TeamLab Planets: can’t miss attractionI visited Teamlab Planets in Tokyo in 2019 and although the exhibition is still pretty similar apart from 2 new room additions, it was still worth re-visiting 3 years later. Tickets need to be pre-booked in advance. They were sold out for 3 weeks when we looked at buying tickets but we checked last minute and some people must have canceled their tickets as there were a few available the night before. So if they’re sold out during your dates I’d still recommend checking to see if there’s been any cancelations. Tickets cost 3800 yen / $38 and you are allocated a time slot to arrive. TeamLab Planets is an immersive experience. You start by taking your shoes off and leave your bag and belongings in a locker. You can carry your phone and a camera. You’ll get a wrist band with the key for your locker, which is free. You’ll then walk through water for the first room, you get provided with towels to dry your feet. Another room you’ll be in water mid calf height, so dress accordingly, clothing that you can roll up to your knees. Several of the rooms also have mirrored floors, so women will want to be cautious about wearing short skirts, however there are free shorts you can rent. #TokyoOne World Just Go19

Becoming One with Art#tokyotrip TeamLab Planets Tokyo is an amazing experience to have an immersive art experience. There are spaces where you walk through water and interact with light displays, where you feel like you are floating with flowers while smelling floral bouquets, and see amazing mirrored reflections. Tickets here sell out quickly, so it is best to book your visit ahead of time. Women should also avoid wearing short skirts because of all the mirrored floors, but they do have rental shorts available. #japan #tokyopoohwubear13
Galaxy WorldFinally got to visit teamLab’s Crystal universal in Tokyo to see the real deal! We do have a similar exhibition in Singapore at ArtScience Museum however it’s not as extensive as the one in Japan. The one in Singapore is a one human pathway. However the exhibition room in Tokyo is HUGE, with many photo opportunities and short walks without squeezing with others like the one in Singapore. The artwork is interactive and colours changes, it also represents the infinite galaxy. I like how spacious the room is and it really feels like the infinity. Water ArtBe prepared to walk into water when visiting the teamLab planet exhibition that was featuring a Koi Pond while I was there. My photos are not blurred! It’s just the projection being diffused on the water. And it’s also interactive. As with all teamLab’s installation this is interactive and the koi will move away and turn into a flower when you are near them. Visitors will have to pass through this exhibition walking through the water (shorts are provided if needed). Magical Floating OrchidsStep into a garden of floating orchids at TeamLab Planet’s in Tokyo. The flowers goes up and down through a mechanical system, creating spaces for visitors to interact with the flowers as it goes up and down. Together with the reflection from the mirror on the floor, it gives an infinite feeling and space. The orchids are real and being taken care of by the museum. It is said that orchids are able to survive without soil as they were the “newest” flower species to come into earth and thus lost spots in the soil 😂. Flower curtains, infinity rooms, glowing eggsTeamLab Tokyo was one of the highlights of my Tokyo trip. The creativity of each exhibition blew my mind. Every single part of the exhibition was heavily interactive and immersive. It was truly an experience that was out of this world. From the infinity rooms filled with LED light curtains that fell from the ceiling to infinity rooms of real fresh flower curtains, the exhibition engaged our senses of sight, hearing, touch and even smell. The exhibition also required us to walk barefooted and on different textures. There was a room filled with memory foam that was extremely difficult to walk and there was a room filled with water up to our knees with interactive projections cast onto the water. Artistic world of wonder in a bustling cityI’d you’re heading to Tokyo then a trip to team lab planets is essential! head to Shin Toyosu station and it’s right at the bottom of the stairs so it’s easy to get to. But it’s very popular so book a ticket ahead for your designated time slot. We arrived on time for our slot but the queue was still pretty big, so arrive early if you can! The exhibitions are split into two sections, water and garden. You have to go barefoot for the duration but there are lockers for your shoes and slippers for the outdoor parts. The whole experience is incredible and I’d really recommend it but there are a few tips. > Get ready to go straight in, go to the toilet before you arrive and get your shoes into the first locker and head to the entrance. This gives you a head start against the crowds so you can have time alone in the exhibitions for photos > The passageways to get from each room are very narrow and dark so it’s not for anyone who is claustrophobic. > There are also some steep climbs and knee deep water in dark rooms so not for those easily scared! Have fun with Art 🖼️TeamLabs planet Tokyo is one place in my memories. This place help me enjoy with art and each zone has different idea and design. Everyone must take out sock and shoe before entrance because they have mirror on the floor some area and you can feel nature art. Everyone will clean your feet by walk waterfall. First zone is LED which change color and format with relax music. Second zone is walk on river simulate with art light projection (knee high water). Third zone is night simulate with graphic. I saw a lot of people sleep on the floor and see it on ceiling. Garden zone is egg stainless design and have simulate garden on ground. TeamLab Planet Tokyo was like stepping into my own dream world. The immersive art installations were mesmerizing, blending reality with fantasy seamlessly. Despite the crowds, it was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend.
Easy to go there just next to Shin-Toyosu station. Very cool experience. Time to enjoy the interesting artworks with lighting, color and sound. It was very nice and fun feel so relax. Worth it!
