the light of the low-angle sun in the early morning, this is probably the origin of the name 'Smoke Trees' in Jiuxi.

It is also the most beautiful place to walk in Hangzhou in December
People say that its appearance and posture
Just like the sense of belonging to nature when we were students
Its name, we call it Jiuxi
-
✨The best niche walking route in Jiuxi
Jiuxi (Yanshu)→Jiuxi (Eighteen Streams)→Longjing Village (Light Hiking←→Advanced Version)→Ten Li Langdang
1⃣️This is the easiest hiking route in Jiuxi, you can basically see several iconic check-in points of Jiuxi, and the round trip takes about 1-2 hours.
2⃣️If you have enough physical strength, you can also consider continuing to walk upwards, walk to Yangmeiling➡️Manjuelong or directly to Longjing Village. The scenery will be more open and shocking, but the premise is that you also need to have plenty of time.

In this early winter, Jiuxi Yanshu is like a colorful scroll, brimming with the enthusiasm of autumn. 🍂🍁
Walking on the path by the stream, the ground is covered with golden leaves, as if walking on an orange-red carpet. 🍁
The rapid stream is accompanied by the leaves of the smoke tree revealing various brilliant colors, red, orange, yellow, reflecting each other, poetic and picturesque. 🎨

3️⃣Tea Garden
There are many green tea leaves here, and there will be lonely ginkgo and maple trees in some places in the tea garden, which are very poetic against the green tea leaves
4️⃣Internet celebrity tree
Two very vigorous tree roots, unrelated to autumn colors, but very popular.

The magnificent Yunqi Bamboo Path + Nine Creeks in Misty Forest
Today's mountain climbing chose two points: Yunqi Bamboo Path and Nine Creeks in Misty Forest , these two points are actually quite close, and there are now buses available, very convenient, no need to worry about no car back to Hangzhou city area.
Yunqi Bamboo Path:
Ticket: 8 yuan
Yunqi Bamboo Path is one of the most representative bamboo seas in Hangzhou, with many bamboos inside and good air. It's just right to go this season, with clear autumn skies . It is recommended to go early, because there are fewer people in the morning, and you can climb the mountain to watch the sunrise . If you go in the evening, the scenery is also very good, you can climb to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset, which has a unique flavor.
Nine Creeks in Misty Forest:
Ticket: Free
Nine Creeks in Misty Forest is one of the famous scenic spots in Hangzhou, because there are many tea gardens and streams here, so the scenery is very beautiful. It's just right to go this season, you can see the autumn scenery , and there are not many people, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery to your heart's content. If you like drinking tea, you can also taste the authentic Longjing tea at the nearby tea farmers.
Overall, today's mountain climbing has gained a lot , not only exercised the body, but also enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Although it's a bit tired, it's very worthwhile. It is recommended to choose a time with good air and high visibility for mountain climbing, otherwise you can't see anything in the fog; remember to watch a beautiful sunset at the top of the mountain; drones with long focal lengths are very photogenic.
