Delightful !
We almost missed out n this museum, as we didn’t realise it had limited opening hours - were so glad we didn’t. Whether you are into puzzles, architecture, woodworking or engineering, this place shoul...
Along Waseda-dori, on the side of Anahawachimangu, there is a half-timbered museum. Inside, you can experience traditional wooden architecture techniques, such as a large half-timbered model of the Yakushiji three-storied pagoda, in a close proximity. Admission is free, but the drawback is that there are many holidays.
Do you know the "Hacked Museum"? Get off at Waseda Station on the Tozai Subway Line, exit 2 and 3b, and it is located in the building next to Anahawachimangu along Waseda-dori. From the entrance on the 1st floor, take the elevator to the 3rd floor to the exhibition room. The hall is free of charge and you can complete the name at the reception and tour. Kazuo Tanigawa, the director who was engaged as an administrator at the site of traditional Japanese wooden architecture, collected wooden models and opened a museum with the desire to leave the technology to be inherited to later generations. ...
It is important to study a lot, but it is also important to know the history and meaning of the museum itself to be included in the purpose of exploring the museum.
It is a mini museum next to Mr. Anahawata, and it is a new museum that opened in the fall of 2015. The director is the master who also took charge of repair work for Anahawata. Most of the exhibits are OK to touch. Remove the half-timber and assemble it ... It was fun for adults to return to their childhood. When there is a director, he explains and it is doubled as fun. The entrance is difficult to understand, and the opening day is 3 weeks (Tuesday and Mizuki) in principle, so be careful when visiting.
