Guest UserWhile the room is aged and not an exact match for the photographs provided, services are freely provided (via WeChat contact and requests). The location is ideal for access to Beijing Walking Street, restaurants and malls. Additional days were easily obtained, again via WeChat request. The washer and dryer facilities were invaluable! I think, without a dryer nothing would dry as it is a very humid environment. A/c made the room comfortable. River view is… ok; we had a comfortable stay and I would use this place again. I do feel it is priced above what it actually offered, but it was comfortable, roomy and all my requests were met in a friendly and timely manner. I would recommend it, with this understanding.

We had a wonderful experience at Aita Boutique Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the reception staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality and attentive service. They were always ready to help with recommendations, bookings, and any questions we had throughout our stay.
The location is absolutely fantastic for travelers. The hotel is conveniently close to the metro, making it incredibly easy to explore the city without worrying about transportation hassles. Whether you're heading to tourist attractions, business meetings, or shopping districts, getting around is seamless and efficient.
What really impressed us was the surrounding neighborhood. The bus station nearby provides additional connectivity options, and the area is surrounded by a vibrant mix of modern amenities and authentic local culture. We loved having a mall within easy reach for any shopping needs or casual dining, but the real highlight was discovering the incredible local cuisines just steps away from the hotel. From street food stalls to charming family-run restaurants, we enjoyed exploring the diverse flavors and dishes that gave us a true taste of the local culinary scene.
The combination of boutique charm, excellent service, unbeatable location, and rich neighborhood experiences made this stay truly memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for convenience without sacrificing local character!

Guest UserThe hotel's location is a major plus, being close to a subway station which makes getting to major shopping areas incredibly convenient. There are also a wide variety of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and fresh, with no unpleasant odors, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. All facilities were well-maintained, and I appreciated the complimentary room upgrade and late checkout service. Overall, the comfort level was high. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and smooth, and the staff were friendly and responsive to requests. The pricing is very reasonable, offering outstanding value for money. Whether for a short trip or a business visit, this hotel is a perfect choice, and I would gladly stay here again next time.

Liam UKThe property is perfect in terms of quality but accessibility it not convenient as you need to walk up several sets of stairs to enter the complex. Not ideal if you have heavy, cumbersome luggage. Having the facility to wash your clothes on site if a massive bonus and made it very convenient. Especially during my stay when it was hot, humid and severely raining. Overall I couldn’t not fault the location. Central to everything you want to see and do in Guangzhou. I highly recommend it if you on a budget or you don’t like busy crowds or you want to have a feel for local cuisine and lifestyle.

I had a transit stay in Guangzhou and booked a room at Jiazhou Shishang Apartment. The location was very convenient, especially being close to the airport, which made it a practical choice for a short layover. The hotel also provided airport pick-up and drop-off service, making transportation easier and stress-free.
The room was reasonably clean and comfortable, though the facilities were fairly basic. The staff were helpful, but communication in English could sometimes be a bit challenging.
Overall, it is a good value-for-money option for a short transit stay. However, for a longer or more luxurious stay, you might consider other accommodation options.

DEckertI’ve stayed at J Residence many times, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. This place is truly a hidden gem.
What makes it so special isn’t just the property—it’s the people. Every time I return, I’m welcomed by the same friendly faces. Even the wonderful housekeeper who cleans my room has been there every stay, and that consistency makes me genuinely feel at home.
The location is simply unbeatable. Within a short walk you’ll find everything you could possibly need: fast food, excellent local Chinese restaurants, upscale dining, Michelin-starred restaurants, supermarkets, luxury shopping malls, and a beautiful park that’s perfect for an evening walk. In my opinion, it’s the best location in Guangzhou.
A special thank you to Kayee, the manager. He is absolutely exceptional. Even on his days off, he always makes himself available to help with anything you need. That level of care and dedication is incredibly rare. Over the time, he has become not just a fantastic manager, but also a friend and an amazing human being.
My stays in Guangzhou are typically two to three weeks at a time, and I can honestly say there is no hotel—five-star or otherwise—that I would choose over J Residence. It offers something that luxury hotels often cannot: genuine hospitality, comfort, and the feeling that you’re coming home.
If you’re looking for a place that will exceed your expectations, I cannot recommend J Residence highly enough.

Guest UserThis place deserves special praise. The hygiene standards far exceeded expectations, and the entire apartment was meticulously cleaned to leave not a speck of dust behind. The rooms were fully equipped and brand-new, and the audio-visual equipment provided a great experience. The staff were extremely attentive throughout the stay, arranging convenient pick-up and drop-off services at the port. The air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly. It’s just a short walk from the East Gate business district, offering everything you need for travel, dining, and entertainment. It’s highly recommended for friends visiting Shenzhen.

As someone who has stayed across multiple CapitaLand and Somerset properties over the years, I usually have a fairly clear benchmark of what to expect in terms of layout consistency, operational standards, and guest experience. Unfortunately, my recent stay at Somerset Haizhu Centre Guangzhou fell noticeably short of that brand standard.
Starting with the physical condition of the unit, the overall upkeep feels tired. The tiles and grout in particular were visibly dirty in several areas, which immediately gave the impression that the property is overdue for a proper refresh or renovation. For a serviced residence positioned under the Somerset brand, this is quite a basic maintenance expectation that was not met.
The apartment configuration also felt oddly thought through. A two bedroom unit designed for four guests, yet only one bathroom is provided. At the same time, there are three televisions in the unit, which feels disproportionate and not particularly practical from a guest usability standpoint. It is one of those setups where design decisions seem disconnected from actual guest needs. If this is the actual configuration, it would be more honest and guest friendly to label it plainly as a “两房一厕套房” rather than a “两房豪华套房” that implies a higher level of convenience than what is actually provided.
Operationally, there were several gaps in service delivery. At check in, there was no clear explanation of facilities, no proactive sharing of key information, and even basic essentials like the WiFi password were not provided until I had to ask for it myself. These are small touches, but they significantly affect the overall arrival experience, especially for a serviced residence.
Housekeeping provisioning was also inconsistent. For a four person booking, only three towels were provided. Similarly, there were only two glasses in the bathroom area, and no cutlery or basic kitchenware setup was provided, which is usually standard across Somerset properties. These inconsistencies make the stay feel more like a partially serviced apartment rather than a fully serviced residence.
On the facilities side, the gym not operating twenty four hour access is another miss, particularly for business or long stay guests who expect flexibility. The in room amenities also need attention. Hot water in the shower was only reliably consistent for about ten to fifteen minutes before turning noticeably cooler, which makes longer showers inconvenient.
There were also very limited charging options in the room, with no proper USB or conveniently placed plug points for modern device charging needs. This is increasingly a basic expectation in serviced accommodation today.
Overall, while the location and brand affiliation might set certain expectations, the execution at this property does not reflect the usual Somerset standard I have experienced elsewhere. In its current state, it really feels like the property requires a significant operational reset and likely a refurbishment to align back with brand positioning and guest expectations.
