This was our second stay at the hotel, and the experience was just okay. The kids’ pool and city view were nice, but the service was poor. We had a frightening experience when we were stuck in the lift for 25–30 minutes. The lift seems old and not well maintained. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and ensures guest safety so others do not face the same situation. We also requested a small anniversary gesture—a heart towel design on the bed—a week before check-in, but it was not arranged due to a lack of staff. This was disappointing, as the request was made well in advance.
I had the opportunity to stay at Zenith Kuantan, and overall, it offers a comfortable and pleasant experience suitable for all types of travellers, especially families.
🧼 Cleanliness – 4/5 (Good)
The rooms and hotel areas are well-maintained, clean, and tidy. Although there is some room for minor improvements, the overall cleanliness standard is still solid and comfortable.
📍 Location – 5/5 (Excellent)
The hotel’s location is its biggest strength. Situated in a strategic area close to the city centre, shopping malls, and plenty of dining options, it’s perfect for guests who want easy access to various attractions and amenities.
👨💼 Service – 4/5 (Good)
The hotel staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Check-in and check-out processes are smooth. While response times could be slightly improved, the overall service quality is good and satisfactory.
🏊♂️ Amenities – 4/5 (Good)
The facilities—including the swimming pool, gym, and other amenities—are in good condition and well-maintained. Families will appreciate the available features. Still, there is some potential for upgrades to enhance the overall experience.

🎯 Overall Verdict
Zenith Kuantan is a solid hotel choice with an excellent location, good service, and a clean, comfortable environment. It suits families, couples, and solo travellers who want a balanced stay with easy access to the city.
If you’re looking for a well-equipped hotel in a convenient location, Zenith Kuantan is definitely worth considering.
The Chateau is a family friendly resort, it is also a great place for events like weddings or celebration.
When you arrive to the chateau, it feels as if you were in a fairy tale, castle in the woods. The condition and maintenance of the chateau is awesome, very cozy yet grand at the same time. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to their guests, providing top notch service. There are many different locations to explore and activities to do around the facilities, which make the stay a very eye opening and entertaining one. The room was beautiful, interior design to perfection, very comfy and clean, definitely had a good rest. The food provided at the chateau, one mouth watering meal, it definitely satisfied our taste buds.
Overall the experience at this hotel was fantastic, one that I would recommend to many. I would definitely come back again in the future.
Warmth n smooth check in n out.. A place you can call home.. Peaceful ambiance n good to unwind.. We had a good experience overall.. I personally recommend the photography team, they are professional in their work..They took nice pictures with nice views..
Nice cozy boutique hotel in Bentong. Clean room and easy check in. Hotel offers no breakfast, but has Oldtown White Coffee shop downstairs and close to restaurants like Family Mart, Bask Bear, A&W.
The room was clean and the location is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety, though the taste was just average. Overall, it’s a nice place for quality time and you can definitely spend the whole day at the hotel.
My family and I enjoy our stay. We were given a family suite at the 1001 Nights (Tower 3) instead of Wyndham (Tower 1), but we love it. The view from our suite at Level 42 was breathtaking because we were literally above the clouds. The breakfast buffet was marvelous with large spreads. We definitely will come back to this hotel again.
The best place to stay at cameron highlands....view is solid ...breakfast is nice with a nice view and nice spread of food...clean and comfortable room....sleep really well with nothing to worry about.
Only 1 thing u got to have strong legs and stamina when u walk down the hotel to go to the bazaar or shops...so when u walk down u have to walk up so yah
Rooms there option of using fan or aircon or both if u love cold and toilet is clean...shop around the area is alot so dont have to worries of getting hungry late at night can grab food...
Great stay for families.
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was very clean and spacious, providing plenty of comfort for my family. The environment was peaceful and family-friendly, making our stay relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.
I’ve stayed here many times over the years, and this trip was the most disappointing. They seems to have cut costs by deleting things from in-room amenities and the worst bit is they smell from the linen; bedsheets, pillows and towels. Even after I requested for replacements, the new ones are equally smelly. And don’t get me started with the gym: no attendant, no towels, smelly carpeting and equipment. Overall, maintenance is poor. Please improve the customer experience or risk losing them.

Very Good
Ssmiba msiaRoom have no towel. Was advise by the receptionist that the towel will be sent to room. But no response at all. Waited almost 3 hours no one sent. The room provided iron with international plug, but there is no international plug slot in the homestays. Tried call the receptionist so many times using the phone provided by no one answered at all. Was very disappointed as ended wearing shirt without ironing it. Check out time- I saw towels hanging out at the door (outside) but they doesn't inform or the room bell was not ring. The washroom is very dark as one of the light is not functioning. Overall,it was a disappoinment stays.
