JjaminggqinmmMercure Khiva opened just this year and features a courtyard-style layout covering a very large area. Unfortunately, the room size itself is a bit small, which is a bit of a pity. I originally booked a king room, but the check-in slip showed a twin room. After communicating with the staff, they pushed the beds together, which delayed our schedule slightly. The front desk is advised to double-check reservations more carefully.
The soundproofing is indeed very good, but there is still some lingering new-renovation smell, though fortunately, the windows can be opened for ventilation. The breakfast selection isn't exceptionally vast, but it includes local specialties and fruits, and the taste is decent.
The location is the biggest highlight—right at the North Gate of the ancient city, offering a quiet yet convenient spot with effortless walking access to the old town. However, the most unexpected aspect was the hotel's atmosphere: it borders a large tomb/mausoleum, and right outside the lobby, there is a stone sarcophagus—presumably left in place because it couldn't be moved during renovation. It definitely maximizes the novelty factor, though it doesn't affect a normal stay.
The only real concern is the construction quality. Being newly opened, the bathroom walls are already cracking, the baseboards in the room are warping, and the suction on the bathroom glass door is so strong that the entire door frame shakes when opening it, making it a bit worrisome that it might collapse. Hopefully, the hotel will inspect and reinforce these areas soon. Overall, the location is excellent and the atmosphere is unique, but the hardware details need improvement.

LLilly dexiaoshijieThe hotel is located in the old city, which is great for daily strolls, allowing us to easily return for a rest whenever we wanted. They offer triple rooms, and while breakfast is simple, it's filling. The staff's English is excellent, making communication seamless, and the service is good. You can call the front desk to book airport pickup and drop-off. The hotel terrace offers fantastic sunrise views!
However! When we arrived, the hotel was undergoing simple renovations, which Trip.com and its agents failed to inform us about! This seriously affected our health! But once we checked in, it was non-cancellable! And at that time, we weren't even sure if we could find another hotel. There were paint cans in the hallway, so our room had a strong renovation smell. I immediately contacted Trip.com customer service, but regrettably received no response, absolutely no response! Not even from a human agent! It wasn't until I checked out that they offered me a so-called 'solution'! I expressed my dissatisfaction to customer service and hoped Trip.com would take international bookings seriously and fulfill its responsibilities!
Regarding the hotel service, after I reported the issue, the front desk attendant showed me all the remaining rooms, but unfortunately, they all had the same smell. He then helped us turn on the ventilation fan; in short, he did everything he could to help. We had no choice but to make do for one night.
If you plan to stay a month from now, I would still recommend it!

GGuest UserThis hotel is located within Ichon Qala, the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Khiva. The cleanliness, location, service, facilities, and amenities were all wonderful, and the staff were incredibly kind. It was the best quality hotel I stayed at in Uzbekistan, and I would love to visit again!
What I liked:
• The room was super clean
• Excellent location
• Delicious breakfast
• Enjoyable conversations with the staff
• They helped exchange USD to local currency
What I found a bit disappointing:
• Honestly, nothing at all (seriously!)

KKelameisufensanpianI don’t like the series, the hotel is very beautiful, the decoration is good, the sanitary conditions are very good, it is very quiet, the service attitude is good, but the infrastructure is really bad, I stayed for two days, of which there was a power outage for half a day, and the water was cut off many times. I have to call the front desk for a while to have water and cold. Hot guess, I haven't taken a good bath, breakfast is more perfunctory, not even an omelette, just a few basic ingredients and bread slices for salad, shabby, and the tableware is obviously not clean, not recommended.

SSimone Ch.The two boys at the bank are very nice and careful to every need. The rooms are very new and all comforts. I felt home, even for one night. If I should go back to Khiva, I would certainly choose this structure.

44ram2daI was flustered by the sudden messages and even phone calls on WeChat.
I asked for an extra key card just in case, but was refused.
The room I was given was large, but I didn't find it particularly good.
The bed was covered with a mere cloth, not even a thin duvet.
There was a tiny mini-safe sitting there instead of a proper safe.
In the evening, when I ordered a bottle of beer at the rooftop bar, someone brought me leftover beer. I asked for a replacement, and they did, though they seemed unaware of the situation.
I felt uncomfortable because they kept trying to sell me other products.
It would probably be better not to include breakfast.
However, the location is excellent.
