GGuest UserThat hotel had The Shining type vibes. It looks like it used to be a Really nice place back in the Day and the people were Really nice, but the place is Dated and has weevils climbing the walls and a lot of wierd stuff going on. All the outside doors, are locked at 7pm -7am and the only way to get in or out of the building is by the front entrance, if you can find it because the hallways are like a maze and there is no elevator. Also at 10pm the stairwells are all locked too you can only use the lobby stairwell (again, once you find it) I had to get something from my car after lockdown and had to walk the mile to the front desk to ask if there was any way I could get to my car that was parked in back of the hotel without having to walk a mile around it outside in the dark. The kid at the desk was kind enough to let me use a service entrance as long as I promised to bolt it after I came back in. If there ever was a fire there and it had to be evacuated at night, they would have major issue because there would only be one way out! The top floors has levels... You have to see it to understand that part. The key fobs are kinda sketchy; I met a couple who were unable to enter their room after finally finding it, because they had gotten lost looking for it (I got lost looking for mine when I first got there too) Everytime they tried to use it the key pad said 'Unauthorized Entry” and when the front desk person came to help, her key didn't work too. The couple and I had a good laugh, but we both said we wouldn't be staying there again, and we had both just got there and they hadn't even seen their room yet. No screens on the windows and don't open them because they are full of bugs and spiders. My sister and her kids found poop in the pool, after they were warned not to use the hot tub because people peed in it. The place looks like it is nice, but the closer you look the weirder it gets. The numbering on the room doors were crazy too, our room was 202 and across the from us was room 249 and go down the hall (up two steps and down one) you have 220 on one side and 300 across the hall ( or close to that) On a positive note, the workers were very friendly, the food at the restaurant was awesome and they really broke the budget on the smart TVs, but I will never staying there again!

GGuest UserPool was great, beds are comfortable. Rooms clean, except we found ants the next morning and couldn’t shut our door without really slamming it and breakfast was disappointing, eggs, sausages, cereal toast. No fruit or muffins bagels , that usually hotel free breakfast has.

The location is OK, it is quite convenient to go out and turn around, but not by the sea, the parking lot on the roadside is quite convenient. This hotel is a bit like a hotel apartment with a microwave in the room and a small hall

CCBKeatsNLThe Room was clean, dated, but clean. The bed was very comfortable and coming from someone with several lifelong injuries, that's a ig deal. I actually was able to sleep decently. The food in the Hotel's restaurant was really good and the staff were friendly and efficient. My only problem was that there was a mouse that was roaming the dining area. The server apologized and tried to assure me that the hotel has pest control coming in weekly. While a good thing, it didn't give me immediate satisfaction. Used to be that a hotel would make compensation of some kind. Non was offered. But again, the food was terrific and reasonably priced given the location... but, the mice issue is a problem for me.

GGuest UserClean and comfortable place to stay. Overnight parking is $25. It’s basement which is good. The sound insulation is just okay, can hear people talking in the hallway while in the room.

GGuest UserOnly after checking in did we realize that most of the hotel rooms were under renovation. There was a strong smell of paint, and we barely saw any other guests during our stay. It didn't feel like we were in a hotel, yet the price wasn't cheap. The heating in the room was also problematic; it felt even colder when on, like cold air was blowing, which made us all catch colds. The front desk staff were very helpful though, providing extra blankets for each of us. Due to the renovations, we couldn't enjoy any of the hotel's facilities. On the bright side, the hotel is very close to the beach, and the views there are fantastic.

AAnonymous UserFacilities: Plenty of facilities, including a swimming pool and elevator; overall, it's a fairly standard Hilton hotel. Environment: The environment is excellent. The hotel is comfortable and tidy. Towels aren't very dirty, except for the floor, which is a little dirty. The bedding doesn't show much dust and is quite neat. There are plenty of pillows, and even the TVs have your name on them with a welcome message. The soundproofing is excellent; you can barely hear people shouting outside. The rooms are very large and beautiful, as is the bathroom. It's also very close to the hotel. Service: The service is superb. We arrived early with our luggage because I wanted to go to Halifax for a while longer, and the front desk helped us store our luggage and gave us some tickets. The staff at the front desk were very polite and helpful. Cleanliness: Excellent.

EErnest KurishI recently stayed at Chateau Bedford, and had a great experience. The location is very convenient, especially if you're coming from the airport. It’s also close to COSTCO and IKEA, which was super handy for some quick shopping. Getting to downtown and the main shopping malls was also easy, making it a great base for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay better. The room was very clean, and the facilities were good, offering everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, it's great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it if you're visiting the area.

KKB100I had a very good stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Truro. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel served a hot breakfast with pre-made omelets, sausages, potatoes, waffles, and bagels, plus a range of cold options. Free coffee and tea were available all day,l. I also used the gym, which had everything I needed for my workout. My only critique is that the breakfast setup was quite wasteful, with everything served in disposable containers and plastic cups. While they do offer recycling, it would be great to see composting added for unfinished food. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserVery pleasant establishment. Clean room, friendly staff, good food for a dinner takeout and breakfast the next morning. We came in around 8pm from long ride and was greeted with a smile and an offer for takeout dinner from the restaurant on sight when it closed at 9pm. Room was clean, hot shower with good pressure, comfortable beds with warm bedding, good working A/C and a beautiful balcony view, all reasonably priced. Breakfast next morning was friendly, accommodating, fresh and better than a typical hotel included breakfast. Wonderful restaurant atmosphere and design! Would definitely recommend though we r from NY in US. Deb and Mark Weinsheimer
