I loved this hotel. Genial staff always looking to be of help. Breakfast was great. Location great for eating with many restaurants. Yerevan is small and should be done on foot. Room was clean and well-appointed. Just a tad too small for an opened suitcase. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Came to Yerevan on a business trip, the hotel was recommended by the client, near Republic Square, very convenient for eating and traveling around, the lady at the front desk could speak some Chinese, very friendly, great!
The room was better than expected, clean and tidy. I had a bad experience staying in Tbilisi before. I looked at many hotels in Yerevan and thought they were all average. In the end, I decided to stay at Ibis and was quite satisfied with the result. The surrounding attractions are all within walking distance.
A wonderful hotel, not far from the center of Yerevan. The staff is very responsive, when help was needed, they not only explained, but did everything they could and really helped! Delicious breakfasts, cookies and fruits in the lobby. I would like to separately note the pool, jacuzzi and hamam. There is a beauty salon and spa area, a gym, restaurants and cafes. I definitely recommend it
The room temperature didn't rise. I told the front desk the next morning and they said they would have someone check it out. When I returned to the room that night, it didn't change. It was always at 20 degrees. The air conditioner could only reach 22 degrees all night. I told the front desk that night and they asked the manager to bring a heater, but they didn't bring it. This is a big problem
The room was very satisfactory. The front desk lady also gave us some delicious cookies. They should have been freshly baked and were warm in the hand! The city center is very close to the square!
A good hotel for exploring the city. The location is excellent, special thanks to the girls at the reception, especially Sonya and Marina, all issues were resolved quickly and professionally. I can't say anything about the food, I didn't take breakfast, it seems to me that the cost of breakfast at 9000 drams is greatly overpriced, there are many excellent cafes and restaurants nearby with breakfasts 3 times cheaper.
First of all, the location of the hotel is an absolute advantage. It is near Republic Square. It is only a three-minute walk to the square and about six or seven minutes to the subway station. Convenient for transportation, food, drinks and entertainment! The environment is also good, clean and tidy. For us Chinese, there are not many choices for breakfast, so just eat enough!
I thought I could have a good night's sleep, but at around 5 a.m., a sound like a car starting suddenly came from the air-conditioning vent above the door, which woke me up. After looking for the sound for a long time, I continued to sleep in a daze. (The rooms in the back are usually available after a little more than half an hour. After getting up and going out, I still heard it until I came back to check out at 11:45. There is a video, but it is less than five seconds and only 4 seconds. Ctrip does not allow it to be uploaded.) Then to 6 When I was about to wake up, the alarm clock on the bedside clock went off for some reason. I was scared to death! I'm really speechless!
It’s a bit against my will to give this score, but the Armenians are friendly to the Chinese and don’t want to give a bad review!
The hotel is most likely suitable for one night, location - center (not far from Republic Square) and bus stop #100 to the airport. You can hear 100% of everything that happens in the next room, on the street, in the corridor (earplugs are a must!). Breakfasts: scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, a couple of cold cuts and cheeses, tea/coffee.

Great
EElizabethI’ve never written a bad hotel review ever in my life, but unfortunately, here it goes. It’s a shame since other past reviews are very positive, but I need to be frank and honest about my experience and will be diving the ratings according to subcategories so that it is fair, since some aspects of the stay were great and some not so much.
Check in process: 2 stars
This is not the ‘typical’ hotel entrance where the lobby is on the ground floor. The floor in which you enter is 1/f. The floor of the hotel is 4/f, but this is clearly stated as a signage at the entrance (see photo attached).
Upon arrival, I went towards the hotel entrance . There, I stood in front of an operating system, where guests would need to enter the hotel using a key fob. Of course, I wouldn’t have this key fob at hand at check in. There are no clear instructions in any language above the operator stating how you should call the receptionist using the operator to open the door for you (refer to attached photo). Thankfully, a passerby was kind enough to help me call the receptionist and asked her to open the door for me. It is also better to have mobile data at hand so you can communicate with the staff via whatsapp text/call if you cannot enter, since I think this is the faster means of communicating with guests.
When I checked in, I explained my confusion to entering the building. I told the receptionist lady that I couldn’t enter since there are no instructions in any language above the operator. She then had the audacity to tell me that there ARE indeed instructions above the operator im English, and I should have followed it. Again, the photo I attached shows no such instructions, so I do not comprehend what she is talking about at all.
