Kurimoto Jon was a doctor at the end of the Edo period and an official who could be used by the Shogunate. He is an important person at the end of the Edo period, who has also served as a foreign magistrate and a Hakodate magistrate. The remains of Kurimoto and Kumo's residence were about a 20-minute walk from JR Kinshicho Station, and only a monument remained a little far from Kuramaebashi-dori.
