This was our second stay at the hotel, and the experience was just okay. The kids’ pool and city view were nice, but the service was poor. We had a frightening experience when we were stuck in the lift for 25–30 minutes. The lift seems old and not well maintained. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and ensures guest safety so others do not face the same situation. We also requested a small anniversary gesture—a heart towel design on the bed—a week before check-in, but it was not arranged due to a lack of staff. This was disappointing, as the request was made well in advance.
I understand that this is the largest hotel in Kuantan and it is imposing. They decorated enthusiastically for Christmas. The rooms are large enough with clean linens and a firm mattress. The location is great since it's across the road from the largest mall. The coffee lounge was satisfactory. The main problem area was that almost no one spoke basic English well enough to understand simple requests. They try and mean well but only a few could understand what I wanted. This was very frustrating. We stayed in this hotel three years ago as well, and there was not this problem at that time. Also, the safe in our room did not work.
The Chateau is a family friendly resort, it is also a great place for events like weddings or celebration.
When you arrive to the chateau, it feels as if you were in a fairy tale, castle in the woods. The condition and maintenance of the chateau is awesome, very cozy yet grand at the same time. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to their guests, providing top notch service. There are many different locations to explore and activities to do around the facilities, which make the stay a very eye opening and entertaining one. The room was beautiful, interior design to perfection, very comfy and clean, definitely had a good rest. The food provided at the chateau, one mouth watering meal, it definitely satisfied our taste buds.
Overall the experience at this hotel was fantastic, one that I would recommend to many. I would definitely come back again in the future.
Very old building, old facilities.. but overall still a good stay
1. The escalator was too old, it took at least 1min to get the door opened.. please upgrade a better lift
2. We stayed in Fushcia building, big room, with living room, dining area, a queen size bed, a dressing area, spacious bathroom, a bathtub - cost for RM290/night on a weekend. I feel is worthy. Given shampoo, shower gel, lotion, muji toothbrush and colgate toothpaste, shower cap, vanity kit and sanitary bag. Also, in the cupboard, there is laundry bag and slippers. Only the heater will automatically stop working after sometimes when we shower. Overall worth a 3/5 for me.
3. Talking about the activities, limited. No shows, no fun, no vibes. Suggest to revamp and reopen to attract more local tourists. Current situation is, most locals come for one day trip and foreign tourists only will choose to stay here. Without fun activities, there will not be much reputation built
Great location, easy parking. It's right next to Oldtown White Coffee, and just a short walk to Family Mart, Mr DIY, and Eco Shop... Also close to Bentong Farm. Excellent location 👍👍👍
Stayed at Club King room facing the sea, beautiful view. Check in was fast and was warmly welcome by reception staff. Enjoyed the club lounge high tea & dinner, special thanks to Hana and her intern for a remarkable service. Recommended resort for healing and even had the opportunity to shoot some faunas. Tasty & varieties of foods served during breakfast.
“We had a wonderful 2 days and 1 night stay at Ion Majestic Genting Highlands. The room was clean, comfortable, and the view was absolutely beautiful. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing and perfect for a short getaway.
We would like to express our special thanks to the hotel staff for the lovely room decoration prepared for our wedding anniversary. It was a very thoughtful and heartwarming surprise that made our stay even more memorable.
Thank you to all the staff for the great service, friendliness, and attention to detail. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again
Most of the thing is good but need to improve as 5 star hotel. Breakfast is ok but don't have so much foods. Cleaness should be better. Overall experience is great. For kids not have enough facilities and game and is a boring place.
Great stay for families.

MmangosellerI stayed at Crockfords Hotel Genting in early October 2025 and was genuinely disappointed by the level of service — especially for a hotel that claims to be Malaysia’s leading luxury property.
On 3 October, I approached the concierge Duty Manager around 9:40am regarding the hotel Wi-Fi, which kept showing an “invalid credentials” error. Instead of taking the initiative to verify the problem — which turned out to be something as simple as incorrect login details given at check-in — he insisted that the IT team would need to come into my room to fix it.
