Wanda Jin Suites Changbaishan

We brought our parents and children to Wanda for a summer getaway and stayed in the Jin Hua suite. Our whole family was very satisfied. From before we even left, customer service representative Xixi sent us real-time updates: the weather and temperature in Changbaishan, available activities, how to get around, and so on—every detail was handled perfectly. They reserved a spacious room for us and allowed a late check-out. The service was prompt and responsive. Xixi and the housekeeping staff were incredibly thoughtful, providing plenty of drinking water and toiletries. This really showcased the genuine warmth and generosity of the people from Northeast China. We had a wonderful time in Changbaishan at a pleasant 22 degrees Celsius. We look forward to visiting again!

Stayed with my family during Chinese New Year. We booked a club suite and a club king room. The rooms were a bit dated but generally well-maintained. The club rooms come with executive lounge access. The light meals are served in the lobby on the first floor, and while the selection wasn't huge, it was convenient. We had a butler who added us on WeChat, recommended some local attractions and activities, and helped arrange transportation, showing good service. If you're bringing kids for skiing in winter, definitely book a coach in advance via the mini-program.

Right at check-in, we were given two warm bottles of Changbai Mountain mineral water. The room was standard, and the heating was very strong – we had to sleep with the window open. The hot springs, however, are in a separate building, and you have to walk through the lobby on the ground floor to get to them. The lobby and the breakfast area on the second floor weren't warm enough, making it easy to catch a cold after coming back from the hot springs. The hot springs themselves are communal and only have a few small pools; it's not really worth going unless you just want a quick taste of Changbai Mountain's hot springs.

Choosing to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun, was one of the smartest decisions I made during my Chinese New Year trip to Changchun. My experience showed that it offers excellent value for money, in terms of both its facilities and service. **Location: The Absolute Center of the City** The hotel's location is truly prime, right next to People's Square. It's incredibly convenient for taxis or ride-sharing services. Downstairs, you'll find the Zhuozhan Shopping Center and Wanda Plaza, so shopping, dining, and catching a movie are all just steps away. What was even more delightful was discovering that just across the street is the former site of the Bank of China's Changchun headquarters from before liberation. For history buffs and photography enthusiasts, you can easily snap some fantastic photos when passing by in the morning or evening. **Room Experience: Spotless and Cozy** Staying during Chinese New Year, the room was decorated with a lovely festive atmosphere. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and they even offered a choice of pillows, which meant even someone like me, who struggles with sleeping in new beds, had a great night's sleep. Shangri-La's renowned 'hospitality' was fully evident here. From the concierge proactively helping with luggage and guiding me to the front desk, to the warm towels and tea offered by the front desk staff during check-in, every detail exuded warmth. I asked a lobby staff member about local dining recommendations, and she not only described the dining environment and approximate distance in detail but also thoughtfully reminded us of the convenience of getting around: a central hub for exploring attractions. Using the hotel as our base, our itinerary for the past few days was incredibly smooth: a taxi ride to Nanhu Park, Changchun Zoological and Botanical Garden, Ice and Snow World, and Ocean Fantasy Park were all within a reasonable distance. After a day of exploring, returning to the hotel meant easy access to the bustling commercial area downstairs for food and shopping. If you're planning a trip to Changchun, especially in winter when you want both comfort and convenience, the Shangri-La Changchun is an choice you won't regret. It's more than just a place to sleep; it's the perfect base to truly experience the charm of this city. Clean, welcoming, and well-located – I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Changchun.

The hotel environment is absolutely beautiful, nestled within the Wanda Resort villas, surrounded by lush greenery. The complimentary pick-up and drop-off service from both the train station and airport is very convenient. The room facilities are complete, and the balcony offers a stunning view of Changbai Mountain. The hotel service is excellent; the restaurant, housekeeping, concierge, and front desk staff are all incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Special shout-out to our duty manager, Joy, who added us on WeChat beforehand, making our check-in process smooth and reassuring. The hotel breakfast is incredibly rich and varied, and the à la carte dining is a nice touch. I'll definitely choose Park Hyatt again for future trips to see Changbai Mountain and Tianchi Lake!

