LLudaoluerjiao: The guesthouses on the island offer excellent service. They'll pick you up in a tricycle when you arrive, and it's only a five-minute walk from the pier. The rooms are relatively new, and the breakfast is quite good. It's excellent value for money.

OOvchinnikova: We liked it! I highly recommend this place, near the beach in 1 minute walk. We liked the guys of the hotel staff collecting separate garbage, and on the island sorting separately plastic, organic, carton and so on. For this, thank you very much for maintaining cleanliness not only in your hotel, but also on the whole island!

I'd like to tell you about the island where we began our exploration of the Maldives. It's the small island of Mathiveri, also known as Mathiveri. It's located in the northern Ari Atoll. We chose it for a reason. For us, it was the outermost island in the atoll, so we continued on by ferry toward Male and visited Ukulhas, Rasdhoo, and Thoddoo, saving a nice amount on speedboats. Tourists from other islands run to Mathiveri, specifically to the long and beautiful sand spit adjacent to the island. This is perhaps the island's main attraction. At low tide, you can simply walk from Mathiveri to the spit. At high tide, you can swim across on your own or rent a kayak. The island is also home to a concentration of manta rays and nurse sharks. Other islands offer 3-in-1 excursions (spit + sharks + manta rays), and many of them come here. The island is fairly quiet, with few tourists; during our visit, they were mostly Italians. Let's look at the pros and cons: ➕sandy spit; ➕close to manta ray and shark spots; ➕authentic island, not many tourists; ➕quiet beaches and streets. It was very peaceful. It's easy to find a free spot by the water to relax and read, no one bothers you; ➕we saw rays and sharks near the shore; ➕while snorkeling, we encountered reef sharks, moray eels, and various beautiful fish; ➕great spot for feeding nurse sharks on the pier! We could sit there for an hour just watching the nursery ruffed rayfish, large stingrays, and reef sharks that came to feast on fish heads discarded by fishermen 🦈 ➖Two beaches, one of which is a small bikini beach. This means you must be clothed on the second beach, even if you're going swimming. This drawback is offset by the sandbar, where you can wear a swimsuit. ‼️The Maldives is a Muslim country, and there's a dress code on this island.‼️ ➖The bikini beach isn't equipped with free sun loungers, like on many other islands. More precisely, there might be 1 or 2 sun loungers left, but overall, you'll most likely be relaxing on a towel. The hotel always provides a set of beach towels; ➖Little choice of hotels and cafes. We had dinner at Koba Chai. It's not bad there, by the way, but it's always crowded; We arrived during high season, and accommodations on this island were noticeably higher than on Ukulhas or Thoddoo. Choosing was difficult because they were mostly average guesthouses with clearly inflated prices; There's only one dive center. And since they have a monopoly here, shark and manta ray excursions can be even more expensive than on more remote islands. You can get to Mathiveri by speedboat or public ferry. 🛥️ Speedboat: $50 and 2 hours 20 minutes. ‼️Book strictly through your hotel, as we bought our tickets ourselves and weren't picked up from Male. Because of this, we missed our boat and had to leave on the evening one. The ferryman said something like "oops"‼️ ⛴️ Ferry: You can get there with a transfer in Ukulhas. The total journey time is about 6 hours, including a 50-minute layover. It'll cost no more than $15 per person, probably less. Departure from Male at 8:40 AM, arrival in Mathiveri at 3:05 PM. You can find the schedule for ferries 303 and 301 on the mtcc website. By the way, despite the distance from Male and all the downsides mentioned, we would even go back. I don't think I'd want to spend 5-7 days here because it would be quite boring. But a couple of nights is fine. I guess I just loved the sandbar and the pier with the sharks too much 🏝️ #maldives #Mathiveri #Mathiveri #mathiveri #maldives

