Who would believe this is Taiziwan Park in December
📍《Taiziwan Park》
The vibrant colors of early winter~ Romantic and warm-hearted~
In the beautiful city of Hangzhou, there is a place that intoxicates people, and it is Taiziwan Park. Located in the southwest corner of West Lake, this park is famous for its romantic feelings and brilliant flower scenes. No matter when you come, Taiziwan Park can bring you different surprises in four seasons, allowing you to immerse yourself in the embrace of nature.
The most beautiful seasons in Taiziwan are undoubtedly spring and autumn. There are blooming cherry blossoms and tulips in spring, colorful forests and red leaves in autumn, and the winter in Taiziwan is also unique. From the color change of the plane trees, to the yellow ginkgo, from the red maple all over the sky, to the golden Taxodium.
The fir leaves at the entrance of the park gradually fall under the breeze, and the water surface is covered with a layer of golden pine leaves, which is as beautiful as a fairy tale world.
There is a combination of evergreen trees and dead trees in the park, and the color is particularly layered. Although it lacks the red and green interlacing, it is even more stunning. There is also a mountain spring from Yuhuang Mountain. The stream in winter is particularly clear, a golden reflection, just like a flowing picture scroll, vividly showing the beauty and tranquility of nature.
A gust of wind blows, and the leaves dance, like a free-falling elf, enjoying the pleasure of freedom in the air. The trouble-free tree, also known as the golden tree, is not in vain.
The soft afternoon light, slowly shooting between the bright red maple leaves, transparent texture, blurred light and shadow, starlight mottled!
Listen to the rustling of the leaves in the wind, watch the stream slowly flowing,
Occasionally, you will encounter a few bold birds, take a few light jumps on the ground and fly elsewhere. I will sit on the wooden chair,
I will also lie on the grass with my head up to look at the trees and the sky,
To feel that dazzling and warm light,
Listen to the praise of others and yourself for the beautiful scenery!
Where is the next destination? Then take your lover and set off first, come on! Feel the romance of Taiziwan Park in early winter!
The Prince Bay in West Lake during autumn, how can it be ten times more beautiful than spring?
Have you been enchanted by the maple leaves here in Prince Bay in autumn? I just came back from there, and I was really shocked by the beautiful scenery!
About the maple leaf season, the time when the maple leaves are red to the extreme has not yet arrived, only a very few trees on the shady side are completely red. But there is no light under the tree, the color tone is too dark. I personally prefer the current maple leaves of green, yellow and orange, which are colorful under the sun. Plus, the water quality in Prince Bay is very good, it is blue-green, and there is a cool color in the warm color of the maple leaves, which is too great. Maple leaf viewing date prediction: In the recent week, the green is gradually less, and most of the maple leaves turn from yellow to orange. In the next week, the maple leaves are almost yellow, and the orange tone is enhanced. In mid-December, the maple leaves enter the orange-red stage, and they are about to be completely red. Maple leaf viewing time: 7-9 am, there will be morning mist in Prince Bay. 14-16 in the afternoon, the afternoon sun is very gentle. My pictures were taken around 3 pm. It's best to come on non-weekends. My highly recommended West Lake maple leaf viewing route: Quyuan Fenghe-Sudi (there is a colorful maple tree) or Guozhuang (park card is free)-Huagang Guanyu-Prince Bay-Hupao Park. In addition, there are Jiuxi and Meiling South Road, which are a bit far apart and not very convenient. You can go there when you have time.
90% of people who visit Hangzhou will miss this place
When people think of traveling to Hangzhou, the first thing that comes to mind is West Lake, but there is such a hidden niche attraction near West Lake, which is the Prince Bay Park in Hangzhou. Although it is very close to West Lake, many people will ignore it~ Only when you enter here will you understand what is truly picturesque. It's really too beautiful! Especially the scenery is best at 3-4 pm.

