Novotel hotel chain is stable. Suitable for self-driving tours. On the edge of the main road, it may be inconvenient to not drive by car, and it is several kilometers away from the central area of the city.
The stay overall was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff on reception very helpful! They helped to organise transport from the airport for us, which was very easy with a lovely and informative driver who advised us on things to see and what we were driving past! The hotel was lovely and clean, the shower and facilities amazing and just a fab stay overall.
Grazie
Facilities: There is a swimming pool, but it is not open in winter. For people on business trips, there is a lack of office desks and stools in the room, which is a bit inconvenient for office work.
Hygienic: clean, the health staff is still very responsible. There is no bathtub and the shower room is very small.
Environment: Not too far from the attractions and the city, quiet around, no Chinese restaurants around.
Service: The front desk and restaurant staff are very welcoming.
At the highway entrance and exit, it is 42 kilometers to Positano, 18 kilometers to Pompeii, and 36 kilometers to Naples. It is an off-center but accessible location. The room is quite big, with a mountain view across the way, and the parking lot is large and free. It's much more cost-effective than living in urban areas or scenic spots. There are only two cafes in the surrounding area, but there are also two super warehouse supermarkets. It is estimated that people from all over the country come to buy goods. There is a chicken restaurant just a few steps away. The owner is enthusiastic and the dishes are all on the counter. If you don’t speak the language, it’s no problem.
I chose this hotel because I was staying in Naples. I was worried about the security, but nothing happened. It's different from Japan, so you may need to be careful when walking at night. The hotel itself was very good. One of the staff members spoke Japanese. They also upgraded my room. It was a very good stay.
Superbe hôtel, très facile d'accès à la sortie de l'autoroute.
Parking surveillé !
Chambre rien à redire !
Wifi impeccable.
Petit déjeuner très copieux et très diversifié.
Personnel très accueillant
The front desk was very friendly. This hotel is relatively good in Naples. There are several supermarkets around. The breakfast is delicious. The only thing is that the transportation to Naples is not so convenient. I suggest you take the train.

Very Good
GGuest UserWe spent several days in this hotel. We liked the location of the hotel on the first line, across the road from the beach. Breakfast is good, on the terrace with a beautiful view, also on the 5th floor there is a swimming pool, sun loungers and umbrellas from the sun. The staff is friendly. We will be happy to return.
GGuest UserThe bar to have drinks in the evening is filthy, dirty table linens that are not linens, had marks that has been used and spilt drinks or food. The chairs and table feels and looks dirty, we took our drinks in our room instead. The breakfast has no cooked food just hard boiled eggs, bread are hard, people have to queue to wait to be served by 1 waiter, you cannot take from the table, waiter has to serve even coffee. It’s scary around the hotel, police are always there, dodgy shops around. Stay nearby or at hotels around Ovo Castle. It’s too dirty aroung Gibraldi station where this hotel is located.
AAngelaHotel itself is pretty standard as what you would expect from any big chain hotels, but service was definitely not up to par. We were told there would be valet service - there was none. The bus boys just told us to park ourselves. FINE. Then after I've checked in I asked if the luggage will be sent up to our room - reception then asked if I got a luggage ticket to which I told him we weren't given anything. The bus boys just stood around the entrance. He said they would be sent up shortly but given how they were just standing around we just took our luggage ourselves - mind you I am 6 months pregnant and obviously so but they did not offer any help. Once we got to our room the air conditioning was not working - we kept dialing it down but there was no air. Amazing to find out the AC wasn't working for the price we paid. The room is stuffy and even the hallway was cooler. Also during our stay there was conference - we were given a room on the same floor as conference participants and as expected they were loud and rowdy at night. We could hear them talking in the hallway at night when we called reception they said there was nothing they can do. So very helpful. Upon check out, the same bus boy stood around while watching a pregnant lady wheel 4 pieces of luggage out. I really just wonder what they do other than standing around all day hanging in the shade. Service is terrible here and I've had better service at small boutique or family run hotels than here. The only upside to this stay was that the rooms are spacious and clean and that's about it.
