Hotels With Breakfast in Calabria, Italy

.......mi stayed one night, in transit from Lamezia. Despite the modest approach of the first, the small hotel Dreams of Gold Airport is really great. The staff is very helpful to get a good breakfast. The price of the hotel is excellent, the price of the b&b. The treatment is very decorative from three-star hotels with all the comforts. I will surely return to it.

Popilia is a truly magical place, on a gently sloping plateau, with centuries-old forests and beautiful botanical specimens. The spa is excellent, with a Kneipp path and high-quality saunas. The restaurant is very well looked after in every respect, especially the very elegant and professional service, the excellent cook and a good wine list, nothing is missing. I recommend it to everyone, great resort of excellent international standard.

We were nervous to book here based on the mix reviews. Especially this being the only 3 star hotel we booked throughout our trip however, it had the most comfiest bed out of all our stays in Italy. The only downfall to the excellent location is the parking as it is difficult to find at busy times. However, the payable option is almost always available on the blue line side. Breakfast was okay not a whole ton of options. Everything was clean to standard except for the shower… we wore sandals due to the black mold in the corners of the shower. Not to make excuses, but I find this common in a lot of Italy’s hotels as you need to take into consideration of how old most of these places are. Overall, it was a pretty good stay since most of the time you are out and about exploring.

The hotel all in all was great. The staff were kind and accommodating. The room I booked(423) was a junior suite. But it had this funny smell when coming into the room. But it was nice and spacious and had a really expansive bathroom. We switched to the room opposite (401) and it had a great sea view. Especially love the curtains surrounding the bedroom area! And the blackout curtains were great if you want to sleep in. The bathroom in this room was not as large as the previous room but it was charming. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices. But if you want hot food you need to pay extra. The air conditioning was not up to par with what I expected. It only goes down up to 22.5 and for me that’s still warm to have a cozy night’s dream. But that’s just me. It’s near the high street and the famous gelato shop! They do have siestas so most of the shops are closed from 3-7 pm. Try the ADDUMA restaurant near the hotel. It’s fantastic! The hotel’s restaurant looks fabulous during the night. And you can go out to the terrace and enjoy the wonderful sea view with night lights lovingly encompassing the Lungomare Falcomata.

Excellent position close to beautiful via Marina with old giant trees, elegant corso Garibaldi, the Harbour hidtofoils peer to Messina and the foremost interesting archeological museums with the impressive statues of Bronzi di Riace. The rooms are spacious and clean with nice bathrooms. The location is quiet and the staff is kind and supportive. There is also a small and good restaurant to solve the needs of a quick tasty dinner. The hotel claims four star but there are some doubts because of absence e. g. of courtesy slipperies and bathrobe, the non convenient location and unavailability of electric sockets ose to the bed nor USB ports.

La mia esperienza con il B&B Omnia Scilla è stata estremamente negativa e non posso fare altro che sconsigliarlo vivamente. Ho prenotato per errore un soggiorno presso questa struttura, ma appena ho effettuato il pagamento mi sono reso conto di aver sbagliato paese. Ho immediatamente contattato sia il proprietario del B&B Omnia Scilla che il sito di prenotazione Booking per spiegare il mio errore. Entrambi mi hanno assicurato che non ci sarebbero stati problemi, ma che avrei dovuto aspettare 48 ore per ottenere il rimborso della prenotazione. Tuttavia, dopo soli 24 ore, ho ricevuto un messaggio da Booking che affermava che il proprietario del B&B si era lamentato del fatto che non mi fossi presentato. Questo dimostra la totale mancanza di correttezza da parte dei proprietari del B&B Omnia Scilla, i quali non sembrano essere in grado di offrire un buon servizio ai propri ospiti. Pertanto, sconsiglio vivamente a tutti di prenotare presso questo B&B, poiché ci sono molte altre strutture migliori nel paese. Lo stesso vale per l'app Booking, che sembra divertirsi a prendere in giro i propri clienti. Ho avuto un problema simile con il sito Trivago, ma in quel caso il problema è stato risolto in soli 10 minuti, il che dimostra che ci sono alternative migliori a Booking. Non posso biasimare completamente Booking, poiché sembra che non siano in grado di gestire adeguatamente tutti i loro clienti. Tuttavia, la mia esperienza negativa con il B&B Omnia Scilla e la mancanza di supporto da parte di Booking mi portano a sconsigliare vivamente entrambi.

Ein Hotel liegt direkt gegenüber vom Bahnhof und unmittelbar an der Hauptstraße, also ideal zur Zwischenübernachtung. Positiv anzumerken ist auf jeden Fall die Freundlichkeit des Personals, sowie die Parkmöglichkeiten an der Rückseite. Man geht vom Parkplatz zum Hotel durch eine Art Tunnel, trockenen Fußes und sicher, doch dann kommt die Treppe. Es gibt zwar einen Aufzug, der für das Untergeschoß jedoch für Gäste nicht nutzbar ist. Das Zimmer machte einen etwas abgewohnten Eindruck, es ist aber sauber. Die Betten sind einigermaßen bequem, allerdings ist der Fernsehempfang defekt. Selbst der Rezeptionist konnte daran nichts ändern. Das Restaurant ist sauber und macht einen guten Eindruck, die Speisen sind sehr gut. Allerdings, der Ober brachte uns die Getränke und das Essen - und das war's. Es wurde weder abgeräumt, noch kam jemand, um sich nach weiteren Wünschen zu erkundigen. Dafür war das Frühstück ausgezeichnet mit sehr nettem Personal.

