The hotel is new, with clean rooms with an acceptable dimension. In terms of location, the hotel is well connected in terms of public transportation (that is free in Luxembourg) but is a bit isolated (it’s in a new area surrounded by construction work and/or offices/ residences (during the weekend and holidays was deserted). Finding a place for dinner at walking distance during the weekend was a challenge and the hotel doesn’t offer option besides a simple breakfast.
Frontdesk staff was friendly and supportive.
I stayed at the DoubleTree Luxembourg with my 80-year-old father, who is unwell and was extremely tired after a long day of travelling. Unfortunately, the room we were given was right next to the elevator motors, and the noise kept both of us awake almost the entire night. My father finally managed to fall asleep around 7:00–7:30 AM after hours of discomfort.
However, at 8:00 AM, there was a knock on our door. I opened it half-asleep, and the staff member simply said “It’s ok” and walked away. I later saw the same person again in uniform, so clearly they were a member of the hotel team. I still cannot understand why they knocked at that time, and what exactly was “ok,” especially when it was obvious the room had severe noise issues and guests could still be resting.
I shared all of this with the reception team and politely asked to speak with the manager. Instead of a brief conversation or even a quick acknowledgment, I was handed a handwritten note with the manager’s email. After travelling with an elderly parent who was in pain and exhausted, I was genuinely hoping for a bit of understanding or empathy. Even a short apology would have meant a lot at that moment.
I should mention that breakfast was also quite basic and didn’t match the DoubleTree standard I’m familiar with, so overall the stay was unfortunately far below what I usually experience with Hilton properties.
I’m writing this not to complain for the sake of complaining, but because the situation placed my father—who is already unwell—under a lot of unnecessary stress. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, this experience was difficult for me, and I sincerely hope management can review what happened and decide on an appropriate way to make this right.
Awesome hotel. It has a lot of history and the interior decoration is very beautiful. It is not one of those hotels that give people a sense of wealth. There are many historical objects in the interior decoration. The grandpa at reception is very cute and kind:)
Very convenient location. From March 2, 2025, the tram goes directly from the airport through the whole city. They do not register or accommodate you earlier, but you can leave your things. There is a microwave on the 1st floor where you can warm up food. For some reason, only one towel
Hotel was well located nearby hiking trails and other attractions. The room was very nice, and the facilities in the hotel (sauna, gym) were also great.
Breakfast was plentiful. Dinner was just ok.
generally, i would recommend this place and would stay again.
lastly its important to note: they originally tried to give me a different room than the one i had booked (of course one 'inferior'). the staff tried to say that there was nothign to be done as the platforms (such as Trip, Booking, etc) ”oversell” rooms and then the hotel can't fulfil this request .... this is the first i've come across something like this, and after some insisting, i was placed in the room i booked. still, this left a strange note for the start of my trip.
The location is great. There are buses and a small city train station right outside the door. The transportation is very convenient. I give it a five-star rating for this. The breakfast is rich, the service is friendly, you can store your luggage for a long time, and there is a free car to pick you up from the airport.
The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the tram station, making it easy to reach the city center. Overall, this was the best hotel of our entire Europe trip. We would definitely stay here again.
It's only an 11-minute walk from the train station and about 10-15 minutes to the old town. The location is really great!
The hotel facilities are all new, the rooms are large, the dry and wet separation design is praised, and the supplies are also good, but the location of the shower room is a bit inhumane (a bit open).
All mini bars are free, and I was upgraded to a room with a better view. It was really amazing when I opened the curtains.
The bedding was a bit soft, but overall the sleep was good. (But I need to complain that we who live on the 7th floor were disturbed quite a lot by the music in the bar upstairs at night. It was almost 1 o'clock when the sound became quieter).
Breakfast is on the top floor, and the whole view is really great! We were lucky enough to sit by the window, which improved our breakfast experience! The breakfast selection is pretty good, with some a la carte + buffet. The taste is not particularly good but I am very satisfied!
Finally, I would like to give a big thumbs up to the service here, everyone is so patient and friendly! The guy at the front desk could speak a little Chinese and gave us chocolates.
Location was good, but service was underrated, we booked from trip for 2 adults and one baby but they received confirmation for 2 adults, we need to explain the status one more time. Room was small and with baby bed it became more smaller. Air conditioning was with separated klima unit inside the room. For bathroom they don’t have slippers. Check-in was 4.00pm almost evening :)
This hotel is well placed in a quieter area and the free bus is available just outside the door. The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were really clean. They serve a good buffet breakfast in a lovely small room. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

GGuest UserExcellent location for the tram or train and a 15-minute walk to restaurants. The location is down a side street filled with bars and clubs, so perhaps not suitable for families with younger children.
Very clean rooms, small but all you need for a night's stay in a city.

SSanja L.📍 Location:
It is less than 10 minutes from the train station, and it only takes10-15 minutes to walk to the main sightseeing area.
🧹 clean:
Overall it is very good, not very amazing, but there are some ~
💰 price:
It is not high in terms of cost performance, but because it is relatively temporary, overall it is OK.
🛜 Internet:
Free WiFi, quite fast
💁 Other:
The accommodation staff provides maps of tourist attractions in the city, and tells you that you can take the light rail to the main sightseeing area about two stops.