MmangosellerI stayed at Crockfords Hotel Genting in early October 2025 and was genuinely disappointed by the level of service — especially for a hotel that claims to be Malaysia’s leading luxury property.
On 3 October, I approached the concierge Duty Manager around 9:40am regarding the hotel Wi-Fi, which kept showing an “invalid credentials” error. Instead of taking the initiative to verify the problem — which turned out to be something as simple as incorrect login details given at check-in — he insisted that the IT team would need to come into my room to fix it.
Later in the day, another staff member resolved the issue within minutes by simply checking the credentials. It’s baffling how the Duty Manager couldn’t do something that basic.
Throughout my stay, I also noticed that many of the staff seemed lost and unsure of how to handle simple situations — almost like the blind leading the blind. There was a clear lack of coordination and communication among them.
The breakfast experience was another major letdown. I had breakfast there for three consecutive days, and throughout, the food was never hot — the noodles in soup were the only consistently warm item served. To make matters worse, the staff did not communicate properly among themselves. On one morning, we were told to wait while a table by the window was being cleared for us. After waiting a good five minutes, another group of guests was allowed to take the exact table we were waiting for. The explanation given was simply that “the other guests wanted the table.” Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre.
The only saving grace was the Duty Manager working on 5 Oct and overseeing the breakfast buffet, who was attentive, proactive, and took the initiative to check if guests needed drinks or assistance. His professionalism truly stood out amidst the confusion elsewhere.
For a hotel that boasts winning the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Award seven years in a row, this experience was frankly a joke. The gap between Crockfords’ reputation and its actual service standards is staggering.
Truly disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a so-called luxury hotel.
PS: At least the view was great.
GGuest UserThe hotel service was generally good, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, the water heater in my room was disappointing. it only stayed hot for a few minutes before turning cold, and I’m not sure why. Breakfast was okay, but the coffee machines were often out of service. Out of two machines, only one was working most of the time, which was inconvenient. There were also sudden loud banging sounds from the upper floor about twice a day, which was quite scary. Room service was fine, but accessing the swimming pool or gym can be a bit challenging if you plan to move between Windmill and Swiss Garden. It’s better to go directly down to the 3rd floor and walk over to Windmill for the facilities. Overall, an okay experience, but there’s room for improvement.
GGuest UserThey moved towards sustainability road hence they will not provide free mineral water bottles, toothbrushes and slippers in the room. You will need to request it if you really need it. Room is pretty basic, cleanliness is average. Breakfast provided is not the buffet type, it’s the set dine at the coffee shop. If you want buffet, need to add RM7/person/day. Food is not specifically good.
GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is a bit old, it offers great value for money. The beach is beautiful, the environment is relaxing, and everything is clean and well maintained. I truly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back again!”
GGuest UserI hope they can improve the self check-in machine. When I finished checking in, the receipt didn't come out of the machine, so I only knew my room number but not which floor it was on. I asked a staff member, and they just told me to take a number and wait in line, which took a long time. All I needed to know was the floor, but it ended up being such a hassle.
Here's a suggestion:
It would be great if they could improve this. Even though the room number is shown during check-in, the floor isn't included in the system. At the very least, if the receipt paper runs out, guests could take a photo of it with their phone, which would avoid so much trouble.
Alternatively, they could allow us to enter our email to send the receipt there, and then provide a QR code for us to scan ourselves.
VVieson HyLobby has a small slide and my kids really enjoyed it. The six-person room is quite spacious, quiet (stayed on Level 2), and cold enough without turning on the air-con. Early check-in was allowed with a small fee and checkout was smooth. Location is great if you’re going to Arena of Stars, but it’s about a 15–20 minute walk to SkyAvenue.
Not so good: receptionist wasn’t very friendly. Parking is limited, no clear pedestrian walkway, and it only accepts TnG or Genting card, but there’s no reload kiosk in the hotel. No water fountain and only small bottled water provided with limited refills. Hair dryer cuts off when using high heat. Room design looks fun, but there’s no real sofa, only two stools, which isn’t very practical.
GGuest UserThis is our 3rd time booking for this hotel. Unfortunately, we are not so pleased this time. Lift at Tower was not working well during check out time which was very stressful as many people need to use during that time. Only one lift is working out of the 4 lifts. We ended up using the cargo lift.. Housekeeping did not clean our room on day 2.
TTaogehWe had a wonderful stay at Cameron Highland Resort. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight – everything is freshly cooked to order from the menu, so the food came hot and delicious. Truly a delightful experience, and we will definitely visit again!
AAisyah Che Rahimi1. No of room given is different from the original room of the building. So a bit confusing here.
2. Need to ask the guard on where to park exactly based on the tower of the unit because there are a lot of towers.
3. No bathtub although in the picture, there is one
4. No cooking utensils, stove, forks, spoons etc as advertised
