It is a shrine that is located about a 10-minute walk from JR Suma Station. It's a little high. Suma no Seki is Settsu no Seki, which is prescribed by the Taiho Order. It is Suma no Seki that will take the stage on the Hyakunin Isshu composed by Genkanemaga. Sekimori Inari Shrine was enshrined as the guardian deity of this Seki. It is said that it was established in the middle of the ７ century as an important barrier next to "Sanseki of the world" and was abolished in ７８９. There are various theories about the place where it was installed, and it has not been confirmed. There is also a theory that it was in the precincts of Genkoji Temple because the stone monument excavated from the back of Genkoji Temple is carved as "Kawato Usekiya Ruins".

If you climb the slope, you will see a red raft, so I don't think you will make a mistake. The location is in a corner of a residential area and it is a narrow road, so it is difficult to go by car. Because it is a hill, it would have been a good place to see if it was the era of the author of the century and the song (late Heian period) when Suma no Seki (Settsu no Seki) was established.