Upon departure, I voiced out these issues, and the more reasonable receptionists said that they usually send these check in details via email, though I had not received such email(s).
Noise level and disturbance: 2 stars
My room had really thin walls and you can easily hear people passing through in the hallway. I got to a room with a balcony and up until 2 am, I still continuously heard 2 women talking loudly non-stop in the room next to me. To attempt to put a halt to this, I called the receptionist using the calling button thrice in my room, since the initial receptionist lady who checked me in said they provided 24 hour service, and to my dismay, no one bothered answering me.
I had to personally take matters into my own hands and asked them to keep it down.
Room and amenities: 5 stars
In terms of amenities provided within the room and how it was renovated and all, it deserves 5 stars. It was clean and the amenities provided were plentiful for a short stay.
AAnastasiiaChisWe have never been treated so well in any hotel in the world. Service 10/10. Very respectful attitude, it's embarrassing. They offer to call a taxi, give you water for the road, if you go to a nearby restaurant and it's raining outside, they'll even give you an umbrella for the evening. Breakfast has everything you need. The only thing is that the mattress is not a double, but two singles, they move apart, but that's been the case in all hotels lately, so it doesn't matter.
IIrinaSibirI choose Alex Hotel to spend half-night and morning between flights. That was good choice because taxi delivered me to the hotel in about ten minutes ( it is a few kilometers before e the city), the hotel was easy to find, and I was met and checked in at 3 in the night. The place is quiet and the room was clean. Hot water in the bathroom. I would recommend a curtain for the shower, because it was impossible to take a shower, water splashing over the entire bathroom, literally. The breakfast included rice with chick peas, smth like vegetarian shawarma, salad of cabbage and carrot, two kinds of cookies, tea, and coffee. A cost of 3000 drams is a little bit too much, in my opinion. However, in the whole, the hotel is good for overnight between flights.
VViacheslavThe hotel itself is excellent. The staff is very friendly, always helpful. Everything inside is very beautifully decorated. Excellent rooms, everything is new. I liked the mattresses (they wrote in the reviews that they were hard). On the fourth floor there is a terrace from which you can see Ararat. The main disadvantage is the location. The hotel is a little far from the center. Although you can get to the center by taxi. It takes 5-10 minutes and costs 200 rubles. There is also a metro station nearby. There is a good store across the road. You will not find any decent cafes or restaurants nearby, you can only go to the center. Or eat in the hotel itself. There is nowhere to walk either. But such hotels in the center cost at least twice as much.
GGuest UserLocated between 2 Metro Stations, accessible by walk from both. 24 hours running shops are easily found nearby. Room shape is a bit strange but it is very clean and comfortable, shower is strong enough and central heating system works well, bed is comfy, breakfast quality is superb and quite satisfactory, I liked the peach and apricot juice very much.
GGuest UserI highly recommend this hotel. It is located in the city center, within walking distance of
Revolution Square, New Year's Fair. Also nearby are grocery stores and currency exchange offices.
Very tasty breakfasts. Buffet, almost every day they tried to cook a variety of dishes. Home-style, soulful ❤️
You could also cook lunch in the kitchen or cook your own.
The renovation in the room is a bit outdated, the walls were dirty in some places. There was an incomplete double bed, and 2 were pushed together with separate mattresses.
But the rooms were always clean, towels and bed linen were changed on time. True, fresh towels smelled strongly of bleach.
Honestly, for the sake of breakfasts we are ready to come back here again)
GGuest UserI loved this hotel. Genial staff always looking to be of help. Breakfast was great. Location great for eating with many restaurants. Yerevan is small and should be done on foot. Room was clean and well-appointed. Just a tad too small for an opened suitcase. I definitely recommend this hotel.
EEVGENIIgood location, good room for the money, looks like new, clean, staff good, the room only had 2 outlets and no fridge, but to spend one night is a good option
AAr JayIt’s outside the city center so it’s far from attractions. A 20-30min Metro ride to the center. No nearby restaurants. You have to go to the Yerevan Mall or the Yerevan Market to get food. It’s a bit of a walk, 15mins. But there is one small convenience store in fron of the hotel. Room is spacious. It’s like a studio apartment. Very big for one person. Breakfast is buffet style, but not too great. Hotel staffs are accommodating. He helped me get a Taxi going to the airport.
