GGuest UserThe hotel location is good. Quite quick and convenient for checking in the hotel. However, the room was outdated with old carpet. The air condition was very old and so loud.

GGuest UserA Comfortable Stay with a Few Surprises
As one of Marriott’s brands, I expected a little more, but overall, the hotel delivers the essentials for a pleasant stay. The rooms are very spacious, with two double beds—perfect for a family holiday. The indoor pool and the gym is a nice touch, though it’s worth noting that external guests can also use it.
Things to keep in mind:
Parking – There’s a £7.50 per night charge, which feels a bit steep. The website mentions free parking for conference delegates, so it might be worth asking at check-in.
Holding Charge – A £50 pre-authorisation is applied to your card. While common in some places, many UK chains no longer do this, so plan ahead if your card balance is tight.
TV Experience – The TV system could use an upgrade. Menu and guide functions weren’t available, and picture quality was poor—even on HD channels.
Room Details – The room was spotless, but we noticed condensation on the windows and a slight odd smell on arrival. Nothing major, but worth mentioning.
Overall:
The hotel offers the comfort and space you’d expect from a reputable brand, but a few details—like parking, the TV system, and the holding charge—felt out of step with Marriott’s usual high standards. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, spacious room and good facilities, it’s a solid choice.

GGuest UserLocation is good. Super service. But the rooms and amenities are too old, need to be repaired and renovated. The bathroom sink countertop has lots of stains.looked too uncomfortable. Coffee bar was not clean at all .

GGuest UserGreat room with 2 roll top baths, big comfy bed, big shower en-suite, this was an upgraded room from the one that I had booked so it was a very nice surprise! Evening meal in the lounge was very good. The breakfast was superb, good quality ingredients and presented really well, the service was attentive and quick! The Spa was clean with good facilities, there were works being done on the outside pool during our stay so this will be a great addition when it is finished. The staff at the front desk were fantastic, Sarah showed us to our room!
I love the little touches!, the refreshment bag given to us for our homeward journey when we checked out as well as all the other touches makes for a very pleasant stay. I wish I could have of stayed longer. I would love to come back.

PPHYO PHYO WAI YANG YINGWe drove all the way from London to WHATLEY MANOR, the location is really rural bit quiet. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL MANOR SINCE 1929. We booked a suite room and upgraded to extra single bed for my son and cost 150£, which is considered very expensive. We booked for 2 nights and it cost us 1500£, [ breakfast included ] in my opinion is very pricey for this location. I think their selling points are spa, sauna, thermal room , hydro pool but for Asian , it is too common for us.The beds are very comfortable, room is very spacious and cozy, provide good quality amenities. They have really beautiful garden good for walking and reading books. Beside price, everything is good.

GGuest UserThis hotel has got high standards on cleanliness and service consistently. On a bitterly cold weekend the room was warm throughout. In fact very comfortable bed and no need for extra blanket. 2 small issues. The pillows were a bit lumpy but fine and the restarant did not serve evening meals to our liking but overall outstanding !!! Cannot wait to return.

LLaoshi，wotaixiangjinbula入住遇到了一點小問題，好在酒店幫忙解決了，自然環境非常好，酒店有很多值得探索的地方，本來計劃了巴斯泡温泉，因為酒店有熱水池以及四五個不同功效的汗蒸房，所以還省掉了巴斯温泉一筆鉅款，春節假期在酒店的池子裏仰望星空，也是一種別樣的體驗。泡池子以及汗蒸都是免費服務且無需預約，但是問攜程給的答案是要過去預約
