It was great and convenient stay. The parking were quite hustled a bit (because the hotel were connected to the mall i guess), except if you added 50/15myr per day for the valet parking. The room were better compared to those other legend hotels in Tawau; the floor carpet bit dirty and furniture quite oldies. The tv were working fine. The toilet were average; not to dirty but not too clean also. Toiletries were okay BUT they don’t provide toothbrush. Hm. Also we got the room that were strategically behind the aircond blower of the mall. The room soundproof quite decent; you can still hear people talking when they were at the hallways. The mall behind got lot of shop; stalls, restaurant, saloon, cinema, massage parlour and at night, you can also enjoy a street food market 4 minutes by walking on the other side of the hotel. So far we enjoyed the stay here. The staffs were varies; some were good; some maybe tired or just lazy, idk but checkin and out process were smooth.

One of the standout features of this hotel is the efficiency of the staff. The check-in and check-out processes were super fast, which is always appreciated after a long day of travel. Additionally, the hotel provides free parking, a major plus for those of us driving in KK where parking can often be a challenge. The accommodations were excellent. Both the room and the toilet were spotless, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout my stay. I also appreciated that they were generous with essentials—there was sufficient drinking water provided, so I never felt the need to constantly request more. Breakfast at the hotel was a pleasant experience. While the quality of the food was nice, I did find the variety a bit limited and hope they can provide more choices in the future to keep the buffet exciting. However, the absolute highlight of the morning was the fresh juice station. It is easily the best part of the breakfast service; you can request specific fruits, and the staff prepares the juice freshly for you right on the spot. It’s a personalized touch that really elevates the meal.

Strategically located in the city centre. Walking distance to shopping malls, eateries, and the popular Gaya Street. Room was spacious, clean, and good for a single traveller like me. Much improvement and refurbishment/renovation is needed for its interior if this hotel intends to change from an old-school design to a newer and exclusive look. Otherwise, it gives an impression of a 1980s to 1990s era hotel room. The furniture is old and all buttons on the bedside drawers are not usable. The bathroom door has a squeaky sound.

I stayed at this hotel for three days right after arriving in the country, and I'm very grateful for its location, cleanliness, and the staff's kindness. The breakfast times and menu were also very satisfactory. I also appreciate the swimming pool facilities and the friendly staff who manage them. Furthermore, in terms of value for money, this hotel is top-notch. I'm also very thankful for the check-out time and service.

Overall, it's a nice hotel, but unfortunately, the rooms have a few issues. The cleanliness (hair in the bed and shower) wasn't entirely satisfactory. The windows don't close properly or are broken, leading to significant noise from the street. We were able to switch rooms, but even there, the window wouldn't close properly. The hairdryer was broken, but the staff immediately brought a new one. The air conditioning was also broken and was promptly repaired. So, the service is really great. All our questions were always answered, and the people were super friendly.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a ten-minute drive from the airport. Our sea-view room (7326) on the third floor had a balcony directly overlooking the ocean and a lawn, offering great views from the room itself. It was quiet and not crowded, as this building only has five floors. The downsides: the breakfast wasn't good, not really catering to a Chinese palate. Also, there isn't much of a beach next to the hotel; it's very small, mostly just a coastal boardwalk. Overall, it offers good value for money and a true holiday vibe. If you want to catch the sunset at Shangri-La, it's not a far taxi ride. I would still highly recommend it.

Service: Absolutely fantastic! They provide complimentary waterproof phone pouches, raincoats, eye masks, and other little essentials. Plus, there are free iced drinks and, best of all, free laundry service – perfect for a trip to Sabah! The laundry is super fast too, and the housekeeper is very responsive to guests' needs. Facilities: Not great, actually. The space is small, and the apartment design has some issues. The shower stall has a tiny bathtub that's neither comfortable for a bath nor spacious enough for a shower. And the sink is a nightmare – water splashes everywhere the moment you wash your hands, so it feels like you're washing your hands and feet at the same time. Environment: It's an apartment within the Imago mall. Plane noise is quite noticeable, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're a light sleeper. Since everyone takes taxis around here, convenience of transportation isn't really an issue. There's also a fish noodle restaurant in the mall that wasn't very good. Cleanliness: Good. It was clean and tidy, with no visible stains.

Perfect Getaway! This hotel on Mantanani Island, Kota Kinabalu, is an absolute gem! It's simply divine! I specifically came to Kota Kinabalu for Mantanani Island's crystal-clear waters, and I chose the Mantanani Hotel in advance. After staying there, I just had to give it five stars! The location is absolutely stunning. Step out, and you're on a soft, white sand beach. Open the balcony door, and you're greeted by the jelly-blue ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves every day was incredibly therapeutic. We booked a sea-view room; it was clean and spacious, the mattress had just the right firmness, and the shower water pressure was perfectly stable. There was no cramped feeling, which can often be the case with island hotels. I have to praise the service! The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They pre-arranged our island transfers and even proactively recommended snorkeling spots and delicious local snacks. They were always responsive and efficient. The hotel breakfast was also a pleasant surprise – freshly baked waffles with fresh mango, and freshly made Teh Tarik. The taste was absolutely spot on. In the afternoon, I relaxed on a hotel beach chair, enjoying the sea breeze, and in the evening, I had a barbecue at the hotel restaurant under the stars. The pace was wonderfully slow and comfortable – exactly the island vacation vibe I was looking for. If you're coming to Mantanani Island, I honestly recommend staying here. The experience is so much better than a day trip. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kota Kinabalu! Are you planning a trip to Mantanani Island soon? I booked this Loft thinking it was like any other Loft that i’ve stayed before. But this here, exceeded my expectations by 100%! Le Meridien KK, thank yoy for the best stay i’ve ever had in my life. A very very big thank you to Natalie & Elvinna at the Club Lounge and to Herna for the swift and fuss free check-in/check out. I will be planning to try the executive suite on my next visit. Thank you!

