We were very satisfied with this hotel. We arrived after reception hours, so the hotel left the key in a key box for us. They replied to our email quickly on the day, and we checked in without any issues. The facilities are also very comprehensive, including a pickleball court, a basketball court, and self-service BBQ grills. If you plan to dine at the hotel restaurant, be aware that you need to do so before 7:30 PM.
The cottage was old, but it was spacious enough for three people and felt mostly comfortable after the renovation. There are several trekking courses on the property, ranging from 20 minutes to several days. The shorter courses have well-maintained wooden decks and paths, making it easy to enjoy the primeval forest and spot animals like wombats and wallabies. Wi-Fi (and general data communication) is only available at the main lodge, and the lodge doesn't stay open late, so make sure to take care of any necessary online tasks early.
The bed was terrible. You could see that the mattress had hollows in it where it was worn out by just looking at it. The pilliows were worse. They were no more than 4 inches high but flattened down to no more than 1 inch high, so you felt like you were sleeping with your head below you body. You couldn't fall out of the bed because the hollows kept you safely in the bed. Found supermarket receipts on the floor near the bed, so cleaning of the room was a bit suspect as well. Yes there are positives - the shower pressure was great. The other positive was that we had to leave early the next morning. I could not recommend this motel. Yes it was cheap to stay in, but you get what you pay for.
Conveniently located 3min drive away from Visitor Centre. Smooth check-in and check-out. There's breakfast buffet and ala carte dinner menu offered at the hotel restaurant, which is convenient as there aren't alot of meal options on Cradle Mountain. Room was spacious and clean. Toilet could be cleaner and refurbished though. Floors were creaking and the shower area have several yellow stains. Other than that, our family had a great stay. Would consider to stay here again next time we visit Cradle Mountain.
Splendid experience at the Gorge Deluxe Room. Very clean and spacious with a lovely view of the river and hills nearby.
Plenty of hiking routes available nearby which is ideal for those looking for a good walking experience.
For dog lovers, walking Archie (the silo dog) is also a great add-on! First time for us walking a dog at a 5-star hotel.

A kitchen is outfitted with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wired and wireless internet access keeps you connected, and cable programming provides entertainment. The location of the hotel is absolutely good. Each villa has its own name. The car is parked directly at the door. It is very convenient. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room are facing the nut stone. You can enjoy it on the sofa or balcony. The kitchen equipment is all available. You can make your own dinner. There is a big bathtub in the room. It is very pleasant to go to bed and rest after soaking. The only downside is that the hotel's so-called breakfast is actually breakfast-included materials, all in the refrigerator, egg bacon, etc., but it is a bit unexpected to make it yourself.
We love this hotel. They got very great staff. They are kind and very helpful. The facility is all working well like car park, kitchens staff, washing machine and dryer. They got zoo in the property but we did not have time to visit.