Unlock a 5-day, 4-night family trip to the Maldives for 4k all-inclusive with kids, skipping the expensive resort islands. Carefully selected high cost-performance local islands, one-stop sea and snorkeling activities, maximizing value, with a comprehensive practical guide to copy directly. Core itinerary cost details Flights: Guangzhou-Kuala Lumpur-Male round trip, AirAsia flights, booking in advance can lock in prices under 2000 RMB, extremely cost-effective. Island selection: The three popular high cost-performance local islands in the Maldives are Fulidhoo, Fulhadhoo, and Mathiveri. For family trips, prioritize Mathiveri Island, which boasts stunning scenery, fewer crowds, affordable prices, and hotel rooms with breakfast included for just two to three hundred RMB per night. The spots for sea activities are nearby, and you can also take a ferry to and from U Island, making day trips very convenient. Island transfer: These islands are relatively far from Male. You can choose a $40 one-way speedboat transfer, or if time allows, opt for the ferry, which is more cost-effective. Accommodation: Recommended is Ever Blue Guest House. The guesthouse owner is warm and attentive, rooms are clean and tidy, bathrooms newly renovated, no water quality odor issues, only 4 rooms ensuring privacy, perfect for families with kids. Family activities Even non-swimmers can confidently enjoy snorkeling by booking through the guesthouse owner for $55 per person. A professional dive guide leads the group, so even beginners and non-swimmers can play safely. Multiple snorkeling spots are unlocked in one trip, including snorkeling around nearby resort islands to see stunning underwater scenery. The guide is patient and responsible, making it very reassuring for kids. Family dining recommendations Popular island restaurants include Kobachai, Badawins, and Sis. Kobachai offers generous portions and quick service, fitting the family dining pace; Sis restaurant has amazing flavors and great value. At these restaurants, two people can enjoy three dishes for about 300 Rufiyaa on average, with a wide variety of options that both adults and kids will love. Accommodation 🏨Blue Guest House, Mathiveri Island, Maldives A high cost-performance guesthouse on Mathiveri Island, clean and tidy rooms, warm and attentive owner, walking distance to the beach, very worry-free for families, and snorkeling bookings are super convenient. 🏨Resort Hotel, Fulidhoo Island, Maldives Hotel in the core area of Fulidhoo Island, beachfront view, family room options, walking distance to snorkeling spots, very convenient for kids to enjoy sea activities. 🏨Garden Inn, Male Airport Island, Maldives Core hotel on Male Airport Island, adjacent to the airport, with family-friendly leisure facilities, perfect for transit, no hassle traveling with kids. 🏨Guesthouse, Fulhadhoo Island, Maldives A hidden gem guesthouse on Fulhadhoo Island, quiet with few people, gentle and clean beach, cozy family rooms, perfect for immersive sea play with kids, very healing. ---

Unlock the joy of visiting a local island in the Maldives with kids, avoiding the high costs and crowds of resort islands. We chose the stunning Mathiveri Island, where you can relax by the sea, play in the sand, go on adventures, and go dolphin watching. The family experience is fantastic, and the cost performance is excellent. Bringing kids here is truly worth it! 💡 Core Family Experience, Kids Won't Want to Leave ✨ Sand Play on the Tidal Sandbar, Beautiful Family Time The tidal sandbar after low tide is breathtaking, with a super long beach extending into the sea and sand as fine as flour. Kids can play in the sand, build castles, and collect shells while parents join in, creating warm family moments. Be sure to bring the kids before 3 PM when the sunlight is just right and the sea view is stunning. The sandbar will be submerged after high tide, so don’t miss it~ The island is building a second tidal sandbar, which will provide an even bigger area for kids to play in the sand—super exciting! ✨ Uninhabited Island Adventure, A New Experience for Kids The uninhabited island next to the main island is gorgeous, with clearer water and cleaner beaches. At low tide, you can walk there with the kids along the tidal sandbar, spotting little crabs and fish along the way, which fascinates the kids. Taking photos and playing in the sand on the uninhabited island lets kids experience the pristine island scenery—this kind of adventure is a big hit with them~ Friendly reminder: Always check the tide schedule and return to the main island before high tide to avoid getting stranded. To save effort, you can also take a boat for just $10, which is smooth and easy. ✨ Manta Ray Watching at Sea, Big Kids’ Exclusive Fun The island’s dive center offers a variety of sea trips, including manta ray watching, shark spotting, and snorkeling. This island is known for easy manta ray sightings, which big kids love for the thrilling ocean experience. The staff are professional and caring, watching over the kids throughout, so parents can confidently let their kids join and unlock the ocean mysteries of the Maldives~ ✅ Best Value for Family Travel, Super Cost-Effective Accommodation: You can stay in a clean and tidy room for under 1000 RMB. Hotels provide family-friendly facilities like baby cots and electric kettles, making it very convenient for families. The staff are very friendly to kids and responsive to any requests. Meals: Dining on the island costs about 100 RMB per person per meal. Although not cheap, the food tastes good and there are kid-friendly simple meals like burgers, fries, and fried rice that kids love. ⚠️ Must-Know Tips for Traveling with Kids The island’s environmental management is somewhat lacking, with some trash on certain beaches and the uninhabited island. When playing with kids, avoid these areas. This is also a great opportunity to teach kids to protect the marine environment by picking up any trash they see, instilling environmental awareness, which is very meaningful. 💡 Family Maldives Local Island Recommendations For families with younger kids, we recommend Fulidhoo Island, which is cleaner and less commercialized, perfect for relaxing by the sea. For families with older kids who want adventure and sea trips, choose Mathiveri Island. The tidal sandbar and uninhabited island offer unique experiences, each with its own charm. Just pick based on your kids’ ages and preferences!