LLaozhang2008The hotel upgraded our room directly because part of it was under renovation, and they even added an extra bed for free. It was clean and hygienic, with excellent service and even Chinese-speaking staff. The breakfast was plentiful, the gym had a great atmosphere, and the sunset views were absolutely stunning. Highly recommended!

KKT5009Don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season. It's from Sep to Feb. I said 3 times it's important if you don't wanna ruin your holiday. We booked 3D2N in mid Sep. Our holiday turned out to be a staycation nightmare in the resort. We can't do all the water activities neither the jungle trekking. The water heater in our room is not working, we have to shower with shivering cold water in this kind of weather. Lots of big size anta inside the room crawling from the bathroom to the bedroom. Make sure you cleaned up for your snacks and drinks, tie up the garbage bag if you don't want these insects to come to your bed, There is also a landslide happening on our first night, luckily we are not affected as we stayed in the ocean villa. There is only one restaurant in this resort, food prices are the same as SG restaurant pricing, no cheap option here. In room dining needs to pay RM25 extra. Staff service is good but this cannot cover the several run down part of the resort.

GGuest UserWe chose the Ocean Wing room type, and the room was very spacious. The bathtub had a great ambiance. The overall service at the hotel was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The environment inside was beautiful, with complete facilities and many activities, including sunset paddleboarding. Plus, it wasn't overly crowded, so you didn't get that 'people-packed' feeling. It's perfect for a relaxing holiday and very unwinding.

GGuest UserOur stay at the Sagittarius Water Bungalow was absolutely fantastic! From our butler Xiao Gu to all the staff on the water bungalows and even the owners, everyone was incredibly nice. The rooms are equipped with smart Xiaomi home devices, clean and tidy. Opening the curtains reveals the beautiful 'jellyfish sea,' and the scenery is simply captivating. The food at the water bungalows is also delicious; breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner are all included in the price. Airport transfers and boat rides to the island are also covered, making it excellent value for money! We stayed for five days and four nights and didn't want to leave. The atmosphere on the island is also great, with KTV and song requests every night – the owner and his wife sing really well, by the way! The water bungalows offer a lot of entertainment, including sea fishing, snorkeling, glass-bottom boat tours, and drone photography. The local staff (Xiao Hei) are also happy to help with photos 📸. You can even get your diving certification and go on island-hopping day trips, keeping you thoroughly entertained. We came to Semporna specifically to get our diving certification, and the water bungalow's own dive shop is highly recommended. The instructors are very responsible and dedicated. I'd like to thank Xiao Li and Instructor Mohd Rizal Baba Selleh. The prices are fair, and the teaching focuses on the safety and skills of the students, which is very reassuring. The dive shop owner's wife is also super nice. All in all, this trip was incredibly worthwhile, and we'll definitely be back! I'll also be recommending it to my friends and family 😊

AAye_AkiraStayed here with family and overall had a pleasant experience, especially considering the competitive pricing. The room itself was excellent — very clean, spacious, and well prepared. The hotel followed our requests properly regarding the extra bed and breakfast arrangements, which made the stay much smoother for the family. Basic amenities were provided including shampoo, conditioner, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. We could not find a shower cap initially, but it seems it can be requested from the front desk. Breakfast was decent, though nothing particularly extraordinary. The resort offers quite a lot of fun activities and there were many families and local tourists during our stay, probably because of the holiday season. The view around the property was also very nice. In terms of design, the hotel feels somewhat similar to the neighbouring Shangri-La Rasa Ria, although naturally at a much lower price point, which makes it quite attractive value-wise. A few things to note: the road leading to the hotel was quite dark and a little confusing at night. There is also not much happening in the immediate vicinity after dark, so having your own transport is highly recommended. Since the hotel is rather far out, getting a Grab ride might be difficult at times. Thankfully, parking was ample for those driving. One small downside was that while the room cleanliness was top notch, the outdoor corridors had quite a lot of leaves, bugs, and dust. Being a resort surrounded by nature, this is somewhat understandable, but still noticeable. Overall, a good value family resort stay with spacious clean rooms, nice scenery, and plenty of activities, especially if you are travelling with your own vehicle 👍🏻

GGuest UserEverything was perfect. Every staff member at the resort was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even the maintenance workers I passed on the paths greeted me warmly. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast was absolutely perfect – I couldn't find a single fault. The resort doesn't cut back on service or close facilities just because there are fewer guests, which is great. It was a perfect getaway, and I will definitely be returning.

GGuest UserBefore coming here, I saw a lot of hotel horror stories on Xiaohongshu, but after checking in, I found it wasn't as bad as some people made it out to be. The hotel staff were quite friendly. The breakfast wasn't particularly amazing, but there was a good variety of options. The room facilities, especially the bathroom, are indeed a bit old, but overall it's acceptable. There's a small beach behind the hotel and also a swimming pool with shallow water, which is fine for kids. There's a restaurant by the beach, but it's very expensive and not very tasty. Overall, the experience was decent.