octavia_serenemorgenstern The stunning autumn scenery of West Lake is in Taiziwan
🍁 The first wave of maple leaves in Hangzhou has quietly turned red in Taiziwan Park. Don't miss this beautiful park when you come to West Lake to enjoy the autumn.
📍Location: West Lake Taiziwan Park, Hangzhou
🚶🏻Route: West Gate ➡️ Small Church ➡️ Fanghuai Pavilion ➡️ Youran Pavilion ➡️ Big Windmill ➡️ North Gate
⚠️Small tips:
It takes about 1-1.5 hours to stroll and take photos. It's best to go in the morning when there are fewer tourists and the light is softer.
The most beautiful tree is just a few dozen meters from the west gate, and then near the Fanghuai Pavilion, where you can also take some backlit shots of the red maples.
The metasequoia near the big windmill has also turned golden.
To avoid crowds of people getting into your photo, crouch down and aim the lens up to the sky or down to the flowers, increase the foreground to cover up tourists in the background, and use a large aperture (like on a mobile phone lens) to blur peripheral objects and focus on the center. While the park is free to enter, it's advised that you book online to avoid waiting.
Wow! Hangzhou in April, I was really amazed by this lakewalk route!
This spring, I embarked on a journey to Hangzhou and instantly understood why everyone says this place is a stunning beauty in springtime! 💕💖
If you also plan to come to Hangzhou in the spring, take my advice, you must take this less-traveled lakeside walking route! 🚶♀🚶♂ Starting from Prince Bay Park, passing through Bathing Tiger Bay, Turtle Pool, Maojiabu, and finally reaching Quyuan Fenghe, it's simply too beautiful!
On this path, you don't have to worry about the crowds at all, just the tranquil beauty of blooming flowers and willows, birds chirping and fragrant flowers, it's truly a springtime healing elixir! 🌿🍃🌸
The more you walk, the more you discover that the west side of West Lake hides many little-known paradises! It's truly an urbanite's spiritual refuge, instantly recharging you to the full! 🔋✨
Here's a warm tip! 💡
The whole journey is about 4KM, walking and taking photos, you can definitely spend half a day, and your friends' circle will be filled with your beautiful photos! 📸
Moreover, you can tour these scenic spots by rowing boat! Sitting on the boat, feeling the rippling blue waves and the lake breeze, it's simply a fairyland on earth! 🛶🌊
It's also fine to walk this route in reverse, and there are buses available between each stop, super convenient! 🚌
I sincerely hope that everyone who comes to Hangzhou can experience the most beautiful spring! 🌸💕 Let's all feel the romance and beauty of this spring together! 🎉🎊
Just came back from Taiziwan, it's all big truths, watch and then go!
❤️Recommendation reasons:
The tulips have really bloomed! But only thirty percent!
The most spectacular patch is still seedlings🌱
If you're not in a hurry, you can wait a bit longer, it is expected to take another 1-2 weeks to reach the peak!
The weather has warmed up recently, and the tulips🌷 change every day
I still prefer them when they are about to bloom
By the time they are in full bloom, they are not far from withering
The area by the lakeside plank road is blooming the best right now!
The 2 cherry blossom trees🌸 next to the big windmill have also bloomed, super beautiful
After watching, it's recommended to go to Maojiabu for a stroll, a huge sea of February orchid flowers
🗓Itinerary:
Route: Taiziwan Park (see tulips, pink cherry blossoms) → Flower Harbor to see fish (see magnolia flowers, exit from the east gate) → Bapanling Road-Santaishan Road → Maojiabu (see February orchids)
Location: Taiziwan Park (enter from the west gate)

Hangzhou | Do not let down the spring
🌷 It's the tulip season again 🌷
✨ I made a trip to Hangzhou in April, just in time for the tulip bloom. To avoid any regrets, I rushed to visit a grand tulip festival before heading back.
Tulips at Prince Bay Park Hangzhou🌷❤️🇨🇳
#cherryblossom2024 🌸
Wake up at 8 o'clock: Ten thousand steps back. Speaking of this broken class, it's necessary to go to work. Wake up at 6 o'clock: I must take the climbing jar from Taizi Bay today. Taizi Bay Spring Limited Romantic Tulip String Ocean Phone.
I left Taizi Bay to take photos of tulips. Today, the people in Taizi Bay, who are eight in the morning, still prefer to spend more time in the morning. There will be fewer people in the morning than at noon/afternoon. Even so, there are still many large tulips on the road to the west gate that haven't been opened yet. I will probably finish it next week. Anyway, the skewers are really beautiful. No matter how you shoot them, they will be released from the film store

