AAvinesh JayakumarUpon arrival in cerro catedral. Met by Samuel who was very warm and friendly. He and the morning receptionist (i’m sorry you were amazing i just forgot your name). They gave advice and offered options as my ski plans did not go as intended. Regardless this place has an incredible walking distance to Cerro Catedral base. That’s the compliments i can give.
This was the most expensive accommodation of my whole trip. I knew it was a simple ski lodge but upon arrival i told Samuel about my flight troubles and asked him what’s to order in room service. Was just the one option grilled chicken and your choice of side. Okay food arrived hot and well. Good portions but all the sauce packets given (at least 5 mustard and 5 ketchup) they were all expired as i opened the mustard to discover a thick foul smelling sludge. I was tired hungry and out of options i just ate the food without condiments.
Breakfast was as expected from Samuel’s description and had no issues but arriving at 9am for there to be scraps of eggs left. The ham looked very heavily processed with some clear rubber looking (it’s to be assumed as the fat) bits hanging off. Look maybe i’m being picky but for the money spent i’ve had far value for dollar in my years of travel.
Regardless, the noise you can hear in the rooms, from the lift, to foot steps, to neighbouring rooms. Hard to sleep especially with an early snow day tomorrow.
The room overall very ancient, pillows flat, the balcony light switch nowhere to be found. The outlets sparked everytime i’d try to insert something inside. TV too old for me to figure out how to use, Thank you Samuel for assisting me in figuring things out.
Regardless besides my abundance of complaints. I enjoyed my time having a location with a view of the mountains. Sheets and towels changed daily. Would’ve liked liquid soap but oh well.
Last thing is that the hot water was amazing and would last long enough for my shower. Greatly appreciated
GGuest UserHotel is very centrally located on a main shopping thoroughfare. Because of a fiesta it was noisy until about midnight. Very little English is spoken which was a problem when we asked for help with a cancelled flight. We moved to Hilton Hotel which was cheaper and much better in all respects.
Hotel Cristal is in need of updating. The Jacuzzi shower cubicle in our bathroom was extremely old and awkward to get in and out of and was totally useless. Only a spray head worked and the pressure was useless so goodness knows how it ever worked all the jets! Waited ages for hot water and then it would suddenly go freezing cold. Went for a drink in the bar and they could not offer a glass of wine. Wine only by the bottle! I asked about the notice saying Happy Hour and was told that was only if you had Campari or Vodka!
Buffet breakfast was fine.
Would I choose it again - no. Plenty other hotels in Bariloche.
DDr RogoAll was very good except that they charge 16 Us dollar per day and Person additional per Day and Person for using the Hotel attractions no matter if you use them o not and stay all time in your Room it's obligatory to everyone .
This Extra fee is nowhere assigned in the App and also not mentioned when you check in .. They take a payment of Garantie when you checkin to make sure that you pay the Fee.
It's a complety hidden fee . I book frequently Hotel with App and never ever had such additional fee .. Why they just don't put there complety Price for a room not Transparent as all hotelsprice do it.. It's like saying the cost 100 dollar by the Air you Herath you have to pay extra ..Extremly unfair and I had a long Discussion when I checked in ..finaly they payed Back this Rip Off fees ...!!
GGuest UserAmazing hotel by the lake, it’s also beside the Havanna chocolate museum. There’s a small recreational area at the breakfast area. In addition there’s a pool at level -6. It gives you access to the lake. Was great value staying here.
GGuest UserThe location is not bad, it is close to the urban environment near the lake. The room is very spacious and hygienic. It is also very good. The new hotel sanitary equipment is definitely no problem. The service is a little worse. It may be that the service staff asks too little, so the service can’t keep up. There is no relationship between fixed doormen. After all, a 5-star hotel has to leave its own luggage. It’s too much to say that it’s too late. The front desk also feels that it has not reached the scale of 5 stars. Others are quite good, and they don’t enjoy the 5 star service. Reach the service of a 3-star hotel
GGuest UserHotel location is 10 minutes drive from the city center. The environment is quiet and beautiful. The service is very good. The sanitation is also very clean. The hotel room is very beautiful. Very spacious. The room has windows in all directions. The air is great. I will consider staying next time.
GGuest UserОтель и правда 5 звезд!!! Вид шикарный, у меня был номер с балконом!!! Завтрак шикарный: кофе вкуснейший, красная рыба, фрукты, орехи! Бассейн выше всех похвал, часть бассейна на улице.
