1st time staying at this hotel for 4 nights. None to complain about, very good (10/10) in my judgements, including breakfast, gym, hot pool, etc. room size is very big. I don't mind to recommend any one and on my next trip to Medan, I ll most certainly book this hotel if the nightly rate is compatible.
Rooms are very clean and spacious! Located right opposite Merdeka Square and Medan City Railway Station. Due to it facing the busy road and area, the noise level can get high (but bearable) if there are events held nearby. Sauna, hot & cold pools available (seperated by gender) are clean and come with lockers & shower facilities. Outdoor swimming pool was well maintained too. Staff were generally quite polite too.
First time staying at this hotel. Great counter service, staff was able to converse in English. Room was clean and toiletries were refilled every day. No complaints at all. Super close to the main train station which connects directly to the airport. Breakfast starts at 0630 to 1000. Every day's menu is different. One slight downside is that the dishes are labelled in Bahasa Indonesian, so you might need some help if you really want to know what the dishes are served. At 0700, the buffet starts the live omelette station and noodle station.
Housekeeping is done every day. Linens are clean, no smell, towels are also very clean. Good job to the hotel. Would recommend all types of travellers to stay.
I recently stayed at JW Marriott Hotel Medan and was truly impressed by the experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional—every staff member I encountered was warm, professional, and eager to assist, whether it was at check-in, concierge, or housekeeping.
The room was spacious, clean, and elegantly designed, with a fantastic view of the city skyline. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with high-quality amenities. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was a huge plus.
The facilities were top-notch—I particularly enjoyed the infinity pool on the upper floor, which offers an incredible panoramic view of Medan. The fitness center was well-equipped and clean.
Food-wise, I was blown away by the breakfast buffet at Marriott Café. A wide variety of both local and international dishes, all fresh and delicious.
Overall, JW Marriott Medan exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a blend of luxury, comfort, and excellent service, this is the place to be.
So lovely! I stayed in a king junior suite which was great value for money. My room was spotless, it was such a treat to use the free toiletries, wear the robe and slippers, use the coffee machine and variety of coffees, sleep in the huge comfy bed and watch my Netflix. The restaurant has huge windows perfect for watching the sunset and the variety and quality of food was brilliant. I also loved the pool with fresh towels on the sun beds and waterfall feature. The best thing about it though was the lovely staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Only downside is it’s such a busy location, I didn’t venture out much I preferred the peace of the hotel. It’s not far from the airport though and the receptionist booked my taxi for me. I am definitely staying here next time I visit :)
The hotel is clean and neat. The staff are friendly and helpful. I really enjoy my stay despite spending long hours working. I get a good night sleep. Thanks
This was my 6th nights stay with separate subsequent bookings due to unknown situation of our mum's conditions who was in nearby hospital. Everything of this hotel was good and convenient, especially the staffs. Not using the other facilities in the hotel at all apart from sleeping and breakfast.
The Deluxe twin bed room that I got was not the same as the pictures on Trip.com. The pillow cover and the towels looked like they have been used for many years. The room is definitely not typical for 4-star hotel. The included breakfast was good. I just wished that the photos are of actual room so I could have made an informed decision.

ИИгорь БушинNot a bad apartment hotel, relatively inexpensive, large room-apartment, good bed, balcony, large living room. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but delivery is five points. It is located in a good area, there are a lot of useful things nearby, from ATMs, malls, to restaurants and grocery stores. The area is safe, modern, well-lit. The reception staff was helpful and helped with a taxi to the lake. Toba, although you could use the Bluebird app (Grab refused to carry it). It seems like you can't smoke, even on the balcony, but if you really want to, you can :)) The only drawback is poor sound insulation from the street, sometimes night riders disturb your sleep.

GGuest UserThe hotel was unable to find in Waze and Google Map until we asked someone.
The front desk staff aren't well verse in English and struggling to understand our English and broken bahasa Indonesia.
Booked a room via trip.com and promised King bed but the hotel staff said all economy room comes with queen bed. We found booking information was misleading and felt cheated.
There wasn't a toilet paper in the bathroom and I asked for twice. Promised to deliver but did not.
The pillows of the room are not for normal human being and my partner has to remove more than half of the ” artificial form” of the pillows to reduce height.( I m more than 5 feet and he is more than 6 feet height).... otherwise it is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep with this kind of pillow.
