The hotel rooms are clean and well-equipped; my room even had a projector! There are also small balconies with a table—perfect for chatting in the morning or evening. By the way, the view is quite nice for a hotel located on the upper floors; they’ve set up a small park on the 18th floor, which looks lovely. Another plus is the toilet—unusual for China—featuring a heated seat and even a bidet! I tried it for the first time ever, and it was great. Also, there are no key cards for room access; everything works via a PIN code provided through WeChat (along with the Wi-Fi details). I’m not sure if that’s a pro or a con, but it’s something to keep in mind. As for the downsides: there are no complimentary water bottles to drink or take with you on the go. However, there is a kitchen (not in every room) with a tap featuring a built-in water filter—which is also a rarity. The hotel’s location is a bit tricky, though they have tried to put up signs. If you’re arriving by metro, finding the right elevator in the tunnels takes some effort—it’s easy to get confused and lose your way.

Super convenient for exploring the city 🚇 🏢 Room: Stayed on the 36th floor (highest level) – the view was absolutely stunning! 🌃 Room looks modern and very clean. 🧺 Amenities: Loved the mini fridge, washing machine AND dryer in-room 🧼👕 – so practical for longer stays! 🪳 One downside: Unfortunately spotted a cockroach during my stay, which was disappointing. But it was taken care of by the cleaner. Otherwise, this would easily be a 10/10! Overall: Great value, amazing view & facilities – just hope the hygiene issue gets addressed. Would still recommend with a small caution. ✨

From the moment we arrived, the reception staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality and attentive service. They were always ready to help with recommendations, bookings, and any questions we had throughout our stay. The location is absolutely fantastic for travelers. The hotel is conveniently close to the metro, making it incredibly easy to explore the city without worrying about transportation hassles. Whether you're heading to tourist attractions, business meetings, or shopping districts, getting around is seamless and efficient. What really impressed us was the surrounding neighborhood. The bus station nearby provides additional connectivity options, and the area is surrounded by a vibrant mix of modern amenities and authentic local culture. We loved having a mall within easy reach for any shopping needs or casual dining, but the real highlight was discovering the incredible local cuisines just steps away from the hotel. From street food stalls to charming family-run restaurants, we enjoyed exploring the diverse flavors and dishes that gave us a true taste of the local culinary scene. The combination of boutique charm, excellent service, unbeatable location, and rich neighborhood experiences made this stay truly memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for convenience without sacrificing local character!

This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel is located in the heart of Tianhe, within walking distance of the subway station, surrounded by shopping malls like Zhengjia and TaiKoo Hui. All sorts of dining options and convenience stores are readily available, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The room was meticulously cleaned, with no strange odors upon entering, and had excellent natural light. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The in-room facilities were well-maintained, and the WiFi was fast and stable. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient during both check-in and check-out. There's also a self-service laundry room, which is very practical for travelers. For this location, the price offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend it for both business trips and leisure travel.

The property is perfect in terms of quality but accessibility it not convenient as you need to walk up several sets of stairs to enter the complex. Not ideal if you have heavy, cumbersome luggage. Having the facility to wash your clothes on site if a massive bonus and made it very convenient. Especially during my stay when it was hot, humid and severely raining. Overall I couldn’t not fault the location. Central to everything you want to see and do in Guangzhou. I highly recommend it if you on a budget or you don’t like busy crowds or you want to have a feel for local cuisine and lifestyle.

Great location not far from the South and North Airport of Guang. Terminal 1 transfer available, also Bus 708 will take you pretty much there. Watch for the direction the further away from exit gates goes north that is what you need. The hotel might had better days looking at the pictures, now it is more China feeling than Switzerland. But the staff is there 24/7 and helps you with basic needs. Book your transfer ahead as you might not have space on the time slot needed. Just one street away there is a vivant food stores and restaurants available, you can have a taste experience in Cantonese food.

I’ve stayed at J Residence many times, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. This place is truly a hidden gem. What makes it so special isn’t just the property—it’s the people. Every time I return, I’m welcomed by the same friendly faces. Even the wonderful housekeeper who cleans my room has been there every stay, and that consistency makes me genuinely feel at home. The location is simply unbeatable. Within a short walk you’ll find everything you could possibly need: fast food, excellent local Chinese restaurants, upscale dining, Michelin-starred restaurants, supermarkets, luxury shopping malls, and a beautiful park that’s perfect for an evening walk. In my opinion, it’s the best location in Guangzhou. A special thank you to Kayee, the manager. He is absolutely exceptional. Even on his days off, he always makes himself available to help with anything you need. That level of care and dedication is incredibly rare. Over the time, he has become not just a fantastic manager, but also a friend and an amazing human being. My stays in Guangzhou are typically two to three weeks at a time, and I can honestly say there is no hotel—five-star or otherwise—that I would choose over J Residence. It offers something that luxury hotels often cannot: genuine hospitality, comfort, and the feeling that you’re coming home. If you’re looking for a place that will exceed your expectations, I cannot recommend J Residence highly enough.

It’s just a short walk from the East Gate business district, offering everything you need for travel, dining, and entertainment. It’s highly recommended for friends visiting Shenzhen.

The room is clean, tidy, and clutter-free, with warm decor that feels cozy and relaxing. The duplex layout is open and spacious. It's fully equipped with essential appliances like a fridge, washing machine, and dryer, and the internet is stable. The floor-to-ceiling window offers an excellent view, and the city lights at night are truly mesmerizing. Downstairs, there are all sorts of food options nearby, and it's a quick walk to North Station, making transfers to high-speed rail and subway effortless and time-saving. It meets all your travel accommodation needs, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free stay.