The rainy weather at Prince Bay has its unique charm, creating a very poetic atmosphere!
Spring at Prince Bay is like Monet's garden, always overcrowded. When the weather is nice, it's really too crowded!
Compared to the sunny Prince Bay, I prefer to enjoy the quiet park all to myself on rainy days. Sitting on the long benches, listening to the rustling sound of raindrops colliding with leaves, watching the ripples spread across the lake

Hangzhou Early Spring | The latest flower report from Prince Bay
March in West Lake, as the "top" event in Hangzhou's spring flower viewing circle, many people are wondering whether the tulips in Prince Bay have bloomed. So, on the morning of March 2nd, I went to Prince Bay Park to bring everyone the latest flower forecast.
Every year, Prince Bay hosts a tulip exhibition, and this year is no exception. There are still 400,000 tulips, covering an area of about 8,000 square meters. The planting areas include Wangshanping, Xiaoyao Slope, Youran Pavilion, Rose Garden, Hand-in-Hand Statue Area, and both sides of the main river bay. In addition to tulips, there are also daffodils, grape hyacinths, silver lotus flowers, and other varieties. When the cherry blossoms, magnolias, and crabapple flowers bloom, Prince Bay Park in spring will be a representative of a blooming paradise.
Before eight o'clock in the morning, entering from the west gate of the park and walking along the hillside towards Xiaoyao Slope, the sunlight sprinkles on the mountain forest lawn. It's rare for the park to have such a peaceful and leisurely moment. On an open space next to the small church, where premium tulips are planted, I found that only a small patch resembling daffodils had bloomed, the rest were still lush green. After a careful search, I finally saw a few purple Ali's flower buds on the edge of the steps, adding other colors to this green area.
Near the Youran Pavilion, the lake water is so clear that you can see the underwater grass. The newly sprouted willow branches hang down finely, and the reflection of the scenery also fully displays the beauty of the park. Looking towards the South Mountain Road side, the cherry blossoms by the water have not yet budded, but the metasequoias are tall and straight, and the lawn is emerald green. The scenery of spring has quietly arrived, and one can imagine how stunning the cherry blossoms will be when they bloom.
Coming to Xiaoyao Slope, this is the area with the largest planting of tulips. Not only is it empty, but in the entire green area, not a hint of color can be seen. The most vivid color in the park is still a plum tree next to Qingyin Pavilion, full of red, showing joy amidst the cold.
However, what surprised me was that next to the big windmill, I actually saw two pink cherry trees in bloom. The scientific name is 'Campanula Cherry'. This cherry tree is native to China and blooms in early spring. The flowers are pink and dense, known as 'Early Beauty' and 'Spring Herald Cherry'. Although it has not yet reached the peak blooming period, the romance blooming under the blue sky is also a symbol of West Lake's early spring.
👉🏾Prince Bay Flower Viewing Check-in Strategy
1⃣️This year, the temperature in Hangzhou is lower than usual, and the tulips have not yet come into season by early March. It is expected that the viewing period will start around March 10th, and the best viewing period (cherry blossoms and tulips together) will be in mid to late March, which is from March 15-25.
2⃣️Prince Bay Park is free of charge, and there is no need to make a reservation usually. However, reservations are required during the flower exhibition period, which can be made through the official WeChat account of 'Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area'. If it's really impossible to make a reservation, you can enter before 8:00 or after 17:00. For those who wish to take photos and check in, around 7:30 in the morning is the best time.
3⃣️The nearest bus stops are 'Sudi' and 'Chishanbu'. If taking the subway, you can get off at 'Wushan Square' on Line 7 or 'Ding'an Bridge' on Line 1, and then ride a bike to get there, which takes about half an hour. It is not recommended to take the bus during the peak season, as the roads are too congested.
I thought West Lake was beautiful, until I went here
Recently went to the West Lake scenic area, it really was crowded. Having lived in Hangzhou for 14 years
I want to say that the beauty of Hangzhou is far more than just West Lake
There are various large and small free scenic spots
It really is the ceiling of domestic travel!
-
I've organized 13 places suitable for spring visits, all very much like a green wonderland

