A fantastic house, nickel facilities and high-quality all in an old house restored with great care. The guest is a rare , gentle , very helpful bead and is able to make you care . The place is just magic. !!! Thank you for everything .

We’re a family travelling with 3 kids so we booked 2 corner rooms for the needed space. 1) We were given 2 corner rooms at opposite ends of the floor, so we had to walk up & down & up & down the corridor to pass stuff to one another, so that was a bit inconvenient. The hotel refused at first to give us a 2nd key card saying that only 1 is allowed. 2) The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy but the pillows were very flat, so we requested for more pillows but they still didn’t provide much support. There was an electric small leg massager in room. 3) The sink in the toilet was v low, so adults wld have to bend over a bit more. But bathing area & shower was spacious and comfortable. 4) Hotel location was right next to JR, and lots of food options so it was great as we didn’t do hotel breakfast. There is no drop off point for cars or taxis at the hotel as the hotel lobby is on 3rd floor of building. 5) We drove a 7 seater car(to accommodate luggages) so the roof was too high & had to be parked at a Times public carpark 2 mins away that we paid for. 6) All in all, a recommended hotel in Tokushima & we would return to stay again due to central location & shopping areas all reachable on foot.

The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived; staff met us at our car to handle our luggage immediately. For those driving, the ample parking and EV charging stations are a massive plus. The orientation was thorough, with the team explaining everything from onsen etiquette to the nuances of our dinner service. A truly high-end, evocative experience.

Smile Hotel Tokushima is a good choice for a short stay. The room is clean, simple, and easy to use, typical of a Japanese business hotel. It’s comfortable enough for resting after a long day. The breakfast is quite good, with a buffet style and a decent variety of options, including some local dishes, which makes it more enjoyable than a typical business hotel breakfast. The location is very convenient, just a few minutes from Tokushima Station. Overall, it offers good value for money, though the room is a bit small and facilities are basic.

It is an unmanned place, but it is a method of calling the staff by the phone placed at the desk and finding the key in the room reserved in the keybox. The staff only speaks basic English, so you should prepare a measure to communicate in Japanese. Early check-in and spacious rooms and bathrooms are hard to find in Japan. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong and the hot water comes out well. It's equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator. But the mattress on the bed was dead with all the cushions. If you go to Tokushima, I'll find this place again.

Overall, it's pretty good. The location is excellent with many shops and restaurants nearby, plus a convenience store right downstairs. The front desk offers free facial masks. The rooftop onsen uses natural hot spring water. My only complaint is that the room is a bit small.

A very pleasant stay! The service was friendly and polite, and the small cable car onsen was a unique experience! The private bath (charged price) is highly recommended; the environment is tranquil and spacious with excellent views! Taking the hotel's used car at night, listening to vintage Japanese songs, to the Mangqiao Bridge for the night view was a unique experience! The landlady was very kind and even sang a beautiful song during dinner! They quickly helped me send any forgotten items to my next hotel! Highly recommend staying here!!! This is even better than Wa-no-Yoku!

The Eleven Hotel Awa Ikeda Station Branch is very conveniently located, with JR Awa Ikeda Station and the tourist bus stop just downstairs—you could almost touch it. There's a shopping street downstairs, but it's often closed. There's a tourist information center next to the JR station. I stayed in a standard twin room with an en suite bathroom. It was spacious and well-equipped, with a large Japanese-style bathtub and a sliding door separating the toilet and shower. It was super clean. Pajamas were provided. The hotel has only a few staff members, but they were polite and friendly. When I checked in that evening, 15 minutes before closing time, the gentleman patiently assisted me. The continental breakfast was exquisite and delicious, and the soup and toast were the most memorable. It was absolutely delicious and not to be missed. There's a locker on the floor, but we didn't seem to use it. If you have a chance, please let me know if you do. Thank you.

Older style but everything is well maintained just like most Japan hotel. Nothing to complaint about, just sleep over for us. But I imagine it’s very convenient as it’s at the JR station, we drove so it makes no difference but nearby parking isn’t as expensive as JR station in more developed city. Food option is plentiful nearby though so that’s great for late night supper.

The front desk staff was very friendly and the parking lot was quite spacious with 7-Eleven across the street, so the location was good. The boat dock where you can see the whirlpools of Naruto Bridge is about 12 to 15 minutes away by car, and in my case, the whirlpools came out once at 9:00 and once at 9:30 the next morning, so I had to stay as close as possible. If the whirlpools come out in the afternoon, it doesn't matter, but if you come out early in the morning, this accommodation seems to be the best place to stay considering the time.
