Lovely hotel about 30 min walk from the main sites so ok. On a pretty busy road and our balcony was noisy because of that. The window insulation at night was good though. Breakfasts ok as long as you don’t arrive after tour parties who eat everything and it seems to take them too long to refill. Some mornings no chopped fruit, some mornings no smoked salmon. Room was massive and bed very comfortable. Quiet other than road noise. Pool would have been nice but wasn’t heated at all so in October was freezing and not useable which was a shame
The hotel is next to historical landmark Shah-i-Zinda necropolis. Registan Square is a 20-minute walk or 10-minute drive away.
Taxi drivers need to be given the exact location of the hotel, which is on an uphill road, otherwise they may be dropped off in front of Shah-i-Zinda Cemetery.
Hotel room is well equipped and wifi is stable.
Staffs are really helpful.
Fruits provided for breakfast are juicy.
We are so happy and satisfied with this hotel until the day we checked out. We were accused of taking the laundry bag which is worth 300k Uzbek SUM. I went up with 2 staff and it turned out it was in the drawer all the time (the funny thing is I never even touched it.) I don’t blame these 2 staff as I know it is their responsibility to make sure nothing was missing/stolen (though next time it would be appreciated if they can check it more thoroughly.)
What truly pissed me off is the attitude from another female staff at the reception named Zarifa. From the moment we checked out, she just looked grumpy and when my friend said “we never used it”, she reacted with “I am sure you did” in a very rude way! Even later on, it turned out to be in the drawer in the room, she was not even apologetic (the other 2 staff at least said “sorry for the mistake.”
This is one of the 2 five star hotels in Samarkand and I just hope what we paid at this hotel is equivalent to the amount of respect you show to your customers. The hotel really NEEDS to put more training in your staff’s service.
By the way, we had a really nice chat with another staff named “Firdav” at the first floor bar (if I remember his name correctly, he is tall and bit skinny). He had worked in Hilton for 2 years and the professionalism and politeness he demonstrated is just another level. PLEASE LEARN FROM HIM THAT HOW A STAFF AT 5 STAR HOTEL SHOULD BEHAVE AND TREAT THEIR GUESTS!!
Gem in Samarkand , love the service , ambience and cleanliness.
Room is huge , bed comfortable.
The staff attitude is marvellous and customer oriented.
Love this place.
To the right of hotel , there is barbeque restaurant , cheap and delicious.
Both staff that i attached served me , they are humble and very helpful.
Great 3 nights stay at Movenpick hotel with all amenities. Very convenient and close to the Gour Emir monument (4/5mn by walk) and the Registan square (15/16mn). A lot of cafe and restaurants around the hotel as we didn’t book the hotel breakfast. As we are lazy to dine out, we enjoyed twice diners at the restaurant Caramelle (really juicy manti and tasteful somsa & soups) We tried the sauna (hammam was under reparation) and the fitness. We had pleasant drinks at the pool bar. So we can recommend the Movenpick hotel at Samarkand. And the room rates are very affordable for a 4,5/5* hotel.
We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. Although it’s rated 4 stars, it offers amenities and service comparable to some 5-star hotels. Our room was spacious, featuring a balcony, a spotless bathroom, and four complimentary bottles of water although we are a couple. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, arranging our private visit to the SPA and swimming pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious, with a wider and better selection than some nearby 5-star hotels.
The only downsides were the location of the rooms, which are separate from the main building, the absence of an elevator, and open-air corridors connecting the rooms to the dining and SPA areas. This can be uncomfortable during colder months like February, so dressing warmly is advisable.
This hotel is definitely THE BEST DEAL you can find in the area and it's just 10 minutes walk from the main attraction in Samarkand.
The hotel lobby service is very average. The bellhops who drove to the lobby door were not enthusiastic and did not greet guests quickly. You had to call them. The check-in staff were also not enthusiastic and inefficient. Shouldn't they be enthusiastic and quick when you stay for two nights and extend your stay the next day? But the woman was impatient and perfunctory👎; the price is not low for local consumption. A very small room costs more than 1,500 RMB a night. Hilton is a five-star hotel, so shouldn't it provide corresponding services? The hotel's hardware facilities are good, but the soft service training is very poor. Because the hotel is remote and similar to a park, the driver who picked us up could not reach the hotel entrance due to the road closure caused by the local sports meeting, and the hotel shuttle bus was needed to take us out. After the bellhops sent us to the parking lot outside, he didn't even bother to help take the luggage out of the car, and just stood there waiting for us to take it ourselves. I really don't understand how the staff are trained. The service is very poor.
We travel Uzbekistan with the train and this hotel is located directly at the train station. To go to the city, you take a taxi app. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly. The pool is absolutely necessary and beautifully refreshing just in July. There are also music and cool drinks at the bar (fair prices). It is essential to try the Egyptian restaurant with the roof terrace, we had a nice time there.
I chose the hotel based on its location. It is very convenient to get to Samarkand City - there are traffic jams in the city in the mornings and evenings.
The hotel pleased me with everything, starting with the exterior.
Beautiful both inside and out.
The room is spacious - with two!!!
Very clean! Bed linen and towels are soft and snow-white. The room smells clean!
There is a separate temperature regulator in the bathroom, it is super comfortable.
For breakfast - a lot of different fruits, a fairly large selection of food, halal food.
All the staff are very responsive, but I would especially like to note the young man at the daytime reception, I did not remember his name, to my great regret. Because his attitude towards visitors is better than in a 5-star hotel - responsiveness and customer focus at its best!
In general, all the guys are very responsive and professional!
A separate plus is the 24-hour coffee shop, where there is a table with USB chargers.
The spa complex is quite large, but I did not have time to visit. Although the price of accommodation includes several procedures!!! Sauna and salt room, for example.
I will gladly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back myself.
Another important point - if you get there by taxi, you must definitely mark the hotel, because there is another location on the map at the same address.
Thanks to the hotel for the wonderful impressions of Samarkand!

GGuest UserAfter a few rough nights at a Soviet hotel, words can’t describe how happy I was to see this hotel. The male receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived as he let me check in a bit earlier after a train ride. The breakfast fulfilled my needs as they have fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, eggs, coffee… no complaint. The guy working at the breakfast area was also very helpful. After I finished gym, I went up there. He immediately asked me if I needed water. It shows that he’s attentive. I felt happy staying there. The reason I booked it was the gym. As an active person, I need to work out on my travels. The gym is not fully equipped but it provides with the basics such as a treadmill, a bike and weights. Location wise, it’s not in the center of the tourist spot but it’s walking distance. It took me 15 min to get to Registan. Don’t worry though as Samarkand is pedestrian friendly.

GGuest UserA very Central Asian hotel. I think their breakfast is the best I have ever had during my travels, and the staff is also very polite. The lady at the front desk is also very beautiful. The location is also very good. Whether it is walking to the local bazaar or attractions, it basically only takes about ten minutes. There are also Indian restaurants and other local restaurants nearby for dining. very convenient

LLee LI ChuThe room is very spacious, the house is novel, the mattress and lighting are great, the counter staff service attitude is also super good, meeting all our needs! ㄧ A few steps away from the hotel, there is everything you need for a super large supermarket.
The only thing is 3 kilometers away from the core attractions, but the cheap taxi will not cause any inconvenience.
