I loved Dormy Inn's amenities: the on-site hot springs, complimentary ice pops, Yakult, and evening soba noodles. The service was very friendly, and there's even a free foot bath right outside the entrance.
To get there: Take a ferry from Hiroshima Port to Matsuyama Port. Upon arrival, take a shuttle bus to Takahama Station. From Takahama Station, take the train to Otemachi Station (on this line, Umezu-dera Station is the second stop after Otemachi). Once you exit Otemachi Station, cross the road and catch the tram heading towards Dogo Onsen. Get off at Okaido (大街道), and the hotel is just a two to three-minute walk further in.
The only minor improvement would be for the bedding and bathrobes to be as fresh and dry as the bath towels – that would make the experience absolutely perfect!
Excellent location, very near Dogo Onsen and Shopping Street. Just need go via elevator, which is exclusive for hotel guests and well-connected. Hotel onsen is also good for use, no need to go with the crowd at Dogo Onsen.
If you're traveling with family, especially with your parents, this is a place I definitely recommend!! The size of the place is so huge that even if there's nothing nearby, just playing around inside the place is so much fun! The quality of the breakfast, dinner, and buffet is amazing... There's a massage shop, table tennis table, bar, and more, so there's nothing you can't find. The hot springs are amazing, and it was perfect to enjoy the hot springs while looking out at the forest. ㅠㅠ If I go to Matsuyama next time, this is a place I'll definitely be visiting again!!
Hotel is in a great spot for doing Shimanami Kado cycling route. Breakfast has a good selection. Room size is reasonably ok for Japan hotels. Room is able to store bike if needed
This is a hotel with history and stories. The Japanese emperor and the great Japanese writer Natsume have stayed here. The hotel service is good and they will help deliver the luggage to the room. Check-in is at 3pm. We arrived at noon and could only go to Dogo Onsen Street for a walk and wait until after 3pm to go back to the hotel to rest. The kaiseki cuisine for dinner at the hotel is good, and the steak is very tender. There are Western and Japanese breakfast options, and we chose Japanese breakfast. The hotel's hot springs are average, on the second and third floors of the South Building, and the third floor is a cypress hot spring. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station, which is quite close, but it is uphill from the station. We took a taxi from the hotel at Matsuyama City Station for 1,630 yen.
The staff at the front desk were efficient, though they came across as cold and reserved. The room was disappointing, with run-of-the-mill furniture/furnishings and a creaky chair. The lights were too dim. There was no view as the lower half of the window was blocked by a wall. On the other hand, the bathroom looked quite elegant and was kept clean.
The location is great. There are plenty of dining & shopping options nearby. The hotel has a shopping mall on the lower floors and is next to Mitsukoshi Department Store and Okaido Shopping Street. The Okaido Tram Stop is down the street. The bus stop for the airport limousine is right in front of Mitsukoshi. Attractions such as Bansuiso, Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum and the cable car to Matsuyama Castle are all within walking distance.
The hotel is clean and tidy. For self-check-in, staff are available to assist. You can pick up skincare products and toothbrushes at the front desk on the 2nd floor. Guests can enjoy the hotel's hot spring for free. It's very convenient for shopping, with Takashimaya right next door and two convenience stores downstairs.
Transportation is incredibly convenient. Please note, it's right next to Matsuyama-shi Station (not JR Matsuyama Station). If you need to go to JR Matsuyama Station, there's a tram stop downstairs that also provides direct access to Okaido, the Matsuyama Castle Ropeway, Dogo Onsen, and more. From Iyo-Tetsu Matsuyama-shi Station, where the hotel is located, you can also directly reach Baishinji Temple, a popular spot for fans of 'Tokyo Love Story.' Additionally, there's a highway bus terminal nearby, offering more economical travel to places like Takamatsu, Tokushima, and Osaka compared to taking the train, just for your reference.
The buffet breakfast is indeed excellent; the five types of orange juice and the sea bream rice bowl alone make it worth it. Every afternoon until evening, welcome drinks and coffee are also available for self-service on the 2nd floor.
Nice location. It's just like an ordinary Japanese hot spring hotel, the highlight is the hot spring pool on the top floor, where you can look up at the stars at night. The dinner was average (felt like a group meal). As other reviews suggested, if you don't have a meal package, you can go to the hot spring street to eat and you might have a better experience.
Came here for some business. The hotel is very good in the local area. The breakfast is rich and the scenery is also very good. The price is much more cost-effective than Tokyo and Osaka. It is an authentic Japanese niche place. I will come here for a trip next time.

CCengaoshuangGreat location! The airport shuttle drops you right at the hotel, which is super convenient. It's located directly on a shopping street, making dining, shopping, and browsing all very easy.
The hotel is clean and hygienic. Although it's small, it has everything you need.
You can book breakfast, and it's delicious with a good variety. I always ate so much I could skip lunch!
Service was excellent.

Mma-kuIt is located in the area ahead of the track of Dogo Onsen Station.
I don't recommend it very much because the road is narrow in the residential area to go by car.
Overall, the lighting is dim, but the price is reasonable, so there may be no way around.
I thought there was a plan to rent a bed in the room at the time of booking and stay.
CCHINOn New Year's Eve, I came to Nagahama and stayed in this hotel. When I dislocated the Sakamoto dragon horse, the last stop in the four countries was a must-visit place for travelers who loved the history of the end of the curtain and the restoration of Sakamoto dragon horse.
The hostess is very hospitable, and has a rich culture of history, fully appreciates the politeness, culture and introvertedness of the Japanese.
Breakfast is traditional Japanese food, I and my travel companions like it very much, because it is the New Year, the hostess also specially cooked the New Year's limited お stew.
Changbin town is a very quiet and beautiful place, rich house gold guard guard is the best memory in this town.
GGuest UserThe fresh fish was not simply served on a large platter, but was carefully cooked and served one by one, like in a small restaurant. I was able to enjoy my meal slowly and feel happy while sipping on some alcohol.
The room was also very clean and comfortable.
The staff were also friendly and kind, which made my heart feel fulfilled.

LLvxingBBAdaguanLike many Japanese hotels, ”the sparrow is small and complete”, although the hotel room is not big, it has all the facilities, the location is very good, just opposite JR Uwajima Station, the overall price is very high. But the hotel is old, the room wall and toilet even cracked. If it is for general sightseeing in Uwajima City the next day or the next day from Uwajima Station, it is convenient to take a car and want to reduce the accommodation expenses as much as possible, then this is very suitable, but if it is for leisure vacation or high-end accommodation for the first purpose, then this personal feeling can be Not quite.

GGuest UserConventient location; 10 minute walk to nearest bus station, and about 30 minutes max travel time to anywhere we wanted to go!
Room was clean and compact; but the double bed is quite squeezy if you're fitting two people inside.
Buffet breakfast is 1300¥ if you inquire the day before you intend to eat. It is 1500¥ if you buy it on the day itself.
Accidentally booked a smoking room; but the staff were kind enough to change it for us once they had a room.
RRob LeblancAn excellently located hotel for touring the city. It is right across from the main shopping street. Located on the tram line with short rides to most tourist attractions in Matsuyama.
The rooms are well appointed and the parking is accessed from the rear of the hotel site. It is an automated parking system which requires you to drive it into and out of the elevator before it is whisked away.
I’d recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Matsuyama.
