Sept 3 Live | The Green of Changping Valley is Layered Healing 🌲

The green of Changping Valley comes in layers — tender new shoots, dark moss, and emerald lake water blending into one another like nature's own palette.

Towering fir trees surround you, and looking up, you'll catch glimpses of Yaomei Peak's snowy summit drifting in and out of the clouds. At 3,400 meters, the air is thin, but somehow your worries feel lighter too. Walking through the pristine forest, moss underfoot and streams murmuring nearby, you're wrapped in green — quiet, calming, healing.

🌿 Hiking Routes

· Easy: Take the shuttle to Lama Temple, then hike to Dead Tree Beach — about 2–3 hours round trip, already stunning.
· Advanced: Continue toward Muluozi for deeper forest and closer views of Yaomei Peak — about 5–6 hours round trip.

💡 Tips

· Altitude: Valley entrance ~3,200m; Muluozi ~3,700m. Walk slowly to avoid altitude sickness.
· What to wear: Layers — windproof jacket, fleece, quick-dry base. Non-slip hiking shoes essential.
· Sun protection: Strong UV — hat, sunglasses, sunscreen are a must.
· Getting there: ~4 hours from Chengdu to Siguniangshan Town, then shuttle into the valley.
· Best season: September–October — autumn colors mixed with lingering greens.