5️⃣ Maojiabu

1️⃣3️⃣ Liulang Wenying
Navigate to "Xin Henghe Bridge", the green wonderland under the bridge arch, an absolutely beautiful photo spot.
I thought West Lake was already beautiful enough, but it wasn't until a rainy day that I set foot in Prince Bay
Only then did I realize that Hangzhou in spring has even more surprises! 🌧️
"The wind and rain send spring away," and Hangzhou's spring is always accompanied by the drizzling spring rain. Perhaps many people don't like rainy days, but I find the West Lake in the rain to have a unique charm. People often say "Sunny West Lake is not as good as rainy West Lake," and the West Lake in the rain seems to be shrouded in a mysterious veil, adding a touch of poetry in its haziness, like an ink painting that moves one's soul. ☔️
Another reason I love rainy days is that there are fewer people out and about when I go out to take photos, allowing me to better appreciate the beauty. I don't like crowded places; even if the scenery is beautiful, it loses some of its charm. Prince Bay in the rain appears peaceful and serene, without the noise of tourists, only the babbling of the water accompanied by the chirping of birds. Cherry blossoms dot the white, distant trees are dressed in tender green, yellow daffodils embellish the shore, like an oil painting. The water near the shore reflects the tulips on the bank, and the dim blue-toned sky is filled with a faint mist, all of which seems to transport me into a dreamlike Monet's garden, finally finding the right way to experience Prince Bay in spring. 🌸

⛴️Boat: There is a special flower-viewing boat line, you can take a boat directly to Taiziwan Park from Quyuanfenghe or Qianwangci pier to avoid traffic congestion
📸Photography/Flower viewing tips
▪️Try to go as early as possible, the earlier the better, and if the weather is good, there will be many people by six or seven in the morning (p.s. No reservation is needed for entry before 8 am)
▪️Prefer weekdays, don't even think about weekends, it's especially crowded
▪️When taking photos, avoid the crowd by choosing a low angle or close-up shots
▪️The north gate is crowded and has long queues, so you can enter from the west gate, which is less crowded
🅾️Recommended tour route

