All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly during my stay which added to the experience. The hotel is truly lovely and the setting is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the views from the rooms and bar were amazing but it’s the high level of customer service that makes me want to return and recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Wakefield.

Fabulous location so close to the train station and lots of shops, great coffee shops, places to eat and drink. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly and food and rinks in hotel reasonably priced and tasted lovely.

Have stayed several times when visiting family. Was disappointed this time not to have a fridge I had assumed all rooms had them and due to me booking later than normal I'd paid a higher rate than usual but got a shabbier room.I think they had changed the room I had booked as I'd booked a standard double but opened door up to a small room with a double and single bed set up. I didnt want my towels changing or room servicing but i witnessed reception staff constantly telling people they couldn't have there rooms serviced as they hadn't asked the day before and if you dont ask they dont go in to even change cups or empty bins. It hasn't put me off staying again.

I made the reservation at 12-07 arriving at about 3-15 - 3-30 and had requested an extra blanket but was told this was not possible because I had made the booking late and reception did not have any!! These are woodland cabins and I should have thought this would have been a common request and extra blankets readily available. The cabin was heated by a movable electric heater that took hours to warm the cabin. The doors closed with difficulty possibly because of repeated painting and there was paint over the metal handles. The outer door did not close from teh inside. There was no where to sit in the cabin and no free surface to set things as the only suitable surface, a desk, had a free standing TV on it. There was a wardrobe but it smelt fusty. The food was good but the service was slow because the restaurant seemed understaffed with teh barman helping as a waiter. The setting is beautiful and the staff are very pleasant. There is ample tea and coffee in teh room and a kettle.

The hotel it's self was brilliant and the location was fab . Got late check out witch again was great but the cleaning was not great BUT I did talk to the lady in the morning and she asked for the photos and flagged it straight away. This lady was fantastic but didn't get her name . The bed sheets where ALL inside out and the bottom sheet was not big enough so there was a 4” gap at the top of the bed witch was mattress protecter, this had a dirty mark on it that looked like blood . The whole room was dusty and the spoons for the cups where dirty and it looked like it had not been hooved . I didn't want to course a fuss as me and my daughter had a brilliant night and I didn't want to spoil it . It was flagged with management so I'm hoping they get in touch with me regarding this situation as obviously I did pay for a clean room .

It was a great place to visit, I enjoyed it so much. As the name was shown on the Television when u get in. Awesomeeeeeeee.. I would luv to go there again it was truly an amazing experience.

This was the best value-for-money hotel during my trip to the UK. The room was quite spacious for British standards, clean and tidy, and serviced daily. The facilities were excellent, and it's very close to the train station, just a 5-minute walk. If you're planning to visit the towns around Yorkshire, I highly recommend staying here; it's much cheaper than touristy cities like York, and taking the train is super convenient. There's a shopping mall right opposite the hotel, and all the attractions are within walking distance.

The hotel is brand new, and the room is incredibly spacious with no unpleasant odors. The smart climate control kept the temperature very comfortable. The bed was soft and the window was large, which really helped me shake off the fatigue from staying in some super old hotels in France. I definitely want to come back again! have stayed at The Queens a few times lovely hotel travelled for 10 hours yesterday was shattered had an early night hoping for a lie in before the next part of my journey began was woken up before 7am by children screaming up and down the corridor running between two adjacent rooms slaming doors this went on for an hour when i went out all I was greeted by was the mother saying ”children” I got up checked out early and went and sat in the train station, I did tell the reception desk.

Handy location for us to get to Garforth train station as we had a show to attend in York. Staff were lovely too! Partner enjoyed the swimming pool. Would stay again if ever in the area. Easy to find from the motorway as we're from out of town. Thanks for having us.
