This hotel is indeed highly recommended for its scenic views and quite near to the Plaza Mayor de Armas. Highlight the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms, as well as the friendly and professional staff. The natural lighting and panoramic city and mountain views are definitely standout features! The room I got has a scenic view! Super worth the price, I’m telling you, you should get one with the scenic view if you stay here. And staff at the restaurant were so kind and accommodating.

not in the centre of Cusco but close enough, 5-10mins to main square. we left our luggage at hotel when we went to Machu Picchu and when we got back was already waiting for us in our reserved room. decent size bed/ room, bath room but small and the fan is cold in winter as it blows directly to the shower/tun. But generally good service. breakfast was also decent, although they seemed understaffed at the restaurant

The service is excellent and the location is great. If you want to go to Machu Picchu and leave very early in the morning, tell the hotel front desk the time you leave the hotel and the hotel will arrange a breakfast before you leave. The room service is very good

The hotel is near the train station. Turn right and then turn right for five minutes. It is 20 minutes by car from Machu Picchu Scenic Area. The hotel service is great. It is a pleasant surprise hotel. It is located at 2020 meters above sea level and between the highlands and the rainforest. It has a private botanical garden of 50 hectares. Among them, the most famous is the orchid garden, with as many as 372 varieties. The hotel has arranged various activities at all times, and has a plant expert who took me to watch various orchids and how to make tea with plants. At the same time, I was fortunate to see the Peruvian national bird moving crown umbrella bird. The only regret is that the check-out time is 10 am.

Belmond Hotel is my personal favorite hotel brand, no one! Although it is relatively niche compared to other five-star hotels, it is definitely an aristocratic stay experience! From check-in to check-out at the front desk, the hotel has really paid attention to every detail. The Belmond Hotel Machu Picchu is located at the door of Machu Picchu, which saves a lot of effort for tourists who visit early in the morning. I booked an all-inclusive room type with three meals. The choice of three meals is very rich, which is quite good for a mountaintop hotel with scarce supplies. The hotel still provides washing service after check-out, which is very intimate. After staying for two nights, Machu Picchu is a great experience! Ctrip's price is much cheaper than booking, very powerful!

Belmond Hotel is my personal favorite hotel brand, no one! Although it is relatively small compared to other five-star hotels, it is definitely an aristocratic experience! From check-in to check-out at the front desk, the hotel really does pay attention to every detail. The Belmond Hotel Cusco is a converted monastery. The hotel also has a church, which is very characteristic. The Spanish courtyard design is elegant and elegant. The hotel breakfast is very rich. Stayed late that day and was upgraded, very satisfied. It is located next to Weapons Square and has a good location. Great experience staying in Cusco! GGuest UserHad two separate bookings with the hotel as I was going to Machu Picchu and staying overnight there. During my first day at this hotel in my first reservation, I was asked to pay for this second booking together. No receipt given but was assured that there will not be any misunderstanding. Was told to pack and leave my things at the reception and check out and re-check in. So not sure why I needed to pay for the second reservation upfront in my first booking (Maybe afraid that I would cancel it as I was really tempted to). As mentioned in my previous post, the amenities are severly lacking, cause of low water supply, the pipes and toilet filling up is very loud and the water flow from the tap is like the picture at night and it was trickling and dripping one of the early mornings when I had a tour. In short, i will not stay here again.

GGomezHotel Santa Maria was the best hotel during my stay in Peru, which included not only Cusco, but also Lima and Aguas Calientes. The bed was comfortable, the Wifi worked well and reliably, and the serice was excellent in several ways. For example, when I requested an airport pickup at 10 pm after flying 28 straight hours, a friendly driver picked me up. Ruby was particularly helpful and very friendly and wanted the best for me as a tourist in her country. She asked follow-up questions about my experience at Machu Picchu after getting back from Machu Picchu Pueblo. It waa great Spanish practice! The men front staff were also gentlemenly willing to help. In addition to the very hospitable demeanor, the tour service also saved my trip. I booked a separate city tour with a different company on Trip.com, but that tour never happened. However, the tour services of Santa Maria gave me exactly what I wanted from their own tour booking service managed by Edith. So, rest assured that service, too, is reliable. Be wary of online city tours done online in Cusco. No need to worry at this hotel, though. I used it also for the Rainbow Mountain excursion. With Hotel Santa Maria, I wouldn't have truly experienced Cusco, Peru! Mil gracias for helping me realize my dream trip to its fullest extent!