‼️ All the following spots are free to visit😜!
1️⃣ Quyuan Fenghe🌺
This is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing by the West Lake, where the cherry blossoms and ancient architectural pavilions complement each other, making you feel as if you've traveled back in time to the beautiful spring of the Jiangnan region😍.
2️⃣ Maojiabu🎋
This is a lesser-known cherry blossom secret spot, accompanied by February orchids in spring👫. It's one of my personal favorites and definitely worth the visit🤩.
3️⃣ Children's Park🧒
The huge cherry trees on both sides of the entrance steps allow you to easily take photos with a Japanese style📷. Once you visit, you'll fall in love with this place💓.
4️⃣ Liangzhu Mansion Roof🕍
The night cherry blossom avenue under the blues is like a scene from a healing movie🎞. Walking hand in hand with your loved one here is incredibly romantic🥰.
5️⃣ Manao Temple🛕
A lesser-known spot by the West Lake, hiding a different kind of spring🌳. The cherry blossom rain I captured last year was breathtakingly beautiful😲.
6️⃣ Prince Bay Park🌷
As Hangzhou's springtime calling card, this place features a sea of tulips and cherry blossoms shining together🌷. To avoid the crowds, it's best to come early😯.
7️⃣ Tea Museum🍵
The cherry blossoms, thatched cottages, and flowing water here make up a beautiful picture🖼, even more beautiful than Kyoto😜!
8️⃣ Baita Park🗼
The perfect combination of trains and cherry blossoms is like passing through spring, where every casual snapshot is beautiful🤳. However, remember to choose a good weather day to visit🌞!
9️⃣ Turtle Pond🐢
The Turtle Pond in spring is like an oil painting🎨, with boats passing by, creating ripples, and cherry blossoms fluttering in the wind, a sight too beautiful for words🤩!
🔟 Yun Song Book House📚
Located by the West Lake, this lesser-known spot was the private residence of Mr. Jin Yong and is now open to the public for free🤝. Every step here reveals a unique and exquisite scene, with the cherry blossoms by the water being particularly moving💕.
📌 Tips for Visiting:
●The travel routes are not long, and it's convenient to take the bus or ride a bike🚌.
●Plan your visit in advance, and good weather will make it easier to take beautiful photos📸.
●Some spots have opening time restrictions, so remember to arrange your visit ahead of time🕒.
In Hangzhou, I found the ceiling of domestic free parks~
If you ask me in Hangzhou
What places are less crowded, beautiful, and worth revisiting,
I would definitely say first ✔️Prince Bay Park
Even when the West Lake is crowded with people~
This park remains beautifully on its own!
-
Prince Bay Park is beautiful not only in spring and autumn
On weekdays, there are no bustling tourists here
You can find a bench under a big tree🌲
Or sit in a corridor facing a screen full of maple leaves🌿
Sit on the stone bridge and watch the babbling brook🌊
-
📷tips:
1️⃣The route I took for photo-taking: Enter the park from the bus stop at Su Causeway, walk into the path of the bald cypress in Prince Bay, turn right to take photos of the lake boardwalk and boats (pic 6, pic 11), then go back and turn left to the Fanghuai Pavilion (pic 1, a beautiful courtyard landscape outside the corridor for photos!), standing in Fanghuai Pavilion you can see the big tree with benches that many people take photos of (pic 3), walk from the big tree to the You Ran Pavilion to reach the stone bridge (pic 2)
2️⃣It's very suitable to wear white or light-colored dresses for photo shoots here! Wear a straw hat👒 and bring a book~ Go to the bench under that big tree for photos, full of French pastoral style!
3️⃣The photos were all taken between 9-11 am! The light and shadow are beautiful~ and there are very few people, perfect for taking photos slowly~

📍Prince Bay Park
🚗Take the bus to Su Causeway bus stop, and walk into the park from the path behind the bus stop that leads through the bald cypress.
This small long holiday, there are a hundred million people at Hangzhou's West Lake
It's no exaggeration to say that this National Day, there really were a hundred million people by the West Lake, but the beauty of West Lake is also genuinely stunning. Just casually taking pictures can fill the atmosphere, as the saying goes, 'It's not Jiangnan without the rain.' Hangzhou's weather is also very cooperative, with a gentle breeze and a light drizzle. I'm thinking about setting up camp in Prince Bay Park, Prince Bay Park
Hangzhou in March and April is warm and picturesque
Every year, March and April are the most beautiful seasons in Hangzhou.
If you plan to visit Hangzhou in spring,
you can go to these 10 places for a walk, where you will find beautiful scenery and flowers everywhere, and you will feel happy all over.
1️⃣ Turtle Pool (March - Spring outing + late cherry blossoms)
A tranquil fairyland in West Lake, with clear water and boats passing by, the late cherry blossoms bloom just right, and it's not crowded.
2️⃣ Maojiabu (March - February orchid)
The February orchids bloom by the water.
3️⃣ Prince Bay Park (March - Tulips + Cherry Blossoms)
Large areas of tulips and cherry blossoms bloom, just like a painting by Monet. ⚠️ Tulip season requires advance reservation through the 'Palm West Lake' app, free of charge 🆓
4️⃣ Flower Harbor Viewing Fish (March - Cherry Blossoms)
It can be said to be the best place in Hangzhou to enjoy cherry blossoms, and taking pictures is really super beautiful.
👆🏻The above four spots are all part of West Lake, and you can plan a day trip according to the route I've posted before: Guo's Villa → Maojiabu → Turtle Pool → Flower Harbor Viewing Fish → Bathing Goose Bay → Prince Bay Park.
5️⃣ Faxi Temple (Mid-March - Magnolia)
Over 500 years old ancient magnolia flowers + ancient style temple, really so beautiful.
6️⃣ Xiaoshan, Xianghu (April - Hydrangea)
Large hydrangeas bloom, like a pure white dream in spring.
7️⃣ Yuhang, Jingshan Flower Sea (April - Corn Poppy)
Every year, corn poppies are planted all over the mountains around the central lake, and there is even a little train running through them.
8️⃣ Linping Park (April - Azaleas)
Azaleas bloom all over the park's hillside, especially dreamy.
9️⃣ Liangzhu Archaeological Site Park (April - Coreopsis & Evening Primrose)
Evening primrose, coreopsis, iris, and cosmos, the Liangzhu Archaeological Site Park at the end of spring and beginning of summer is as beautiful as a fairy tale.
1️⃣0️⃣ Yangbei Lake Park (Early April - Colored Rapeseed Flowers)
Various colors of rapeseed flowers form a sea of flowers.
.
⚠️ The last 5 are a bit far from the city center and require a taxi or self-driving, which is more convenient.
Having lived in Hangzhou for 7 years, my favorite route for a one-day spring tour around West Lake is as follows
Having lived in Hangzhou for 7 years, my favorite route for a one-day spring tour around West Lake is as follows.|||Because I love Hangzhou, I came here to settle down without any hesitation.
Time flies, and it's already been seven years.
Every spring, we must go on an incredibly beautiful and excellent spring outing route.
For friends visiting from other places, I also recommend this route to them.
After trying it, they all give it consistently high praise.