放放浪旅First of all, this price is exceptional at a hotel in front of the station, not a hostel. It's close to the central station, but Naples felt that the cobblestones were ragged and the road was far away (laughs). I was impressed by the fact that there is such a small hotel. For some reason, the place indicated by Google Maps is behind the hotel, and it is better to be careful as it is guided by the locals and finally arrived. It seems difficult for people with large luggage because there is no elevator. Amenity is shampoo only. Also, while I was sleeping, I was stabbed by a strange insect 8 (I don't think it's a mites because there is no blood vampire ...), and my right hand was concentratedly stabbed and my right hand swollen into panpan 😂 I was stabbed even though I didn't peek. i wonder if it's dangerous to sneak up ...
However, all the employees were kind! The free breakfast was delicious too!
GGuest UserI would think with the pictures showing a pool and daybeds these would be free but when we got there they told us they are 15euro each day to use even though we are hotel guests. The reason we chose a hotel with a pool rather than paying for 1 at the beach. Very disappointed.
The showers are very small we aren’t big people and found it hard showering.
Balcony was good as could rinse clothes and dry outside but just placed over the chairs.
No kettle in the room but can get free coffee with breakfast. Breakfast was included which was great.
Scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, danishes, juice and coffee.
Location was great coming off the ferry as right at the port with luggage.
If going to town it’s a big stair case up to the top or you can walk along the beach to the lift down the road which is 2 euro to use.
The bar upstairs has amazing sunsets, lovely watching the sun go down and they have a DJ playing lovely slow singing music which all generations could enjoy. The drinks are slightly priced at the bar though.
The restaurant at bottom of hotel was great. 7 euro Margherita pizza and you get 10% off being a hotel guest.
I would probably next time stay in town as closer to everything but I like walking and hiking for exercise so the big staircase worked for me but wouldn’t for lots of people. I think the hotel may of said they have free taxi to town but not 100 % sure.
OoliviachenzwWe stayed 3 nights at Santa Fortunata Village in Dodome Tent No. 9 and had a pleasant experience overall. The village is located a bit outside of Sorrento town, but since we were driving, the distance wasn’t an issue. For those not driving, they do offer a buggy service, which is convenient.
Our tent didn’t have the best view, but we were still able to catch beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was quiet and peaceful throughout our stay, with no disturbances from other campers. The bed was comfortable, and the tent included a plug point and two USB ports. However, there were no built-in lights, so we recommend bringing your own portable USB light.
There were ants on the ground, but it wasn’t a major problem. The parking lot was spacious, and the shared bathrooms and toilets were a short walk away. Showers had hot water, and there were plenty of basins and mirrors available. The provided hair dryer was quite weak, so it’s better to bring your own if needed.
The village also has mini marts and a restaurant. We had dinner at the restaurant once—it was a bit pricey, but the atmosphere was elegant and enjoyable. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. They offer excursions as well, though we had already planned our own itinerary.
All in all, it was a comfortable and quiet glamping experience. We'd definitely consider coming back!
KKen LotsoThe hotel is located near Sorrento train station, about 5 minutes' walk away, which is convenient and fast. The hotel staff are also willing to help.
However, the hotel's hygienic condition is average. In just one day, 4 flies were seen in the room. The decoration of the room is also relatively old. The breakfast has basic Western options, all of which taste good.
Generally speaking, if you are only staying for a short time, you can also choose this hotel.
GGuest UserI had a short overnight stay so the location is ideal about 400m walking from the main train station. Although a good location it is not a good area at night, a lot of homeless people but there are also some nice restaurants on Garabaldi Square and good coffee shops nearby for pastries and coffee for breakfast. The Hotel reception is on the 2nd floor of the building, big staircase and as others say no lift. Not good for older people or if you have big luggage to carry. The Checkin was fine, the man explained the basics and took me to my room. The cleanliness was perfect, so clean, plenty of fresh white towels, and bathroom was spotless, no problem there. He also gave me the remote control for the air conditioning and that also worked really great so you could sleep well. Bed was fine, seemed clean also, as someone said Quirky decoration. And surprisingly quiet. So if you aren’t after a fancy hotel room it’s fine. Only Basic liquid soap amenity supplied. The Front door is locked at 8 pm, and the hotel rooms access, they give you a keys to access, so it seems quite safe, closing early in that area is probably a good thing . Easy to walk to the Old Town and all the sights.