KK TravelsLet me start with the positives, stylish design, exactly like the pics advertised, from entering the hotel to the resting area to the balcony to the room, all very nice. But you need to be ready for the stairs if you not getting here by car, going out and coming back from the square, especially if you have luggage or backpack, everyone arriving here were out of breath. The bathroom has odor coming up from the pipe, which is normal for house this old, if you are okay with it. I was in room 201, sound proof does not exist, can hear car passing, dog barking, guests coming back from partying at night, tourists cheering & leaving hotel for trips at 3:30am, didn’t get much sleep. Most disappointing thing was hot water, I arrived in the afternoon climbing up the stairs, was hoping to have a quick shower before heading out for dinner, stood in the bathroom waited 5mins for hot water, was told be staff hot water was out they are trying to fix, came back after drinks, still no hot water, was very late so didn’t call staff, tried to have a shower before check out at 7am, hot water was still not available after another good 5mins standing in the shower… sigh

JJingwen DorothyI stayed here 4 nights before and after the Salkantay trek. The first 4 nights were in a studio room which is very nicely decorated with plants and flowers, the last 4 nights were in a double room with a view of the city. I enjoyed my stay in both. The checkout was very easy, I left the key and bags in my room when I left at 4.30am for the salkantay trek, and when I returned, I was immediately brought to my new room with my bags already inside, which felt really nice after a tiring 5 days. The breakfast was nice, had fresh papaya or orange juice. The location was great as well, just about 5 min walk down to the main square (about 10min up) and the first 2 streets from the main square have police officers around which made me feel safer. Also many cafe and restaurants in the streets around it. I was having diarrhoea and feeling unwell on my last day and was grateful that I could check out later to have a longer rest.

AAnonymous UserThe staff members are friendly when you see them, but two problems I encountered: the intro page of the hotel says it has a 24-hour front desk but it doesn’t! One night I finished drinking with friends and returned to the hotel at 12:25, the main door was locked, I called and knocked for 15 mins and no one replied - worse still I have a 4:30am pick up for Machu Piccu tour the following morning and I couldn’t change my clothes, charge my phone or bring anything with me because they just wouldn’t open the door! I couldn’t book another hotel either because any booking of the day only allows check in at 11am. I ended up sleeping in the sofa of a nearby hotel Prisma Hotel who was fully booked but kindly let me stay a night at their lobby. Another thing was - the hotel room lock was shady and it became unlocked automatically sometimes. It’s not somewhere you feel you can trust.

CcindyDo not think twice to stay here, just book it! Me and my husband had an amazing stay here during our trip in Cusco. The hotel is located at the heart of Cusco city and just a few minutes walk to the plaza, along with nearby shops and restaurants. It is run by a lovely family (Jose, Johann, and Miriam) who will greet you very warmly. We had to get up incredibly early (4am!) for a tour and Jose prepared a packed breakfast for us. I told my husband it feels as if our parents prepared the breakfast because it was very thoughtful and we never got hungry throughout the trip :) Johan speaks really good english so you will face no issue trying to get some tips around the city. Thank you so much Johan and family for welcoming us, we will recommend you to everyone looking for a place to stay in Cusco🩷

Live in a single room. The room is a bit small, the bed is big enough, but there is no table and no windows to the outside. The location is very close to the Plaza de Armas in Cusco, a five-minute walk and a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. For the price of more than 100, it is still worth it