Later in the day, another staff member resolved the issue within minutes by simply checking the credentials. It’s baffling how the Duty Manager couldn’t do something that basic.
Throughout my stay, I also noticed that many of the staff seemed lost and unsure of how to handle simple situations — almost like the blind leading the blind. There was a clear lack of coordination and communication among them.
The breakfast experience was another major letdown. I had breakfast there for three consecutive days, and throughout, the food was never hot — the noodles in soup were the only consistently warm item served. To make matters worse, the staff did not communicate properly among themselves. On one morning, we were told to wait while a table by the window was being cleared for us. After waiting a good five minutes, another group of guests was allowed to take the exact table we were waiting for. The explanation given was simply that “the other guests wanted the table.” Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre.
The only saving grace was the Duty Manager working on 5 Oct and overseeing the breakfast buffet, who was attentive, proactive, and took the initiative to check if guests needed drinks or assistance. His professionalism truly stood out amidst the confusion elsewhere.
For a hotel that boasts winning the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Award seven years in a row, this experience was frankly a joke. The gap between Crockfords’ reputation and its actual service standards is staggering.
Truly disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a so-called luxury hotel.
PS: At least the view was great.
GGuest UserWe had a great stay at Swiss-Garden Hotel Genting Highlands with our 6 year old. The room was very spacious and super clean, which made travelling as a family much more comfortable. Everything felt well maintained and tidy.
The rooftop swimming pool was a lovely bonus — clean, relaxing, and a great spot for our child to enjoy while we took in the views. The hotel had a calm, family-friendly vibe, perfect for a short getaway.
Overall, a comfortable and clean hotel that works really well for families with young children. We’d happily stay here again!
GGuest UserFunction la sb walking distance dgn kea farm and sheep santuary. Plus kita dh kt atas pagi2x lg, so x hadap jem sgt. Tp parking kalau mlm full. Boleh je parking memana lepas tu. Ubat gigi berus gigi kena request. Overall menang kt location. Yg lain so2x je..yang penting xde la scary and berhantu mcm kome duk ckp. Lol....cleanliness boleh la improve lg sb cadar pon ad stain
GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is a bit old, it offers great value for money. The beach is beautiful, the environment is relaxing, and everything is clean and well maintained. I truly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back again!”
GGuest UserRoom suit for 2 pax.
Toilet and shower seperated.
If u have more than 2 luggages the room quite small
So far the room just ok for me 1 pax and the nearest
to all amenities up at the genting. Im travelling and staying here because of the Prudential event. I find it very convenient to stay here. My 2nd time staying here for both occasion.
GGuest UserBook a 3 bedroom (6days 5nite)
Everything is new.
Amenities can b accept.
Walking distance 15-20mins to genting 1st world,
But is very tired.
Cos the connected bridge some is steep.
Cum with elderly with wheel chair.
I will not recommend this condo (with elderly)
After 1 time walking.
The rest of the day we order grab (taxi) 2 way
Going up 1st world (rm 5 - 10)
Going back (rm 20-35)
The condo room is the same as what they advertise .
蚯蚯蚓妹The water dispenser was broken and completely unusable. However, I preferred the room facilities here compared to a 'first world' experience. The price was reasonable, and they provided slippers and toothbrushes. The room was cleaned daily. I would still highly recommend it.
GGuest UserThis is our 3rd time booking for this hotel. Unfortunately, we are not so pleased this time. Lift at Tower was not working well during check out time which was very stressful as many people need to use during that time. Only one lift is working out of the 4 lifts. We ended up using the cargo lift.. Housekeeping did not clean our room on day 2.
TTaogehWe had a wonderful stay at Cameron Highland Resort. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight – everything is freshly cooked to order from the menu, so the food came hot and delicious. Truly a delightful experience, and we will definitely visit again!
