🌟Play experience:
Universal Studios Japan was established quite early, and the park is huge, divided into 8 areas. Unique to Japan is the Super Mario area, as well as special zones for anime characters like Doraemon. The opening and closing times vary every day. We went in mid-August, just in time for the Obon holiday, so the park opened at 8 am and closed at 10 pm. It is recommended to queue up more than half an hour in advance, which makes it easier to enter the park. The staff politely ask you to check your bag, and food that can easily spill is not allowed inside. After successfully entering the park, we went straight to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with our strategy planned in advance, and in less than half an hour, we enjoyed the Forbidden Journey and the Flight of the Hippogriff, feeling almost as if we had bought an express pass. Both attractions were very fun, offering a standard thrill but with a great experience, leaving a lasting impression. It's best for early arrivals to head straight for the popular attractions. Then, reserve a timed entry ticket for the Nintendo area on the official website usj, which we got for around 10 am. After buying a small magic wand in Harry Potter and leisurely casting spells for photos, we walked to the Super Mario area for more pictures. Honestly, if you don't have an express pass, you might want to skip the popular Mario Kart ride. We queued up but didn't want to give up, and ended up spending a full two hours on this attraction, with no end in sight to the line, and the experience was somewhat childish and not worth the wait. If possible, have lunch at the Three Broomsticks in Harry Potter; if it's too busy, at least try a Butterbeer and a meat pie, which are absolutely amazing. By noon, my cousin and nephew were exhausted, and I had to give up on the attractions I wanted to visit in the afternoon. We quickly visited the Minions and Doraemon before leaving the park to return to the hotel. Although it was a bit of a pity, it's normal to have regrets when traveling, and there will be other opportunities to visit Universal Studios parks elsewhere in the future.
the place is amazing just as what I imagine, and the ride experience is very authentic, unlike other 4D ride in USJ and other themed parks
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park officially opened at Universal Studios on July 15, 2014. The park in Osaka has become the third park in the world based on the famous series of books and films. Two other parks are located in the USA. Among the main attractions of the Magical world, it is worth noting the attraction "Flight on a hippogriff", a copy of the village of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts Castle, as well as the attraction "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Forest".INTERESTING INFORMATIONOn the territory of the Osaka park "The Magical World of Harry Potter" there are two attractions that are not in the park in the USA — "The Life of Owls" and "The Black Lake of Hogwarts Castle".The restaurants serve Butterbeer children's beer. The drink is non—alcoholic, the cost is 1100 yen for a large mug.SPECIAL ATTENTIONThe opening hours of the Magic World coincide with the opening hours of Universal Studios. The schedule for four months is presented on the official website.
Just as the first movie was being plannedJK Rowling politely declined the invitation. In 2004,Rowling and Disney signed a preliminary letter ofintent, planning to establish a Harry Potter area in themagical kingdom, including shooting and attackingprojects with the theme of Defense Against the DarkArts and face-to-face sports projects with the themeof protecting magical creatures. Dissatisfied with therelatively small park planning and restricted projectcontrol, Rowling ultimately abandoned this intention.
this is probably the number one must-visit attraction for all Harry Potter fans! the replica of hogwarts and the diagon alley as well as the hogwarts express were so real that made me feel like being part of the fantasy. there you can buy lots of HP souvenirs. Must try the non-alcoholic ‘beer’ and roast chicken. very tasty.
really nice place. You should try to go at once if you have chance.Tips: try to go earlier as you cancuz there are always crowded
100% Harry Potter all day. The design and decor are such great representations of the books and films. you feel like you are in Hogsmeade for real. the food and the butterbeer were so yummy. the castle ride is intense and can be scary for young kids. we received the special wand from the ollivanders shop and the kids loved traveling around with it activating all the special experiences.
this is for all the Harry potter fans who have imagined the visuals when reading the books. You will feel as if you are living in the Harry Potter universe.
The best ride ever. The line was long but it was worth it. Amazing effects and thrilling experience.