We decided to go on a Maldives vacation at the last minute, and the moment we saw the beach, sea, and coconut trees of Mathiveri with our own eyes, we couldn't help but exclaim how beautiful it was! As long as it didn't rain, we would go out for a stroll and occasionally run into the island owner. The beauty of Mathiveri is genuine but not luxurious, and there's no need to share it with thousands of tourists—it's a sparkling treasure island~ Although the weather on the local island was unpredictable with frequent heavy rain during these days, under the guidance of Xiao Xiao from TRAVELLOGIC HB, we had an experience at sea that far exceeded our expectations. Every time the sky cleared, Xiao Xiao immediately arranged a chartered boat trip for us (we tried all the activities in the package), spending four relaxed and fulfilling days~ Especially worth mentioning: on our first sea fishing trip, due to bad weather, we changed spots three or four times and only caught two fish haha. Xiao Xiao was worried we wouldn't be satisfied, so he arranged another trip later, and we returned fully loaded! Really happy!!! Xiao Xiao's wife was also online the whole time helping us solve problems—a super enthusiastic, friendly, and reliable couple. Finally, a loud shout: come to Mathiveri and find Xiao Xiao, safe, secure, and more fun! Highly recommended~!

This all-inclusive trip to Ganges Island and Mathieri was perfect – excursions and relaxing! We decided to come to the Maldives a week in advance, without any planning. But this trip was full of surprises. The beautiful scenery, the friendly people, and our guide, Xiao Xiao (TRAVLLOGIC HB), who arranged everything for us, made for an unforgettable experience. Choosing Xiao Xiao was a matter of fate; their service is their biggest highlight. Xiao Xiao himself is Chinese and personally guides tourists on the island, providing excellent service. Our package included a private boat (1-on-1 service), meaning just the two of us on a speedboat, each with our own dive guide! We were incredibly lucky during our excursions, seeing manta rays, turtles, dolphins, and even whale sharks!!! The whale sharks were constantly around Mathieri Island, and Xiao Xiao even added two more whale shark watching trips for us free of charge to the original itinerary!! The deep-sea fishing trip also included free Chinese-style boiled fish, which Xiao Xiao cooked perfectly – we finished it all! Our entire trip was from November 21st to 26th, a period that those who have been on the island will likely know…it rained the whole time!! Xiao Xiao was incredibly helpful; whenever it wasn't raining, he would immediately check the sea conditions and, if it was safe, take us out to sea. Although we were unlucky, encountering the rainy season during the dry season, it didn't affect our sea trip at all, and we had an amazing time!! Not only did we see everything, but we also got two extra whale shark watching trips on top of the original itinerary!!! (Of course, this was assuming there were whale sharks present). We stayed at VV, which was very new and clean. The rooms were large, with front and back yards. The room was nice, clean, and bright from the first glance. It was a 3-minute walk to the deserted sandbar beach. It was much better than the transit hotel we stayed at in Malé for over 800 RMB a night. The best part was that many other fellow countrymen were also staying at this hotel, and we made many new friends. Having started my own business early on, I know how difficult it is, and they were truly amazing! They arranged everything perfectly, and we had a wonderful time! Mathiveri Island is exceptionally beautiful, clean, and lovely! It's a place I would definitely visit again. A very beautiful island. I really clicked with Xiao Xiao; she's honest and hardworking. I've already recommended it to my friends!

Go1951W Islands, super beautiful water houses - highly recommended There is an underground nightclub on the island and the atmosphere is great! The full body massage is also a great experience! Especially snorkeling and hang gliding! With a jet ski
游楽楽The 1.5-hour speedboat ride was really uncomfortable. I recommend taking motion sickness pills in advance. But after arriving on the island, I felt really great. There were towering old trees and I didn't have to worry about being exposed to the sun. There was also the famous Tail Beach. I stayed in a premium sand house for 2 nights and a premium water house for 2 nights. In general, I liked the retro sand house. The water house was more modern, and there were not as many trees as the sand house.
晴子harukoA local island. + a selection of cafes + delicious food + sharks and stingrays swim to the pier + lots of shops with groceries and essentials + the beach is very well maintained - a lot of construction - a lot of unfinished buildings, which spoils the island's appearance - unreasonably high prices in the cafes
ТЕБMy stay at Constance Moofushi in the Maldives was nothing short of a dream come true. From the moment I arrived by seaplane to this tropical paradise, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The overwater bungalow I stayed in was like a piece of heaven on Earth, with direct access to the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. The resort's all-inclusive concept, which includes exquisite dining experiences, water sports, and wellness activities, added a level of convenience and luxury that's hard to beat. The coral reefs surrounding the island were a snorkeler's paradise, teeming with vibrant marine life. Constance Moofushi is a true oasis of serenity, where time seems to stand still, and you can simply relax, unwind, and connect with nature. If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the Maldives, this is the place to be. It's a place where every moment feels like a postcard-worthy memory, and I can't wait to return.
mrbigbearA truly amazing island! The accommodations aren't comparable to resort islands, but they're still clean and comfortable, and the food isn't as bad as bringing instant noodles! Enjoying such a beautiful island experience for a reasonable price, with opportunities for diving and experiencing the local culture is fantastic!