➡️Guo's Villa: A super beautiful southern garden, where you can experience the ancient charm of the Song Dynasty. The magnolias are blooming beautifully at this time.
➡️Maojiabu: This is Hangzhou's spring beauty and hidden green fairyland. It's quiet and peaceful, a place to feel the breath of spring.

➡️Bathing Tiger Spring: The Jihong Bridge passes through the lake water, very unique, and it's less crowded here.
➡️Prince Bay Park: This is a world of tulips, as beautiful as a Monet painting.
.
⏰The whole duration of this route is about 5 hours.
⚠️Before setting out, remember to prepare some snacks that children like to stave off hunger. They can eat them in the car when hungry or to replenish energy when tired.
⚠️Those with less physical strength can take their time. Even spending the whole day can be very rewarding.
⚠️During the tulip season at Prince Bay Park, it gets crowded, so remember to book in advance through the West Lake app.
📢Some necessary reminders:
1️⃣Where to take a taxi? I usually take the subway to Longxiang Bridge, then take a taxi to Quyuanfenghe or Guo's Villa. Of course, you can go in the opposite direction or to any of the stops in between.
2️⃣Is there a sightseeing bus?
There is no sightseeing bus for this route, you can only rely on walking. Therefore, the article specifically notes that those with less physical strength can consider reducing the itinerary. Walking tours can be physically demanding, so be sure to bring some food to replenish energy. I usually carry eggs, quail eggs, and roasted chicken wings. I keep some in the car and eat whenever I want. They are also convenient to carry during the tour.
3️⃣Is it already so beautiful recently?
Yes, from late March to mid-April, you can generally see such beautiful scenery, but the feeling on sunny days and on cloudy or rainy days is different. Hangzhou has been rainy recently, so please decide whether to go according to your own preferences.
4️⃣Can I ride a bike around?
Yes, but you can't take bicycles into individual scenic spots, you have to leave them at the entrance. You can push a stroller, but the distance is long, so it's not recommended.

At the end of March, the verdant Taiziwan is enchanting
At the end of March, Taiziwan, the number one popular park during Hangzhou's tulip season, remains a feast for the eyes. Compared to the middle of the month, the areas where tulips are in full bloom have changed, some flowers have altered their appearance since they first bloomed, and the daffodils have only left their stems, but the abundance of fresh greenery is particularly refreshing and pleasing to the eye.
Early in the morning around seven o'clock, there are few visitors entering the park, and the entrance is unattended, so there is no need to check reservation codes. Until around eight or nine o'clock, it's not as crowded as it was at its peak, making it especially suitable for photography.