The Crowne Plaza Changbai Mountain truly exceeded our expectations and was the most satisfying choice of our entire trip to Changbai Mountain. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the North Slope entrance of Changbai Mountain. It boasts an exclusive green channel to the scenic area, meaning no need to wake up early and queue in long lines. We could easily enter the park, saving a lot of time. The overall architecture is in a forest cabin style, surrounded by dense trees, creating a serene and quiet environment. The guest rooms are elegantly decorated with wooden furniture and landscape murals. The space is spacious and clean, and the bedding is soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The hotel also has its own natural forest hot springs. After a day of exploring, a soak there washed away all the fatigue from hiking. The staff were attentive and efficient. The breakfast offered a wide variety of exquisite and delicious dishes. Choosing this hotel for your trip to Changbai Mountain is definitely the right decision. The experience was fantastic, and we will definitely stay here again next time we visit.

This was my first time visiting Changbaishan and staying at the Jinhua Hotel. The hotel was clean and well-maintained overall, and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. What really stood out were the many special activities for kids, which my child absolutely loved. The hotel's scenery is also beautiful; taking the cable car up the mountain provides an unobstructed panoramic view. You can also enjoy activities like the sliding car and digging for ginseng. I especially want to commend the executive lounge staff, Gjnnn. She was incredibly responsible and responsive to all my inquiries about the activities I wanted to try. The weather wasn't great during my stay, and some activities like rafting and the sliding car were closed at times. She kept me updated via WeChat about any special closures. She's super nice, diligent, and responsible! 👍🏻

Facilities: Very complete, has everything you need. The decor is also very artistic, fitting well with the Changbai Mountain scenic area. Hygiene: Found a strand of hair in the fried rice at breakfast. For a four-star hotel, that's really unacceptable 😂, just like a fly-ridden diner. Environment: Quite good and beautiful. Service: The staff at the lobby and bathhouse are all very enthusiastic, answering all questions and always happy to help. A short-haired staff member even enthusiastically told us how to best explore the area, as we hadn't planned anything, and was very patient. However, there's a manager or someone at the front desk who always seems very impatient when answering questions – I've truly never seen such an attitude 😂, and it wasn't even a difficult question. Also, the driver: if shuttle service is provided, why can't it be perfect? He also seemed impatient and didn't help with luggage when we got out. He even honked furiously just because we didn't know how to close the trunk 😂. This hotel should be one of the better ones in the area, so it would be a shame to lose out because of these small issues. Overall, the service from the other hotel staff was quite good.

InterContinental Hotels CHANGCHUN HIGH TECH ZONE by IHG

Staying in the Winter Warmth of Changchun | A Short Review of InterContinental Changchun High-tech Zone Some say a hotel is a home away from home. This stay at the InterContinental Changchun High-tech Zone truly made me feel well taken care of. **Arrival: A Warm Welcome** The outdoor temperature was above zero (Celsius, implying a warmer-than-expected winter day), and as soon as I entered the lobby, I was enveloped by a warm, pine-scented aroma. The lady at the front desk saw I was holding a coffee and immediately offered me a wet wipe and a portable cup sleeve. This small detail instantly made a great impression on me. **In the Room: Embracing the View** Pulling back the curtains, I looked out at the High-tech Zone's evening streets, with traffic flowing like golden ribbons. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; despite the hustle and bustle outside, it was perfectly quiet inside. A hot bath washed away the dust from my journey. The mattress was just right, neither too soft nor too firm, and I slept deeply that night. **Culinary Delights: A Taste of Northeast China** You absolutely must try the steaming hot wontons for breakfast. Sitting by the window, watching the morning light slowly illuminate the city, I felt life was particularly beautiful. A good hotel makes you fall in love with a city because of one room. Changchun's spring is beautiful, but the hospitality at InterContinental is truly heartwarming.

The overall environment of the resort is pretty good; it would probably be even better in the summer. The service is exceptional, with everyone paying great attention to detail. However, as a mom looking for a weekend getaway with my child, I found the activities to be just so-so. The snow activities themselves are free, so any amount of fun is a bonus. The hot springs, though, were really disappointing. There are only a few indoor pools, no high-temperature areas, and more importantly, they didn't feel like actual hot springs! 😦 The outdoor iron pot was impossible to use due to too much debris. From a value-for-money perspective, it's not the best choice for a weekend trip. And the kids' play area... sigh.
