I recently stayed at the Courtyard Nanaimo and had a lovely experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with good coffee facilities—a nice touch to start the day.
The location was perfect, close to the seaside and many great restaurants, making it easy to explore the area.
The only downside was that parking wasn’t free, which was a bit disappointing. There was also a payment error where my card was charged multiple times, but the hotel handled it professionally and issued a quick refund, which I appreciated.
Overall, it was a great stay, and I would happily return!
4/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (would have been 5/5 with free parking!)
Very good. it would be impossible to find better especially for the price. The place was clean, well appointed, nice view out of the window.
Brand new furniture, comfortable large bed, clean, coffee in the room, breakfast included …
I arrived past midnight after over 30 hours traveling and the breakfast was from 6.30 until 9 but I only woke up at ten, I still went downstairs to check and the manager on duty said no problem and a nice breakfast of cereal, omelette, sausages, toasts jam, various juices and coffee …
The only thing was no elevator but they took my luggages up without having to ask and same in the morning they took them back down
I am impressed and very satisfied
The location is superb good. It is a SkyTrain hotel.
The staff is friendly. The room quality is good, clean and cozy.
The hotel swimming pool is amazing, it is a wonderful place for individual, couple and family.
Due to it is a ****** hotel, you need to accept your neighbour made some noise after midnight.
And this hotel has already been the first stated owned hotel, it is worth to stay when in town.
The lobby and its fireplace is nice but guest room is a bit old and may need to be renovated or upgraded. The hot spring offers both indoor and outdoor pools and ONLY guests can enjoy the pool, be aware that the pool is NOT open to non-hotel guest.
One strange thing is the hotel won’t accept cash as deposit, you must have a cc or debit card to do your check in, is it right?

The location is super convenient! You can walk to Stanley Park, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the famous Robson Street, where you'll find plenty of options for dining and shopping. There's even a free shuttle to Capilano Bridge Park right around the corner, in front of the Hyatt Regency hotel, which is incredibly handy.
There are tons of restaurants and cafes nearby, making this one of the best locations in downtown Vancouver. The service was also good, and the little handmade doll in the room was really cute – though it costs $40, which was a bit of a shame, haha.
Check-in and check-out were both quick. The only downside is that the price isn't cheap, and it can be a bit unaffordable during peak season. But having experienced it once, it was definitely worth it.

The hotel has good facilities and an outdoor heated swimming pool. I swam in the -5 degree weather and didn't feel cold. There is also an indoor hot spring pool, which is very special in the ice and snow. I booked a sea view room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Vancouver Harbor. The sea view is unmatched. But it should also be pointed out that the hotel's service is generally good, but there are also arrogance and even arrogance, which makes people uncomfortable.
The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The on-site restaurant is truly a hidden gem—both the food and drinks were outstanding. The only issue I encountered was with the air conditioning in the room. It was quite noisy, so I turned it off before bed to get a better night’s sleep. However, I woke up early in the morning to find it had turned itself back on and the room temperature had dropped to 18°C which was uncomfortably cold. I mentioned this to the front desk during check-out and the staff member sincerely apologized and assured me they would look into it. I appreciated the way the situation was handled. And the other thing is the room is a bit overpriced.
Speaking of Victoria, this is the place to be! This is such a famous hotel. The rooms were spacious and we were able to stay comfortably even with our two children. The European atmosphere inside and outside the hotel really lifts your spirits.
The service was also polite, and they were especially considerate, bringing extra water for our children.
You can immerse yourself in the cute atmosphere of Victoria.
Top notch service. Corner suite on the 6th floor had a killer view of the harbor and parliament building. Walking distance from restaurant and the BC museum. Really appreciated having a sitting space separate from the bedroom.
Everything was very nice but room not newly remodeled. Nonetheless, looking forward to an opportunity to stay there again.
Major flaw was the pool, sauna area was part of an attached gym. Not the spa experience I had hoped for.
Nestled in the serene and picturesque landscape of Victoria, British Columbia, Oak Bay Beach Hotel offers an experience that seamlessly blends luxury, comfort, and stunning natural beauty. My stay at this boutique seaside hotel was nothing short of exceptional.
Location and Ambiance:
The location is a standout feature. Perched on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, the hotel provides breathtaking views of the water and the surrounding gardens. Whether you’re relaxing on the patio or enjoying a dip in the mineral pools, the scenery is always mesmerizing. The hotel’s architecture and decor exude a timeless elegance, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Rooms and Amenities:
The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. My suite was equipped with a cozy fireplace, a luxurious bathroom with a deep soaking tub, and a private balcony overlooking the ocean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The attention to detail in the room’s decor and amenities, from the high-quality linens to the locally sourced toiletries, enhanced the overall experience.

Very Good
GGuest UserStaff was totally excellent. The room is clean. Bed is very comfortable. The hot tub was just fantastic. Nice swimming pool. Food was good and I have no complaints at all.

GGuest UserThe hotel is nice, clean and tidy. After all, the price is cheap and the cost performance is very high. The room is not very big but it is enough. It is suitable for business travel. Parking is also convenient. There is a business district nearby for dining.
GGuest UserPlace is located at the Main Street. Staffs are so friendly and fast in their service. Room is clean and the amenities are pretty complete (especially as family of four, the mini fridge, plates, spoons, knife, cups, microwave, are very helpful). The only unpleasant thing is we can hear our neighbors talking and they are pretty loud, but not during the night.
GGuest UserThe hotel staff are very helpful. I always leave bags when I’m away skiing for the week.
Checked in quickly.
Rooms are big, immaculately clean, quiet and have v comfy beds. They are also nicely decorated. Got coffee machine, fridge, microwave & good wifi. Breakfast is pretty good. Got some fresh fruit, decent scrambled eggs, yoghurt and porridge if wanting more healthy options.
It has a pool which is nice.
Hall decor is now a bit dated and could do with being re-decorated.
TTongxianshengLeoThis is a very stylish hotel with a retro, nostalgic feel from the 1990s. The hotel provides a French press coffee maker, and you can ask the front desk for ground coffee, milk, and cream. It has a motel feel overall. The free parking is really great. You can park your car at the hotel during the day, and parking is free downtown after 8:00 p.m. It only takes about 20 minutes to drive to DT at night. You can park directly at the roadside meter, which is very convenient for City Walk.
CchiwaiFriendly staff. Pet friendly. We have a dog staying with us and with a balcony where it was easy for us to let the dog out late at night was excellent. However, next room was having the renovation of pipe work til 9pm and workers are quite noisy.
GGuest UserWith the history of this hotel of over 20 years, the overall cleanliness and maintenance is very much above average. I like the location right beside the mountain. I did use the swimming pool for a bit and it was relatively small given many tourists would use it in summer time. It has a jacuzzi inside and it was nice. The staffs are very friendly and nice and welcoming so another good experience to share.
