Given that the hotel is abit old, the 3 star cleanliness is referring to the old facility at guy side onsen. It’s not maintain well and everything looks old. It’s 10mins walking distance to bus terminal and another 5-6mins to yubatake. Bonus point gives to free shuffle from/to daitokon with the very precise bus schedules. Room is clean but bear in mind, it’s not non-smoking hotel so might have chance to smell cigarette smell in room. Fortunately, our room is good. Overall we satisfy with our stay at kusatsu onsen resort.

Location is good, easier accessible from the bus station and within 3 minutes walk from the Yubatake. But it is surrounded by construction and therefore the view is not attractive. Service quality is good, staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. Food quality overall is fine. Yet tradition Japanese cuisine would make the experience of an onsen vacation whole more than fusion cuisine. Choice of onsen is limited versus the price level. Only 1 public bath is available. The 4 rental baths add more to the range of choice but they are quite quickly occupied.

Had great stay. 👍 Do note that the building has no lift and be cautious to lower your voice due to thin walls. Some room has no shower facilities. Overall good stay.

The hotel is very old, mainly for the hot springs and ski resorts, so the old hotel facilities can be tolerated. If you imagine a luxurious trip with comfortable facilities and beautiful hot springs, then don't choose this hotel. The ski resort can be skied in and out from the hotel, which is absolutely great for skiers. The restaurant is good. There are buffets and à la carte kaiseki cuisine. This hotel has many ********* friends, and there is also a ski training team on the first floor of the hotel. Speak Chinese, only cash is accepted. I didn't see the stars at night. The hotel is almost full, so the service staff are very busy. The phone in the room is basically unreachable. The hotel is high in the mountains, there is no pharmacy nearby, and it is not convenient to travel. So families with children need to carry daily backup medicines. Skiing is good, hot springs are good!

food is amazing so as the onsen, we went all the way out to try all the different onsen waters in a night. attentive staffs who greet whenever they see us. one thing might be the private onsens rooms are a bit dirty & not looked after since they only clean once every day I think.

The ryokan is perfectly located near the bus station and the city center. The onsen is great and the room is good.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. You can see the hotel and find the hotel entrance when you walk to Yubatake. Dinner and breakfast are generally OK. The hotel is a bit old.

It was almost an excellent stay. Good room, huge window with beautiful view, clean bathroom. Also they have amenities on the 1st floor near the lobby and this is a great idea. Thank you.

This is a hotel with a long history since the Edo period. It is 2 minutes away from the bus station and Yuten. The hotel's meticulous service is meticulous and thoughtful, with a smile on your face, and the special apple juice is very delicious. The dinner is Kaiseki cuisine, and you can experience it one dish at a time. The food is quite rich. Special praise for Liu San who can speak Chinese. The service is very good, which makes us communicate barrier-free and feel at ease. The hot spring is also very comfortable. I have never experienced such a service-oriented hotel.