The hotel is in the best location. We 3 oceanfront rooms & a suite. The suite is not really a suite but it was okay. It’s very clean, pretty & for the most part staff is very nice. There was one reception staff member that always seemed flustered & was not so helpful. The rest of them at the desk were great. But, please beware of the balcony doors!! We booked ocean front but could NOT use the balconies because the doors were complicated to open (had NO instructions). In one of the rooms, we attempted to open the balcony doors but they were not working well (probably broken). We then tried turning the lever left instead of right, and it got worse. We immediately reported it! At check out, I was charged 180 euros for the broken door handle!!! I also paid over 2000 euros for 4 nights. We were very easy going & patient guests even when our room refrigerator was broken and they could not accommodate us to park in their garage. But, we are very upset now that we were charged an exorbitant amount of money for a broken handle and we are not even sure if we did break it because when we tried opening it the right way, it did open either. We feel that they took advantage of us because we are American tourists. My family who lives in neighboring towns told us that we should have refused to pay. Anyway, I wanted to forewarn everyone so that they make sure to not accidentally dent or break anything. And, if something is already broken, well good luck in explaining it to them snd expect to be charged for it. The rating deserves to be Poor or Terrible because of the extra charge but I am giving them credit for their other redeeming things.

Arrived after midnight and was met by Lorenzo on very good form. We had booked the penthouse apartment for 4 nights, and we were very happy with the accommodation - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large living area with an open kitchen. The stars of the show are definitely the outside terrace, and the apartments location - very central for all amenities and a short walk to the beach, bars, and restaurants. Lorenzo arranged our transfers and indulged us with a welcome drink or 3, which, after arriving late, was most welcome . We all loved Reggio Calabria and plan to return. If we do, we will definitely stop at the Pellicano again.

I was at a medical conference, and I was really and enthusiastic with the unprecedented kindness of all the staff, always available and laughing. The hotel is very nice with a swimming pool in the green and a private beach which is accessible by a safe 50 meters subway. Advised for any kind of person, from families to work trips. More can't be asked

Hotel is very central to the shops and Resturants , for parking they have a garage in another street that they will guide to find the garage just one road down easy to find you have to pay €20 but it’s worth it , becuse in the area there is no parking spaces or you have to be lucky to find one becuse it’s too busy, breakfast could be better for a 4 star hotel but and the AC needs a service becuse it wasn’t working well , above all it was ok

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per un viaggio di famiglia,purtroppo solo una notte,ma torneremo sicuramente. Il personale è veramente gentile. Abbiamo dormito in una suite,molto comoda e spaziosa,camere pulite e colazione ricca di scelta ed abbondante. Lo consigliamo vivamente.

Grand et bel hôtel, dans le haut de la ville, dans un quartier agréable, non loin du centre ville, où il est difficile de stationner mais où le stationnement est en revanche gratuit. L'accueil est bon. Nous aurons une chambre qui donne ne donne pas sur la mer, mais sur de belles villas. Belle chambre, agréable. Très bon petit-déjeuner en bas de l'hôtel. Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit. L'hôtel est situé tout près de la rue qui descend vers le centre-ville. Nous déjeunerons en centre-ville dans une trattoria simple mais au très bon menu (Ceravolo). A noter que les plages sont à 15 km. Grandes plages, non payantes, où nous étions quasiment seuls en septembre !

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights on business. We were a large group and we arrived late at night - all the rooms were ready and the staff were nice. The hotel is a medium rise property on the waterfront *****. It's nice and feels very ”old world” with lots of the common areas and restaurant having very old style furniture - works though. I was on the 4th floor but not a room with an ocean view. There was some refurbishments going on in the hotel but there were no noise issues for me. Spacious room, good enough wi-fi. Breakfast was a bit on the smaller side compared to higher star hotels, but still fine. The staff speak enough English to get by if you don't have any Italian. There's the beach right across the road and it'd great for a swim or suntanning. There's a few shops / cafes / restaurants etc around, but this is not near the main (old) town of Catanzaro (20min drive away) if you're looking for the Italian Old Town experience. Catanzaro probably isn't on many peoples list of places to see in Italy, but for what we were doing it was fine. We did end up in the Old Town (for work) and we did try Bobs Pizza - recommended for a great / different pizza experience.

Whenever we visit family, we are excited to return to Hotel Marechiaro and see all their great staff, especially Franco and Sylvia! The accommodations, service and property are all first class. We needed a hotel for one night after train ride from Ravenna to Bologna where we changed onto the high-speed FrecciaRossa for the 9 hour ride from Bologna to Reggio do Calabria. In fact the problem was worse than we expected because trains from Ravenna to Bologna were cancelled (Deleted in TrenItalia English) so we were on later trains and didn't arrive until nearly midnight. But the hotel was very welcoming, the bed was comfortable and we slept well, the breakfast was satisfactory and it all worked well. Can't tell you much more about it but for that one night it was great and not expensive.
