悠長 旅遊 日記Hótel Grímsborgir is absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient, right next to the Golden Circle, making it easy to drive to all the attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and each one has its own private hot tub or a shared one. Soaking in the hot tub and stargazing at night is incredibly therapeutic~ The breakfast spread is varied and fresh, and the staff are all very enthusiastic. I definitely want to stay here again on my next trip to Iceland! Highly recommended for self-driving travelers looking to relax!

GGuest UserWe stayed at a hotel right next to Skógafoss, and you can drive directly into the Skógafoss parking lot, which makes access extremely convenient. We had two rooms with views of the mountains and the waterfall, which was truly special. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A useful note: the cold water in the room is safe for drinking, while the hot water comes from natural hot springs (which may have a slight sulfur smell, as is common in Iceland). Breakfast had a smaller selection, but the taste and quality were good. I would also recommend trying the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay—the food was quite enjoyable. We were fortunate to catch the northern lights on both nights. On the first night, there was a strong, dancing aurora (around KP 6–7 / G3 storm) right outside the hotel in the parking area. On the second night (around KP 3), I woke up in the middle of the night and was still able to capture it on my phone despite some light pollution from the hotel. One small thing to note is that the main entrance doors close after 11 PM, so we had to use the side entrance when returning late at night.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel was easy to find and had a large, convenient parking lot. The steak at dinner was delicious. Next to the hotel, there's a sweater specialty store with a good selection and reasonable prices, perfect for souvenirs.

GGuest UserWe have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

--Rechen-Hepburn is a very quiet town, so this hotel is quite good in comparison. It's an older-style hotel with no elevator, only stairs. By 7 or 8 PM, there were no supermarkets open for shopping. Overall, if I were to stay in the area again, I'd choose Wicke (assuming Wicke is another location/hotel name, otherwise it might be a typo for 'Wick' referring to a brand of essentials).

GGuest UserThe room was not soundproof at all, and I could clearly hear noise throughout the night. The entire room felt damp, especially the bedding. The blanket was noticeably moist, which caused me to have an allergic reaction. My skin became extremely itchy, and I barely got any sleep the whole night. This was a very uncomfortable experience, and I was extremely disappointed. I will definitely not stay here again.

BBarth 112Pretty nice and extremely kind reception people. I love them. As usual like other hotels in Iceland, you should take a ride to get here. The hotel room was big enough and there were 3 beds in the room although I'm staying by myself. I love the way how the room is formed. I had two doors, one led me to the yard side and the other one faced the other rooms as well as the reception. IDK this is the general rule but the shower pressure was horrible. It took more than 30 minutes to take a shower. Speaking of the Hot tub, it was pretty small and adorable. But if you have plans to visit either Blue Lagoon or Secret Lagoon, You'd better skip this Hot tub.

OOlgaWe stayed in this cabin for a one night and were very impressed by how comfortable and well equipped it was. The kitchenette had a microwave and a kettle to prepare simple meals, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The floor heating created a cozy atmosphere, especially in the mornings. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the sea, where the fresh air and views are breathtaking. One of the highlights was the many sheep grazing nearby, which gave the area a peaceful, countryside charm. It’s an ideal place to relax and recharge, highly recommended! No WiFi in the cabin available but in the lounge in the building nearby
